@@ugfupiojpjk2670 and the other gods millions of years in training while goku is just a middle aged saiyan. It's a combination of saiyan biology, training, and loads of plot progression requirements. I wonder why we don't see a lot of saiyans as gods of destructions since their whole life is based on seek amd destroy
Well the first quarter of episodes are a total perv fest but i get what you mean not counting the goku vs tien tournament fight most fights didn't take like 8 episodes to finish and the story was much richer than the later shows
I think the big thing here is that Popo's primary power is magic. People forget magic is a thing in the DB verse. Power levels are a representation of physical strength. Ki is also physical in nature. Magic is loosely defined in the DB verse and we have no way to judge how powerful it can actually be. I liked Goku using a telekinetic ability on Broly in DBS Broly precisely because it reminds people that things other than ki and hitting each other really hard exist.
Ability description: yeets a gallon jug of LSD at the target, bursting on impact and soaking the target. Target begins tripping balls and loses the will to fight.
Mr. Popo went toe to toe with two super saiyans, and while technically forced onto the defensive right off the bat, he was basically able to block every single attack they threw at him. Abridged Popo's personality might not be canon, but his power sure is.
By 2 saiyans you talking about boo saga with trunks and gotens? Once knocked out by majin vegita, taken to kami lookout and when they woke up they wanna body mr popo, but he is able to stall them from leaving. Thats an impressive feat.
He also calmly threatened SSB Vegeta was a banishment for life if he breaks the time chamber again. With a closeup of his face that’s almost matched up frame for frame with Zeno in the same episode.
What I love about Popo is that he is incredibly kind but also will not hesitate to humble you on your misconducts. If he see's any real potential in you, he may just also correct your mistakes and teach you the proper way.
I thought Mr Popo's 'power level' was based on Earth's population. As a kid watching at least that made the most sense to me. He was a magic attendant to the guardian, so he was linked to Earth and is basically the bodyguard of god. So if that's the case, Mr Popo has subtly absorbed powers from goku, piccolo, saiyans, kais, gods of destruction. Mr Popo will be the final boss after the angels and omniking
In canon, Popo declares "my power is nothing compared to Kami". This might seem to draw a line on his power level, although not necessarily. It can indeed read as "the current power I allow myself to tap in without breaking the divine rules of not interfering is inferior to Kami". Basically Popo set his power level to a minimum, enough to do his duty but also low enough not to risk breaking the galaxy apart by mistake. Which is also the reason he chugs gallons, to keep himself nerfed. Everyone: "Z-ZENO-SAMA!" Popo: "Hey maggot."
Well, "power" is also subjective. It doesn't always mean PHYSICAL power. In terms of physical strength it's incredibly obvious that Popo FAR exceeds anything Kami has ever done - he's also obviously much faster. I think what Popo means by Kami's power is more like divine power of overseeing the world and also his connection to the immense power of the dragonballs and what THEY can do. Kami and the dragonballs are one - they are a part of his power - so in that sense, kami while not PHYSICALLY powerful DOES have an unbelievable amount of power in that his being allows the dragonballs to exist and therefore allows such amazing things as immortality, wishing back entire planets full of people and other thing that are far beyond what anyone can accomplish with mere punches, kicks and energy blasts. I think a lot of people forget about this - that the dragonballs ARE an extension of the namekian who creates them - and therefore are part of what can be considered his "power". Consider that if Kami were so inclined he could have YEARS ago gathered the dragonballs and made some wish to be immortal, or to be the strongest in the universe or whatever else it may be - he could even transport the entire planet to the far end of the universe if he wanted - and all using something HE CREATED. So yeah, while Popo is far beyond Kami in physical terms, Kami (and any Namekian who has the ability to create a set) IS among the most "powerful" beings in the universe not through physical power but what his dragonballs can accomplish. He ALSO has heavenly authority and can even talk to gods like King Kai directly or travel to the otherworld at will, and in doing so can have an enormous influence on events. Kami even had the ability to split himself into two beings at will - and later re-fuse with that being and become extremely powerful as a result - so that's also another form of power. Take a U.S. president - Joe Biden, for instance. PHYSICALLY, he's not powerful at all. I'd end him easily in a fight - he's a frail old man and I'm bigger than him. But he still wields a lot of power - just not PHYSICAL power. Babidi has a lot of power - but is physically very weak. People just tend to think of physical power only when they hear someone is "powerful" ;)
could be his view on "power" if the dragonballs are an extension of kamis abilitys, making wishes come true is what popo cant do no matter how high his powerlvl is.
probably he was being reprimanded and mocked for dying after being the attendant and "immortal". Just like kami was when he was annoying a higher deity.
That could actually be a possibility, frieza's race is also capable of apparently breathing into space and survive so it could be possible that other species might be capable of something like that.
@@lolwithpain4840 Freeza can't breath in space, there's no air to breathe. Either Freeza doesn't breathe at all or he can hold his breath indefinitely
@@mushroom11g55 I understand that there is nothing to breathe so he probably doesent need to breathe but i stated literally as the translation was, he literally said he can breathe into space.
Mr PoPo's power is enormous, however he has to always keep it in check or risk the same type of reaction Future Trunks had when he first saw Vegeta go Super Sayain Blue. The Earthlings need to rely on their own strength and the belief that they are the best chance to beat any threats to Earth.
