I really enjoy watching you fellers work. It's an art with such heavy consequences if you don't do it correctly. Give a thanks to Buckin Billy Ray for steering me over this way ...
It's good to see the silent master again. You really have some of the best looking timber I have ever seen. Those first two stems were some good looking poplars clear for over forty feet it looks like. Thanks for the videos and keeper safe out there.
My first time watching your videos after seeing your appearance with Buckin’ Billy Ray. I enjoy seeing how you blokes do what you do. Keep up the great work.
Beautiful tulip! Also love your cutting. Hopefully all us loggers can all learn from you to take the time to clear escape routes and walk the tree around before throwing a saw in it. Lookin forward to more videos!
My first watch on your channel, you came recommended from a good friend,Buckin and when he gives a shout out to someone it is something special. Hopefully your channel will be blessed. Wow those skidders have some power and are interesting to watch. Maybe I will meet you at Bunyan. Blessings my new friend 🙏♥️👍
That skidder is identical to the one I ran in the 90s I loved it ours was in perfect condition I even steamed it off and painted it.put new seat on it.. that baby would scream.those 225s really are quick getting around in the woods..our brakes worked perfectly.. I miss those days working with my dad..never would have gave it up but needed more $$ plus health insurance
Hey was wondering what happened to the fearless woodslayer!! Good to see you are still knocking them down one to a time!!😂 You are in some beautiful wood!! Be safe!
Love seeing the mighty 390XP eat again and is that a 28” or 32” bar ? . Glad you’re in good health and still getting it done .You have the most awesome timber around . . Great video and thanks for sharing . One day it would be cool to see the lumber that comes out of those trees at the mill . I also really enjoy the videos of the truck loading the trees after you buck them . 😎
back in the old days U 😮😮 would have axes wedges and a old 2 man cross cut saw 2 cut trees down U used a cable around the trees and had climbing spikes 2 climb a tree and later on there was chainsaws the tree cutters wasn't even thought of yet U used a steam donkey horses or a bulldozer no skidders either until later on also the early skidders was back in the 196OS that I know of / horses had been around ever since the 14OOS and were used on farms 4 heavy draft work plowing fields then later on steam engines was used then there was gas and diesel tractors and also bulldozers also done alot of field work years ago 😊😊 OMG 6 18 2O24
Let me guess Aisian ash borers i had for several year a 1971 230 d best years of my life the recession in the late 1980s wiped me out log markets got wiped out i took a job plowing snow for my town government and eventually sold my beloved skidder . Now i am retired with a good pension and log with my atv for my pwn mill LOL
Yup you've done this before! Why do you like cutting on a pushing chain so much though? I've never seen someone back bar so much.. Not saying right wrong or indifferent, just curious..
Back barring is a little more work sometimes, but it sure beat walking around with your britches soaked with stagnant water and coon piss when they happen to be holler...🙄
