Infinite Spur Laps (May 2016)

- This is a collection of a few video clips, shot during a trip to the Kahiltna Glacier (Central Alaska Range) in May 2016. It includes some clips from acclimatizing on Denali, acclimatizing further on Mt. Crosson, climbing the Infinite Spur on May 27 with Rob Smith, climbing the Infinite Spur solo on June 1, and getting caught in a storm while descending the Sultana Ridge solo. It will probably be somewhat interesting to major alpine climbing nerds like myself, and painfully boring to others. The story that explains these random snippets can be found here: www.colinhaley.... Sorry about the F-words (It didn't cross my mind as potentially offensive at the time!), and sorry about the major overuse of the phrase, "Well, here I am!"

Love this guy and his climbs. Incredible courage. I've spent alot of days in the Alaska Range and even tried a solo of Denali in winter. Doing these difficult climbs solo is super impressive !!
I wanted that Route so badly during the 90s! Never had the resources (and who knows if I had the skill). Solid effort, Man. Really inspiring work.
Just heard the AAJ podcast where you talked about this, wild, amazing accomplishment
I've watched this dozens of times and can't get enough. Incredible climb! Keep gettin after it!
This is sick! I agree with Archil, I would love to see footage from other climbs!
Absolutely loving this stuff Colin, keep it up man!
I think little people in the world can truly appreciate how fucking terrifying that would be.
Interesting! Would be nice to see other footage of your climbs as well.
and yeah, this betrafol makes me think you're one from our ascent team whom i no longer recognise due to chillaxing altitude, hah!
Really impresive images,,, great push! Thanks for sharing!
0:38 "you're not even stretching Rob what the fck?" 🤣 Great vid and awesome adventures as always 🙏🏼
Fucking hilarious. Your understatement is spectacular, as well as prophetic. With the notable exception of, "....I'm slowly fucking dying..." which is true. Glad you survived. More adventures to share!
love these videos man
Joy division and Tool? Nice!
Love it!
1:20 Just casually standing on top of North America's highest mountain. No biggie. 😎
Strong work!
How late in the season can you climb the moose’s tooth?
Whats your layering system like on your legs for climbs like this?
thanks for putting this up, I know filming can be a hassle
what do you think of getting a belay jacket that is a size or 2 bigger for hand and butt coverage? was thinking of going that route when I get to getting a hyper puff. in killian jornet / Emilies last vid with acclimation they had the same idea it seems
what camera are you using awsome climbing
Good jobs man