@@whodamanme_ Dende being a "Guardian" of the Earth is more like a surveillance camera. He looks down upon the Earth & if he sees or feels a significant threat to the Earth, he can communicate this to Goku, Vegeta and the other Z Fighters, who will eliminate the threat.

@@Animebryan2 that's why the DBZA version of Mr Popo makes so much sense! He's giving them time to clean up this mess before he steps in. 😂😂 DBZA episode 30. 😁
Awesome. Popo has always been an enigma in the DB universe, but this is how I have always felt about his abilities. He is a divine being, but not a top level one like the Angels. Potentially formidable, but likely to stay out of mortal conflicts. The original Dragon Ball doesn't get enough appreciation. I love how it's based in martial arts more than power levels./
i am in the camp that thinks popo literally has limitless power. it is just that he is only allowed to use as much as the opponent currently challenging him. basically if you are at 100%, he adjusts his specs such that his 100% is now equal to yours. assuming he is using ultra instinct, what this inherently means is that fighting popo will always feel like fighting the perfected form of you.
@@AlX-Ander note the "perfected form of you" line. Goku at that time very much had the capability to do every single thing Popo was doing to him, but his skills were crude and unrefined, so Popo, without much effort on his own part, embarrassed him with the skills Goku was technically capable of but unable to use. Which is why afterwards he sought to teach Goku how to be better.
Mr. Popo saw the threats coming to earth more often, then decided to start using his own training tools again. Prior to Raditz, the biggest threat was Piccolo, who was, at most, a match for Kami. He doesn't need to do push-ups, sit-ups, or drink plenty of juice. He just needs to butter some toast...and explain how all the squares make a circle.
People never understand Popo. Z FIghers: "Popo we need your he-" Mr Popo: "-Buttering toast!" They think he's ignoring them, but in reality, he's growing a power far beyond their understanding, by drinking a gallon of LSD, and buttering toast, so that, even if all these maggots fail against whatever puny nuisance they were whining about, the PECKING ORDER will save their pathetic planet's day.
In my opinion it works this way: Mr. Popo is as strong as he needs to be in that specific occasion. He could very well become stronger than anyone ever if the situation called for but that situation or anything close to it will never happen because Popo can't interfere.
Man the quality of these videos is fucking phenomenal considering how new your channel is, you've quickly become one of my favorite DBZ channels and I'll definitely keep checking in regularly for new videos. You earned yourself another subscriber, really wish you all the luck and success in growing what you have here, you deserve it.
My personal theory is that Genies, given their magical properties in myth, has a reactive power. Similar to Moro with his absorption magic and Babidi with his power enhancement; I think Popo is just increasing his "baseline" power level in reaction to an opponent. Like with all the people he's trained and fought against, he has never been on the offensive cause he's never needed to, therefore having a "lower" power level comparatively. Which also explains how he dies when the Earth explodes and when Buu kills him using the Extinction Ray, since in both occasions he was caught nearly completely off-guard and didn't have time to react. TL;DR: He doesn't have a power level, since it's constantly changing
I have the same feeling as well, I like the "idea" of a power lv...but I really dont think it applies to him. As you said, it depend on the situation, him dying when the earth blows up from somewhere thousand of miles away...yeah thats understandable. Otherwise hed just teleport with the guardian of earth likely to Namek.
I like this idea. It's like he never got the opportunity to use his ultimate because it probably takes like a ritual like how Goku became Super Saiyen God
He doesn't die he just warps back to otherworld cause where else is he gonna go to relax Then when goku wishes on dragon balls for him to be revived shenron like yo bro time to go home
Well done! It's a gone opinion, especially since DBS is defenerate apocryphal n face of real Dragonball as per thd 42 manga volumes written between 1985 and 1995. There is no more story after Goku glew off to train Uub.
Ultra Instinct is kind of a weird thing in DBZ. It's definitely generally something martial artists only reach when they've fully mastered their skills, but it's odd that it's above destroying planets and galaxies. Essentially, Goku was learning the general concept UI is based off of at the end of Dragonball, took a break from it to learn how to strengthen his body to be on par with saiyans, went super overboard with that, unlocked and mastered super saiyan, and then remembered he never actually finished mastering basic martial arts, lol.
UI is based on zen's "joriki" or maybe "mojudo no taigen." Can also be just "enlightenment" or achieving "wuwei." The reason you find UI weird is because you don't study the spiritual aspects of the prior terms I listed. That's why you can only comprehend that having UI should not physically make one stronger. In the real world, joriki (or the other terms mentioned), is connecting with the universe, the divine, etc. The most common application is on cognitive efficiency: doing without thinking, knowing what to do without analyzing, etc. This is also what "modern science" only believers can comprehend. If you include the energetic explanation for this state, you'll find out that being connected to the universe means also being able to use its energy w/o limits. That's why certain peoples associate enlightenment with "siddhis" or super powers. Hence, if enlightenment is the peak for human potential in the real world, then UI, should also grant unparalleled strength.
@@caoinismyname it's a weird thing in DBZ specifically I suppose it makes sense the characters inspired by Wukong would have tremendous strength they don't fully understand, but it's odd that a character like Piccolo hasn't also reached this level of enlightenment. he's literally god and the devil in one being, after all.
