- As Hannah Ingram-Moore and her husband Colin are disqualified from being charity trustees by the Charity Commission, Tom Swarbrick speaks to Fundraising Regulator, Gerald Oppenheim, to find out why?
The charity watchdog has been investigating potential conflicts of interests between The Captain Tom Foundation and a company owned by the couple.
It confirmed on Wednesday that the pair had been disqualified from being charity trustees for a period of 10 and eight years respectively.
'The legal test for disqualification was met because there has been misconduct and/or mismanagement, the individuals are not fit to be a trustee or hold senior management functions and disqualification is in the public interest,' the Charity Commission said.
But the Ingram-Moore family has said they "fundamentally disagree" with the decision.

Captain Sir Tom's daughter and her husband have sullied the reputation of a fine old soldier. Even now, when their greed and efforts to benefit personally from the charity set up in his name have been thoroughly exposed, they are attempting to portray themselves as victims. This is disgusting.
They abused the old man’s reputation to make money.

I k now from my own 20 year Charity Commission experience that they dont come to this kind of decision lightly. Often, the founders of charities begin to see the charity as "theirs" and that, I'm afraid, starts to blur the line between the charity's property and their personal property. That is what I believe has happened here.
They saw an opportunity to make money for themselves. Pure greed. Captain Tom would be so angry and ashamed if he knew what his daughter did. I’m glad they are banned. It’s disgusting
