This worked really well for me! I was skeptical at first because I was using thicker/newer mugs (with a thicker bottom) than the ones shown in the video, but it still worked really well. I'm so excited to pot some plants tomorrow using these new pots!! Thanks for the video!
im so nervous because i have the cutest mug that looks like a pot, it is thicker than your average mug. thank you for the reassurance! i will do this when i get home. 🤞
Just small tips here :-) if you are afraid of using the drill, you can soak the flower pot in water one day ago, then draw a circle (to make a hole) and use a hammer with a nail after putting a wet towel in the pot! Oh, you need to tape on the shape of the circle. You need to hammer very carefully! Love your video from Korea 💖
Very useful, I’m going to try this method as I have grown a citrus plant indoor and I’m planning to keep it in the mug as a bonsai.. Thanks for this video 😊
Sir today I drilled six ceramic bowls one I broke but the rest five perfectly done with out using the second driller Thank you sir for ur guidlines God bless you Good night
@@Urbanscapegardening sir great. Today I grilled holes for the rest of the 15 planters without using the electric driller. Only one broke. It's OK iam happy May be I gone crazy thank you so much Next I will try the big pots (10 )in nos good night
Thanks, great information, I'm going to try this as soon as I find some pots and cups with no holes. I never even thought of using a hammer first but that makes sense. :-)
Looking for a tutorial like this since I don't have the hollow diamond bit type of other tutorials but you use the typical steel spiral one, trying it right away, thank you for this.
Now you're talking! It's kind of difficult finding bloody drilling machines in Indian households! I wanted to plant succulents ....now I guess I'm going to use the darn hammer! Let's see how that goes! THANK YOU :)
@@Urbanscapegardening i have got perfecr cups which can be used for succulent planters, not that pro with the drilling machine.just scared to try this man!
This method did not work very well for me. It sent a crack across the bottom and 3/4 way up the side and punched a larger, non-circular hole. For the second cup, I only drilled. It takes longer, but is less risky.
I did it!!!!! And it worked with the hammer! Perfect hole! Never had the guts to use the hammer until i watched your video! Thanks bud!
You are welcome. Thanks
Ya it's really works. Great!!!
Thank u for trying
I saw a lot of cute coffee cups at Daiso and I’ll be turning them into flower pots. Thank you for this video!
I am sorry for my earlier comment,i tried and succeeded in making the hole with hammer in a ceremic pot, three of them .thanks and good luck
Oh that's great mam. :-)very happy to hear that.

Ur welcome 😁
I will give this a try with my ones. Thank you
A d best
Yup ... it really works .....thanks a lot.
Grt
It works better if you will do this under water
Ok
This is a thicker cup
What if i want to make hole in bone china vintage cup that is very thin..
Slow strokes and a deep breath 😉
Can I use an electric screwdriver?
Oh yes but be slow
Could've used ceramic drill bit, simple & easy way to drill hole cups
Yes 💯 different ways lead a single goal - the hole
good job 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Arnab
I am going to try this 👍

Hammer it away my friend!
Thank you. Hope this helped 😁. Good ol fashioned 🔨 will do the trick and use a small drill bit like the one in the video if you could.
Thank you for this video,at least I can make my own pot. 😃
Pot away my friend
Wow! Thanks...
Thanks 😊
I also did the same n successded👍
😇
good idea
Thank you
Btw, do I have to use that specific type of drill bit? Can I use anything else?
U can use any drill bit. I don't think that is an issue.
Most they use is diamond bit
Can this only be done with ceramics? Can this be done with clay/teracotta pots? Drills are expensive :(( Great video btw!
Terracotta has more chances of breaking. Thank you for watching 😊
TYSM! ^-^
You're welcome 😘
I need help with this pleaseee
Yes please?

Ohoo
this is what I'm very nervous about because the mug i have i got from a dear friend.
I dont believe, the view is blocked while you hammered.till 2 mins you only showed the cup
You are free to not believe mam :-)
Absolutely could not get this to work for me
Shucks! Experiment it with a not so good mug and then do the rest
Dragging
U can hold the nail tight if it drags
V long explanation
Sorry
This not ceramic cup😂😂😂 this is plastic
Ok if u feel so 😆
For two mins you showed only the cup