@@nyankers This might help, although, I'm not so sure myself as well. Enlightenment is achieved by humans, not gods nor devils. A prerequisite is also doing the yamas and niyamas (in yoga) and the eightfold path (in Buddhism). It means to be pure first in body and character so you can lead the mind to one-pointedness. Being both a god and a devil means he's not pure in character. He's a mix. One goal of enlightenment is also seeing one's true self: not as a god, as a devil, as a human, but as oneself. In the end, it's not one's origins that makes one enlightened but one's effort to achieve it. Also, others say we are already enlightened and that what we have to struggle for is to be aware of it.
Also, Wukong isn't an enlightened being. He is just an innocent demon who is very strong, even the heavens fear him. We can say he's the strongest, if not among the strongest. Still, he was easily restrained by Buddha, an enlightened being. This again is another example why UI in Dragonball makes one stronger than mere galaxy busting.
I'd say it's because power was far easier to increase than the efficiency of your techniques. Over the course of less than 6 days on namek, everyone got at LEAST hundreds of times stronger and faster. Getting that level of mastery must take FAR longer since well... you can't brute force it like you can with power
You are exactly right! Don't let anyone tell you differently! I said this years ago before DB Super and ultra instinct became a thing. I said "Mr. Popo is strong as hell, but he can only defend unless he is training!" Of course he is the first divine attendant we meet, so he set the stage for the rest of them we saw later in the series. You have to do a video on Kibito and why he didn't have these great defensive abilities.
I agree he’s got an elementary utilization of UI, in the manga they do explain that there’s various tiers to it, but I feel like where ur argument falls short is that a lot of ur claims live on the idea that “limits don’t exist bc they haven’t presented any”. For example, Popos ‘absorption’. We’ve seen him nullify attacks from opponents weaker than himself sure, but what is it like when he confronts an attack from someone significantly stronger, like as u mentioned, SP Cell? Is a solar system lvl kamehameha just too much for his body to handle? How can it be concluded that his nullification works on a ranged attack of that caliber? We simply don’t know how many leagues can be crossed before he gives out bc we aren’t given any scenarios that show his limits. However that doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t there But regardless awesome vid bro it was rly well done per usual, I love ur analyses 😂
I agree for sure! Its totally possible that say, in the Nappa example, he would just get blown away bcus of the power difference. Hard to say 1 way or the other I think so I chose to go with the one that was more fun and interesting. Though its dif bcus hes an android, 19 was able to absorb from Goku who was way stronger so I used that in my reasoning too but I didnt put it in the video bcus its shakey reasoning at best xD
@@PlanetLevelDB Absorption is tricky in dragon ball. Yakon exploded after swallowing Goku's energy (pause) yet babidis energy container didn't explode when stealing Gohan's energy. So based on the series Popo might explode but could also reasonably be just fine. (Although I took the smoke over Popos head to mean he was somewhat near his absorption limit so it's probably not as op as other absorption techniques)
Thats a great way to look at it. I could also see the smoke being a way that he can expel the excess so he DOESNT explode. Lots of these old things from original DB and early Z are totally up to interpretation since we never get set rules about them, thats why theyre so fun to talk about.
I do also find it odd, where did they ever say Goten and Trunks are as strong as Gohan. Gohan was only ever surprised by how strong goten was, and in training was never hit by him
I must say. Your videos are absolutely incredible and you are very underrated, at least for now. The editing in your videos is some of the best quality, your analysis are always in depth and make excellent points for everything. “Popo isn’t at the top of the pecking order” Popo: *inhales sharply and closes eyes* *gets kicked off the lookout* Popo: enjoy the climb back up, b***h!
How awesome would it be if popo was secretly one of the most powerful in the universes, knowing mastered ultra instinct and beyond and had transformations but couldn't interfere with world events for some reason.
Imagine if the reason why Freeza choose to made his new form Black is because when he found the HTC he also found someone who's came from the same race as Mr. Popo, and he's the one who trained him for 10 years inside the chamber.
I'm hoping cooler becomes Canon and his training was him being beaten to death all that time and mirror the last time he trained Like sure freeza is strong but cooler was allredy that strong all this time and still stronger
Funny thing is, even after Popo teaches Goku about meditation, when Vegeta does it in the “Super Hero” movie, he basically tells Vegeta that it isn’t training.

Yes this. I never liked anything Dragonball related until TFS. To this day I judge any dragon ball concept by how close it is to TFS. That's why I like super so much.
I feel like I'm gonna get a lot of disagreements on this one 😅 Edit: Might need to clarify since people seem to not understand, I dont think 2 ssj equal a ssj2, thats silly, its just to help put the argument into perspective :) Edit 2: If you want more info on why Goten & Trunks are equal to Perfect Cell, check out my video about them! All the proofs are there
Probably because jokes aside, this is a reach of the highest order. If TFS didn't make Popo the way he was and set that whole meme into action, I'm 99% sure this video wouldn't exist.
This is one of the biggest problems with Super. Treating Goku like he hadn't already mastered something he'd already mastered by Z is character assassination.
Thinking about it... I would love some of this to become cannon. Making Mr. Popo basically an Angel like Whis, just from a different Divine source (I.E. Not the grand priests child). I like it when the story connects back to previous lore, and the deeper the cut the better it feels as a fan. But lets face it... Mr. Popo would get the Launch treatment by Toriyama...
Nah you're probably right actually, just like how there are other divine being in dbz. The kais, angels, zeno, king yama, etc. Hes likely just another divine being, might even be a unique divine being for universe 7. With other universes having there own unique divine being.
