We had consultant come and do some IT work for us a while back. He was studying for his next Pilot's exams, and boy, were there exams. Lots of weather stuff, obviously navigation, and there's no way any of that works on a flat Earth, so a FLERF just wouldn't pass a pilot exam. They'd have been taught how things work on a globe, and seen how things work on a globe, so how then could they doubt it?

Things I never learned in flight training:
-How to avoid flying off the edge of the Earth.

-How to fly around our small, local sun so I don't hit it.
-Where to submit my non-disclosure agreement about the "true" shape of the Earth.

The problem with trying to prove anything with flat earth sufferers is that they won’t believe anything you show them. Show then a video of opposite direction traffic on TCAS visually being above the horizon and they won’t understand. How can you get them to realise that a plane, half way across the Atlantic, can only communicate via CPDLC and that VHF comms don’t work? How can you demonstrate the agony of trying to talk to Indian ATC on HF? They’ll just reply it’s all lies and rubbish and NASA / lizard overlords are controlling everything.

They fail to explain how, this star, that can only be seen south of the Equator, can be seen in South America, looking directly south, and also be seen in Australia, looking directly south, and seen in South Africa, looking, again, directly south. You understand that Sigma Octantis is a pole star, right? Or as close as we have to a pole star. If you were to do a time exposure of this star, all stars would seem to rotate around it over the course of a few hours, or as long as you can see the stars in the night sky. But how, globber? How do you see this in South America and then see the same thing looking directly south, which is 180 degrees turned around, in Australia? Flats have the answer, but globbers pathetically do not. Just goes to prove the saying... flat is where it's at.

Here's a "discussion" I had with a flat Earther on a Facebook group.
He was arguing, as do all flerfs, that rockets cannot possibly work in space. After much questioning, I finally got him to explain how rockets work: by pushing off of air.
So I asked him if he could agree with these 2 premises: rockets accelerate as they gain elevation, and that air density gets lower as you gain elevation. (He accepted the fact there is less atmospheric pressure on top of Mt. Everest than at sea level). By now he was trapped, but just didn't know it yet.
I followed up with "How can rockets accelerate as they gain elevation if there is less and less air to push off of?"
His response? "PROVE THAT ROCKETS ACCELERATE!"
He had agreed 15 seconds earlier.
What I find particularly funny is that he wanted me to prove that rockets accelerate, not that atmospheric pressure decreases. I mean c'mon, you really think a rocket is going at the same speed 2 miles up as it was 50 feet off the ground?
It's really telling of the flat Earth mindset: conserve their beliefs at all costs.

It was a long overnight run on a lonely road for me, so I turned the CB radio on. Now CB radios only receive a few miles away, and this conversation went on for a good hour or more. So whomever it was, was running with me, and not far away.
He was explaining how to pick up a hopper load (type of dry bulk trailer) of potatoes in Idaho and run it down to Louisiana. He was explaining all the do's and don'ts, the ins and outs, and all the inside information about the scales, police, road and weather conditions you find along the way. He was a veritable fountain of information that night. He sounded like someone who really had done it enough to do it again in his sleep.
But then things took an unexpected turn.
He was telling us how you never want to pull a full load (80,000 lbs in the US) out of Idaho because potatoes absorb moisture from the air on the way to Louisiana. And by the time you get to the humidity of Louisiana, those potatoes could absorb an extra 2000 lbs or more of water. He then went on to tell us about the fines and troubles offloading a ton of potatoes before being allowed to complete your delivery.
It all sounded good until he started talking about the variable humidity in Idaho. And that on a humid day, you could load more weight than on a dry day. When asked how to know how much you can load on any given day, he said, "When you're out in the field waiting to be loaded, you find yourself a frog. Then you flip it over on its back and rub its belly. If the belly feels dry, you need to leave up to 2000 pounds, because those potatoes will be as dry as the air. But if the belly feels wet, then its safe to load up to your limit"
At that, I started laughing so hard I almost put my own truck into a ditch. He really had me going, and sounded super credible until he dropped that fat one on us.
In the years since, I pulled a number of potato loads out of Idaho (and lots of onions too). But it was always a backhaul in a refrigerated trailer. And I always went to Minnesota or Wisconsin. So the humidity disparity was never an issue. Too bad too, because you'll never catch me rubbing any frog bellies out there in the field.

And with the point I brought up earlier about the position in the sky, it proves the earth is round. With the rotation, because it is at the base of the rotation, all the stars would seem to spin around it. Furthermore Joshua himself in an interview with the news pointed out the refraction present. In fact if you look at his timelapse of the whole thing you see the image stretch the buildings up and down throughout and eventually they invert upon themselves confirming it was indeed high refraction conditions. On top of all of that a surveyor went out there with his equipment and demonstrated that it wasn't until the proper elevation was reached that you could see the tops of the buildings of chicago. he then measured to the buildings and confirmed curvature. This is also why they had multiple external fuel tanks that could be tacked on, and also why mid-air refueling capabilities were built-in to many such fighter craft. It's also why most fighter jet fights occur at subsonic intercept while descending from cruising altitude. It allows them to keep their KE up (so they are most maneuverable) while not having to worry about supersonic shockwaves during a turn ripping their wings off. F-14s, F-15s, F-16s, and F-18s all have to operate this way. They only go supersonic to escape or gain distance, and then only in a mostly straight line. Okay, since that's what they're doing. Why are they doing that? Who do they have to alter these flight plans for? Aren't the people that read these flight plans already "In-the-know" about the Earth being flat? Why do they need to go through all this extra work to prove something that has no necessity to be proven. It affects no one on Earth in any way shape or form. Knowledge of the Earth being actually flat would literally change NOTHING about everyone's daily lives, and no amount of money would be lost as a result. There's a balance that supposedly "depends" on this knowledge that, coincidentally no one in CENTURIES, not even ONE person came forward to blow the whistle, yet every single solitary secret on earth has had at least ONE whistleblower before the secret came out. Hell, we even have whistleblowers for Aliens! I have yet to see one legit official from the government or ANYONE for that matter, coming forward with proof of a Flat earth. The Earth being the ONLY planet in the entire UNIVERSE that is flat, now THAT is something I struggle to believe, especially when you can observably see that the earth is globular. Just look UP!

The falling and, manipulation of, is measured in what, yea, gravity, G's, it's literally a gauge on the plane. Your nose is almost always up in cruise because of, what, yea, gravity. Guess what, steam gauge of this in every plane, ever, AoA. UGGH line of sight radio, beacons, radar based on altitude over horizon, declinations, GPS triangulation, FLCS trimming, altimeter using barometric which follows curve, I mean... I can't...