Tanking hits is peak show of Ki, getting hit and having no pain reaction is Toriyama's way of showing high discrepancy in power levels between the receiver and giver of said attack. Mr. Popo's perma "pseudo UI" is probably boosting his base level by a lot. Like how UI Goku is not in a "Saiyan transformation" but a state, yet he is able to smack Jiren.
@@teeboz6237 You’re trying to be snarky but it literally makes no sense that a God who is millions of years old and presumably trained for even a fraction of that time, wouldn’t have a substantial power level. The humans trained for maybe 7 years total in Z and their power levels skyrocketed by the hundreds of thousands. If a Guardian or Deity is still that weak after all that time, their capacity for growth is garbage. Idk if you’re trying to start an argument or what but that’s common sense. Also, it’s been stated by Whis on numerous occasions that Goku and Vegeta are still leagues below Beerus.
@Miguel Medina We’ve seen Humans train for less than a Decade and achieve Power levels of over 500,000. Time is definitely an important element when it comes to training. If I live for a million years and train for even 1/4 of that time and you train for 30 years and can still outclass me in strength, my potential would have to be sewage water.
Subbed for the Popo scaling. 🤣 This was a fairly thorough breakdown, I enjoyed. It'd be hilarious to see Mr. Popo stalemate cell. We need a secret Popo training arc that reveals he has similar potential to Frieza 🤣
In the manga first thing Mr Popo teaches Goku that "emptying his mind" allows him to move "faster than thunder" (which is the speed of sound, not light) and mr Popo also says he has superior reflexes because he can sense vibrations in the air, which means he doesn't need to rely on eyesight to fight. With this he can even beat ki suppression techniques (used for sneak and deflection attacks on skilled opponents like Tien and Piccolo who can also sense ki). It's kind of debatable whether this is a primitive form of UI - the lesson here is to use all his senses and react without thinking and that lowering your ki can also be useful in combat; while UI is a more esoteric form that also teaches to act without thinking, but is kind of the opposite when it comes to using the senses; claiming that it doesn't rely on any external stimuli at all. Ultimately, the whole point of Popo's "empty mind" technique is about making the body lighter so it can move faster - which is also first step in teaching the "airdance" (flying). Ultimately it's more about Popo is trying to teach Goku that there's a lot more to ki control than firing balls of energy.
I agree except the speed of sound part. Thunder is much faster than the speed of sound. Thats why when you see the flash of a thunder or lightning you hear it seconds later
Vibrations in the air could be seeing atoms move. If that's the case he could move like neutrinos or 99.998% the speed of light. Since light interaction with atoms happen at that speed?
Neutrinos are neutral particles that have almost no mass, they're created when particles come together or split up. Usually this is achieved via radiation, stars, or nuclear reactors... The movement of sound through the air is a wave and waves move at different speeds through different mediums depending on what caused it. Sound travels at roughly 700 mph through our atmosphere. Thunder is not caused by neutrinos, it is caused by the lightning literally ripping apart the atmosphere it passes through and leaving a void which is then filled in by the atmosphere rushing in to fill that void. The resulting crash causes a sonic boom or what is known as thunder...
The flash is the light off the lighhnntening with is speed of light, lightening is the bolt itself which is 1/3 the speed of light, the thunder is the crack which is the sound of lightning. Come on guys @@justaweirdtree9645

DB has an interesting way of saying "interfere" Whis turns back time and helps the mortals a lot but they still dont consider it "interfering" Training the humans and helping Bulma isnt what Interfering would be. Is there anything Im missing? How else has he interfered directly?
@@PlanetLevelDB changing the course of history (turning back time) is interfering. Beerus was ready to wipe Trunks out of existence for helping HIS timeline. Whis helping train the mortals has literally stopped them from getting erased as Zeno planned due to winning the ToP. It stopped Freeza from destroying earth, firstly from beating them with sheer power and then by negating it using time travel. It stopped Zamasu by him helping to find out who he even was. It helped beat Moro when he stepped in to talk to Goku and literally interferes with their fight. Whis has altered the entire course of their timeline multiple times. What more do you want him to do in order for him to be classed as someone who “interferes”? Whis interfered in every arc and yeah, you’re right, DB has a weird way of saying it. Whis and the angels can interfere unless the plot needs them not to like Merus. So that’s what you’re missing. Toriyama retcons things all the time and it’s silly to take the words of characters over their literal actions on panel.
meh, the plot has consistently shown they cannot directly interefere by means of "i stop the villain using my power bec i am far above practically everything." vs "yea, i can totally help you figure out whats going on and support you in your fights to defend yourself and fix the current problem of your own power." the turn back time think would count as support even for a GoD which is why he csn do it for the mortals. if for instance beerus was too mad and rampage and destroyed a planet he didnt mean to whis could turn back time back its the same principle. however, whis wouldnt per se, happen upon buu a million years ago an think "wow this thing is doing lord beerus' job i cant allow that and beat buu. db is kinda consistent in priniple. this is was merus doesnt count as interference even tho he spends an inordiante amount of time in the gp. he isnt using his power to accomplish what he is doing he is living by rules of the mortals. once he expresses his own power he begins to fade bec he has crossed the line into "alright, now we do it my way." territory instead of just "yea i can help you and as a higher order being incan do that in anyway i see fit." its akin to wat ccounts as God in Christianity working in mysterious ways or by what people see as coincidence as opposed to just showing up in person and stoping a car accident or saving ppl trapped in fire. "ill help, but i wont be direct about it." direct = using my power to solve your problem. indirect = ill use my power to help you solve your problem yourself.
@@AtenSol12 while you said a lot you contradicted yourself. Reversing time is clearly a power mortals don’t have, therefore making it an angel power. Especially since GoD’s don’t have it and no other gods in DB do. Using such a power directly changes history hence why it’s illegal to the galactic patrol. By these standards there would be no time rings if it’s not interfering. Goku would have died of the heart virus and the world taken over by the androids. However, Trunks interfered. He went back in time to change events. Whis did the same. If that’s not interference then the earth would have blown up, everyone except Whis and Beerus would have died in the vacuum of space and U7 wouldn’t have won the ToP. How is literally changing the course of an entire universe and eventually multiverse not interfering? I don’t get you guys. Whis literally directly solved their problem by not only bringing earth back but by reviving every human and alien on the planet. You’re literally saying a wish from Shenron, which has done the exact same thing isn’t interfering. Tell that to mass of beings who have stated the DB’s shouldn’t be used in that way as it’s against the natural order. Toriyama is clearly inconsistent with his rules.
I think Popo never got stronger, he is just capable of precise enough control in every thought and movement to match what he thinks his trainee needs to reach to without going too far.
The fact that Mr Popo could keep up with Goten and Trunks in their Super Saiyen form is the reason TFS made him seem like this almighty crazy strong being in Dragon Ball Z Abridged. Also, if I remember correctly, Mr Popo also dies in the Buu Saga when Kid Buu destroys the Earth.
My headcanon for Popo is that he's the retired former guardian. Sure, he probably could help protect the planet, but that's not his job anymore, is it?

Characters like Popo are probably the closest we get to the symbolism outlined in journey to the west Their form is one of mastery and by extension harmony, essentially creatures with so much immersion with the natural world that they could be perceived as gods Mortals however are born to be inhabitants of the natural world, making their way in this life as opposed to observing it. It comes as a delight when non mortals encounter mortals because it's sort of a triumph for entropy. They have an attitude of "look how far you've come" since mortality is rife with uncertainty and instability. We might get hung up on status, hedonism, and control that our inherited authority over the world goes undocumented You might even call it antisocial. While I'm not going to sit here and say that people should have anything to do with djinn, it would be in our best interests to be mindful of our appearance. For every Popo figure, there are Bojacks and Zamasus eager to show us out
You assume popo died when freiza blew up the planet, but you forget he's able to teleport anywhere instantly. He merely left. We don't know where because whis reversed time shortly after.
Mr. Popo is a true alpha. So confident in himself that he never needs to show his true strength. He, himself knows what he’s capable of and that is enough. May we all learn from Popo
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say something that may be very well controversial. Mr. Popo is the most unique divine being throughout the entire DB series. So much so that I have a theory that he is quite possibly God of destruction power level. How so? For this simple answer a lot, he has never powered up. On top of that he has never went full power against any opponent he fought, and he has strange abilities. These character traits mirror the Angels. Every divine being, no matter what species or race, Have the rare ability to power up. This means the current level of power that they display is a base form of their Maximum power level. Even though he himself does not have the ability to transform, so it appears. The ability to power up is just as effective if not more so superior to a transformation alone. Mr. Popo In the Cell Arc compared Goten & Trunks to Kid Goku. This was all done in the context that his power level alone never increase nor decreased. This is why he is able to make the comparison between the youngest generation of Saiyan’ vs Goku. . Meaning his is level of power has not increased or decreased it is the same. This is the context of what is comparison is based on. And the various Guidebooks that plays Mr. Popo on a low end level of power, is pure randomness on absolutely nothing to go on. Think about it, a divine being who is so powerful makes everyone else look weak in comparison. What if for whatever reason Mr. Popo is restricted from fighting where is not allowed to do so kind of like the angels. He can but because he’s so strong he’s not allowed to go out. But that’s not a problem because he’s never faced anyone near or at his level of power. He is in a constant state of suppression like the angels. Popo is a divine being with immense power, a mystic of sorts. More than anything else usually the most powerful beings are more often than not the most they are unwilling to display or exert anywhere near their full level of power simply because they are too strong. Also whatever reason they are not allowed to disclose to measure or merit or limit of their power level. He said that Kami Sama was stronger. We learn in DB this is not true. This is expanded upon in DBZ specifically the cell arc. This would also mean Mr. Popo has had the power level to destroy every single threat on and outside the planet. But because of certain Universal Cosmic Rules we are unaware of. Popo is forbidden to interfere. Before whatever reason, maybe one of the rules is he’s not supposed to allow any mortal or even other divine beings know how powerful he is. Think about it no one has ever been able to detect Mr. Popo‘s power level because only divine beings are able to mask their chi/ ki enerngy from all Mortals. This is especially true for gods of destruction & Angels. Even tho the Kaioshin are Divine Beings. Their power levels can be felt by mortal beings. Identical to The God Of Destruction, Lord Beerus and his Attendant The Angel known as Whis. I have a few more theories about Mr. Popo. He is definitely one of the most interesting characters in DBZ. Can you imagine Mr. Popo fighting against an opponent, but he is powered up. And I have no doubt he has the ability to use ultra instinct to the highest level. I’ll leave it at this, personally my humble opinion. Mr. Popo has never die. We have never seen him die we have never seen him at any interference with the afterlife.
I am astounded to realize I saw that Gotenks training scene but never recognized that Popo could’ve killed every villain prior, on his own… Wow, I overlooked that Completely. Thanks!
Alright maggots, listen up. Popo's going to teach you the pecking order. It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, popo's stool, kami, then Popo. Any questions?
We can't assume that Popo's energy absorption is able to scale up to the point he could eat Cell's blasts. Many times in Dragon Ball energy absorbers end up owning themselves by trying to eat above their capacity. Yakon in canon and I think at least a couple times in movies. It's probably safe to assume he could chow down on Saiyan Saga level attacks but can't be confirmed. Once you start going above that level all we can say is maybe. Considering that he couldn't prevent himself from getting hit by Buu's transformation beam and that Buu eating him didn't cause a major transformation or power-up within Buu he's definitely somewhere under that level. And as the video states it's a fair bet that he can't munch on god ki, though that can't really be confirmed either. Popo just hopping in front of a Frieza Black Super Nova aimed at Earth and eating it would be killer though. Hope he's been training!
If muten 180 in Power can fought versus enemies like jiren troupe with teqnique and ability ...popo Is Op ...hes Speed Is much more nappa and vegeta in Sayan saga . I think Is for sure strongh like king Kai ...considerer genkidama ability ...so popo Is op
You're just _now_ realizing this guy's power? He literally _ate_ a Kamehameha wave in DB and has gone toe-to-toe with several of the Z-fighters in sparring matches. Dude is either a sleeping giant of an ally, or he's secretly the big bad of the DB franchise, one so scary even Zeno would tremble before him.
This video reinforces the idea initially put forth I believe by Team Four Star in Dragon Ball Z Abridged where Mr. Popo is one of the most badass people and that is showcased throughout the entire run of DBZA to the point that when he calls the Dragon during the Frieza saga, he seems adamant on helping Mr. Popo take over the universe.
thats why i think i always liked UI more than the god transformations. it has been something goku has been working toward from the begining, it felt more on theme for the overall dragon ball than just another transformation to boost power.
I feel It's something Goku was supose to have completly learn already but he forgot in super for the same reason he forgot all his character development, knowledge and inteligence
I always had the personal theory that charging Ki blasts doesnt raise your power level in a direct way. It goes up because you are generating another source of energy outside your body which is connected to you. Everyone has a soft Ki peak and a stamina level. Powering up is burning stamina to peak your capacity, and you can go even further but it will leak out. The auras are basically that, its power that cant be contained in the body efficiently. So even though a scouter or entity reading your power level will experience it going up, its not actually increasing your peak, more that you are using stamina to generate power and focusing it into another space which creates two Ki sources
I remember looking into him years ago and found out Toriama saying he isn't really strong and his power is always 500. Also he and Chaotzu are Djinn, not sure if they're the same type, or race, but they are the same creature.
Mr Popo has long been a favorite of mine. If his character was created nowadays I'm sure there would be some major backlash about his appearance. I'm glad he was created in a more wholesome, accepting and inclusive period of time without all the racial bias we see today in the current post modern world.
Remember kids, just because you don't see or hear about something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.......... Or, to put it a different way, if people felt like calling out racist things would put them in danger and so chose not to say anything it doesn't make those things less racist. Same thing with sexism...... Just because it might make you uncomfortable to find out certain things offend people, it's still good to listen once people feel comfortable and secure enough to tell you it was making them feel some kinda way in the first place.
I like T4S Popo so much. DBS could lean a little bit towards developing Popo into a relevant character again. With him going to train with Wizz to better fufil his jobs in case the sayians ever lose or go bad. So when it comes time for Pan and others to train, Popo will be at the level of anything they could face, as a mentor again.
Mr. Popo has an ability that some master Kung Fu fighters strive for. It's rising to the occasion with the strength necessary to win every time I believe he can adjust to every scenario and has no cap. Whis is on his toes because his base line is a lot less relaxed with the hot head Beerus
Wait ‘till Popo decides to teach everyone the pecking order.

FIRST RULE OF POPO'S TRAINING!
The proper way being PECKING ORDER !!
@@Not-an-Alien DO NOT TALK ABOUT POPO'S TRAINING!
Mr Popo will be the final boss after the angels and omniking
bros got a power level tax that makes him absorb 10% power level from all living things
@@EarthButNotFlatno wonder he's built like fanum, he been taxin since day 1!
Everyone: "Z-ZENO-SAMA!"
Popo: "Hey maggot."
Ok. Only one hand.
could be his view on "power" if the dragonballs are an extension of kamis abilitys, making wishes come true is what popo cant do no matter how high his powerlvl is.

Awesome. Popo has always been an enigma in the DB universe, but this is how I have always felt about his abilities.
He is a divine being, but not a top level one like the Angels. Potentially formidable, but likely to stay out of mortal conflicts.
The original Dragon Ball doesn't get enough appreciation. I love how it's based in martial arts more than power levels./
i am in the camp that thinks popo literally has limitless power. it is just that he is only allowed to use as much as the opponent currently challenging him. basically if you are at 100%, he adjusts his specs such that his 100% is now equal to yours. assuming he is using ultra instinct, what this inherently means is that fighting popo will always feel like fighting the perfected form of you.
popo v. xeno!
That wouldn't work with how he was bodying Goku as a kid though.
He also has one of the coldest lines no one ever talks about “Mr. Popo does not lie” 😮
Mr. Popo is that one super OP character that everyone forgets exists. Like the kinda dude that even the physics of their universe don't apply to him.
who that is?

They think he's ignoring them, but in reality,
he's growing a power far beyond their understanding, by drinking a gallon of LSD, and buttering toast,
so that,
even if all these maggots fail against whatever puny nuisance they were whining about,
the PECKING ORDER will save their pathetic planet's day.
😂😂😂
In my opinion it works this way:
Mr.
He doesn't die he just warps back to otherworld cause where else is he gonna go to relax
Then when goku wishes on dragon balls for him to be revived shenron like yo bro time to go home
That's make sense, a lost oportunity to mention Popo in the Moro saga..
UI is based on zen's "joriki" or maybe "mojudo no taigen." Can also be just "enlightenment" or achieving "wuwei."
The reason you find UI weird is because you don't study the spiritual aspects of the prior terms I listed.
@@caoinismyname it's a weird thing in DBZ specifically
I suppose it makes sense the characters inspired by Wukong would have tremendous strength they don't fully understand, but it's odd that a character like Piccolo hasn't also reached this level of enlightenment. he's literally god and the devil in one being, after all.
@@nyankers
This might help, although, I'm not so sure myself as well.
Getting that level of mastery must take FAR longer since well... you can't brute force it like you can with power
imagine popo ever follows them to a visit to zeno for some reason and all the angels bow in respect for him 💀
AKA the pecking order
You are exactly right! Don't let anyone tell you differently! I said this years ago before DB Super and ultra instinct became a thing. I said "Mr. Popo is strong as hell, but he can only defend unless he is training!"
Of course he is the first divine attendant we meet, so he set the stage for the rest of them we saw later in the series. You have to do a video on Kibito and why he didn't have these great defensive abilities.
“Oh I get it, your name controls the ship!”
“No….it just knows better…PO PO!”
space is dark and popo is dark so we don't know if popo actually died, he could just be camoflague
However that doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t there
But regardless awesome vid bro it was rly well done per usual, I love ur analyses 😂

I like it when the story connects back to previous lore, and the deeper the cut the better it feels as a fan.
But lets face it... Mr. Popo would get the Launch treatment by Toriyama...
He is dad of grand priest (trust me bro)
Nah you're probably right actually, just like how there are other divine being in dbz. The kais, angels, zeno, king yama, etc. Hes likely just another divine being, might even be a unique divine being for universe 7. With other universes having there own unique divine being.
@@DigitalPand3mic *No. There is only Mister Popo. In all universes.*
@@DanielMWJ My apologies, I will NOT forget the pecking order.
Popo is a djinn, like Chaotzu.
Also I don't think power levels are really that applicable with divines, like power levels are a very mortal way of judging strength
True ui isnt a transformation its a technique and whis has shown this off to goku
I mean, if he is Millions of years old, he would have to be a beast. If not, he would have to have the worst potential out of anyone in the series.
The GoD’s are millions of years old and Goku surpassed Jiren who had already surpassed Belmod. Goku is in his 40’s. Try again.
@@teeboz6237 We know Belmod is a really young GoD as he was a Pride Fighter BEFORE Ascending.
I liked this video. Never heard of you before, but there's a thumbnail about Ultra Ego on the side from you. I think I might go watch that one too.
That last statement you made . We really need a good arc full of characters like him
Subbed for the Popo scaling. 🤣
This was a fairly thorough breakdown, I enjoyed. It'd be hilarious to see Mr. Popo stalemate cell. We need a secret Popo training arc that reveals he has similar potential to Frieza 🤣
Mr. Popo doesn't need training.
Frieza thought the same thing. Even Popo loses to Tori-Bot.
I remember he did well, to stop kid ssj Goten and Trunks simultaneously from escaping. Mr. Popo is certainly way more power full as we all expect
@@TheGothGaming Thunder is the noise, not the flash. The flash is the lightning, which is followed by the sound of thunder.
I would absolutely lose my shit in a positive way if at some point in super we find out that yeah, Mr. Popo has UI, he's a celestial attendant after all
Popo gets his powers from everyone on earth so his power level changes based on that. He’s the physical form of a spirit bomb. That’s why he died when the earth was destroyed. That’s why he can beat anyone he fights because he never leaves earth. Freeza attacked earth from space.
You a whole mfn lie, so you telling me they PULLED UP, they landed on earth, that ho Frieza and his equally ho king cold THAT NIGGA BROUGHT HIS DADDY NIGGA, you telling me they clearly landed on earth, yet you claiming the attack was from space, shid you know how it go...if they don't have the true story they gon make one..aye keep trying to save that bitch Frieza you gon learn.
Love your videos! Watched them all!
I would love to see a video discussing Master Roshi. Particularly explaining his power up in Super.
It makes sense especially with the lore. Because of his status and position he CANT interfere with the defense of Earth. Kinda like Weis
He’s literally interfered the entire time he’s been introduced. This hypothesis has been proven false.
DB has an interesting way of saying "interfere"
Whis turns back time and helps the mortals a lot but they still dont consider it "interfering"
Training the humans and helping Bulma isnt what Interfering would be.
Toriyama retcons things all the time and it’s silly to take the words of characters over their literal actions on panel.
meh, the plot has consistently shown they cannot directly interefere by means of "i stop the villain using my power bec i am far above practically everything."
vs
"yea, i can totally help you figure out whats going on and support you in your fights to defend yourself and fix the current problem of your own power."
the turn back time think would count as support even for a GoD which is why he csn do it for the mortals. if for instance beerus was too mad and rampage and destroyed a planet he didnt mean to whis could turn back time back its the same principle.
however, whis wouldnt per se, happen upon buu a million years ago an think "wow this thing is doing lord beerus' job i cant allow that and beat buu.
db is kinda consistent in priniple.
this is was merus doesnt count as interference even tho he spends an inordiante amount of time in the gp. he isnt using his power to accomplish what he is doing he is living by rules of the mortals. once he expresses his own power he begins to fade bec he has crossed the line into "alright, now we do it my way." territory instead of just "yea i can help you and as a higher order being incan do that in anyway i see fit."
its akin to wat ccounts as God in Christianity working in mysterious ways or by what people see as coincidence as opposed to just showing up in person and stoping a car accident or saving ppl trapped in fire. "ill help, but i wont be direct about it."
direct = using my power to solve your problem.
indirect = ill use my power to help you solve your problem yourself.
TFS Mr popo is cannon
Lol
PoPo: It gets 4000 miles to the soul
Bulma: Huh!?
PoPo: Gallon
I think Popo never got stronger, he is just capable of precise enough control in every thought and movement to match what he thinks his trainee needs to reach to without going too far.
Mr. Popo: Leader of the pecking order.
The fact that Mr Popo could keep up with Goten and Trunks in their Super Saiyen form is the reason TFS made him seem like this almighty crazy strong being in Dragon Ball Z Abridged.
Also, if I remember correctly, Mr Popo also dies in the Buu Saga when Kid Buu destroys the Earth.
no no he just teleported into his divine world cuz its popo
By "died" you mean it broke the surface layer of his skin, annoying him enough to leave.
My headcanon for Popo is that he's the retired former guardian. Sure, he probably could help protect the planet, but that's not his job anymore, is it?

What you say makes really good sense, and if this theory is solid, then the TFS personality of Mr. PoPo with that much power makes even more sense :D The Almighty PoPo! They knew it from the start!
So basically the two super Saiyans being as strong as an individual ssj 2 is equivalent to saying that vegeta in the Saiyan saga while on his base form would lose to 16 saibaimen or to 21 saibaimen if he used his strongest technique, which is nuts of you ask me.
No I agree for sure, I tried to say in the video it doesnt quite work like that but I should have clarified it further, the power is definitely not additive when youre adding more fighters. Wanted to use it as a comparison to segue into discussing Popo vs SPC but I could have written it way better!

Characters like Popo are probably the closest we get to the symbolism outlined in journey to the west
Their form is one of mastery and by extension harmony, essentially creatures with so much immersion with the natural world that they could be perceived as gods
Mortals however are born to be inhabitants of the natural world, making their way in this life as opposed to observing it. It comes as a delight when non mortals encounter mortals because it's sort of a triumph for entropy. They have an attitude of "look how far you've come" since mortality is rife with uncertainty and instability. We might get hung up on status, hedonism, and control that our inherited authority over the world goes undocumented
You might even call it antisocial. While I'm not going to sit here and say that people should have anything to do with djinn, it would be in our best interests to be mindful of our appearance. For every Popo figure, there are Bojacks and Zamasus eager to show us out
The only reason popo didn't stop cell, buu or freeza was he was busy making toast
You assume popo died when freiza blew up the planet, but you forget he's able to teleport anywhere instantly.
He merely left. We don't know where because whis reversed time shortly after.
Mr.Popo has the nword pass so he's the strongest in universe 7 for this reason

Yeah, yeah, ultra instinct cool.
Let's not forget Mr. Popo, once dropped a LITERAL GALLON of LSD!!!
Lol all fillers. He is a weak charachter for z standard, even radditz would obliterate him, he is not strong.
@Empty Glass it's fortunate lord popo is content with merely eating coke toast and drinking LSD on the lookout.
"oh look at that, a woman who doesn't know any better. What are the odds." -popo
This guy clearly forgot the pecking order
thats why i think i always liked UI more than the god transformations. it has been something goku has been working toward from the begining, it felt more on theme for the overall dragon ball than just another transformation to boost power.
Yeah, getting back to the root of Dragonball, Martial Arts.
I love when people see something new and attribute it to other things as if the creators didn't just crap it out in a weekend cram session.
I know. You see it in Harry Potter too. The fans work so hard to maintain continuity.

Got my sub! Fantastic video! Keep up the great work my friend!
I find it insane that UI has always been in the dbz universe and no one really realized it until now. Fantastic storytelling 100%
But its not really ultra instinct more like sensing the environment which he (Mr.Popo) displayed blindfolded
I feel It's something Goku was supose to have completly learn already but he forgot in super for the same reason he forgot all his character development, knowledge and inteligence
Considering the writers forget what they wrote in the last issue, it really is impressive.
It's a martial arts trope.

You make great vids. 100k subs is coming your way soon, I can tell.
