      @@opperwezen7797 It's a valid comment i don't think you're saying it to provoke don't worry. But with all due respect i haven't seen this Yolan guy playing these stakes for months now and recently posts videos of 200nl so perhaps just because someone sounds like they know what they are doing, maybe it's not always the case and sometimes people try to over-complicate things. I have been playing at these stakes profitably for these last 9 months now and whilst i'm far from becoming a crusher at these stakes yet, i am a solid winning player and i plan to make a video of my yearly cash results anyway so you can see for yourself. So to summarize, if you think my explanations are very basic then that's your opinion and you can watch whoever you like but in my opinion no i am not out of my depth:)

      No worries, thanks. I think also in particular atm im recording some of these cash vids whilst also playing in wsop tournaments with quite a few tables going so it can be pretty difficult to go into crazy in depth gto explanations etc.. so i kind of just say what i’m thinking really. But yeh I will probably do a recap vid of my yearly cash results but follow me on instagram @sprasesaces if you want as i’ll quite often post monthly results on my story or posts

      @@opperwezen7797i thought exactly the same. I play 200-500nl and have watched countless of youtube poker videos from almost all mentionable channels in all stakes. After watching 3-4minutues of this video I got the exact same feeling that you got. Had 2 double check if its 10k nl really. Then I read his (your, I guess you read this) bio here on YT, where he literally says "in only 1 year I went from micro/low stakes to high stakes after cashing 370k$ in a $5k." I mean its just proven in that line. If you played micro/low stakes 1 year ago its impossible you have evolved to beat 10knl unless you have such a raw talent and have lived in the pio + also been lucky enough to not have a downswing in that one year at any point, snd all of this while also streaming+ youtube? Sure man. You can have improved a few % here and there but the big factor in this short period is you got big roll in very short ammount of time, meaning you must have skipped alot of stakes to be here this fast without knowing if you win them. Especially when you say you have played 10k nl for 9months now..what stake did you play before that? You must have grinded years at 5k & 2k. And then just the process of climbing from 500 to 1k god knows how many times I have failed and the time it takes to rebuild. And even 10k nl 9 months reg table what is even that volume? Cant be super much... i already have 25 names on my mind I could link of 200-2k nl players that you just hear inmidiatly they have more depth in their thinking than you. Ive never in 8 years on youtube poker encountered someone explain in this basic way unless its 5nl fish. Its just and intuition and experience you get. You cant put words on it. You hear you are not sure about the decisions as he said. "I guess we" "i think maybe" "maybe this is a good card". Theres somt off. Already if this was 500nl I would feel that...10k nl? You kidding me? I mean there must be mega whale fishes yoou sit against then sure. I know its soft on GG and alot of rich whales sit there. But no way you are better than 500nl on stars (which doesnt run now) but If you can beat at least 200zoom on stars 100k hands, with this though process I guess i bow before you and my read is so wrong. I just dont think so though. But I mean hey, congrats to you , you have the roll now etc gl with that. Was just responding my opinion. Also that you talk fown Yolen because he has done some 200nl tutorial for youtubr content and you use it in this argument to show that he has jumped down to 200nl because of those 3 videos is just extremly low and absurd. Also calling him "that yolan guy" to belittle him, like you wouldnt know who he is or to distance yourself from him in the conversation shows even more. He is an excellent HS player and you can hear that 2 minute into a video with him. And no, I think you are explaining the best you can, this is just the way you think and your limit. You are showing the thought process after all snd I have never seen someone playing over 1k nl seem so unsure and yes with this basic thinking. You can tell you are not hiding anything more in what you say, this is it. This is the knowledge you have. As he said 0 gto ref, which you would have had to live in to come to these stakes the normal way grinding up with skills and improving. You just see imifatly you havt done thay and you lack that experience. And then your response where he critized your thinking and you said " i have alot of tables I dont know Im just saying what Im thinking"....eeh daah? What answer is that? We were questioning your thought process and you answer with blaming 2 many tables and that you are just saying what you thinking? That is what we are questioning, thats not answering anything. So also by seing how you responded in these comments I got more tells that you are in depth waters. Your prob playing extremly soft games and havent swong yet.

    23:21 you go with the 25pct turn bet sizing, are you gonna call off if he shoves? Shouldn't the BTN be shoving against this sizing a lot especially with his AThh hand? I like how he lets you realize and its obviously a good play from your point of view if he isnt jamming versus this size. Thank you for the nice video by the way.

      @@SprasesAces I checked your instagram, how does a guy in uni afford $5,000 buy in tourneys? I saw you cash a $372k score among a few others. I would prefer a much more detailed video about the exact stakes you started with. What bankroll, how many hands were you averaging per month? When was your first big score etc.

    • @SprasesAces
      @SprasesAces  Рік тому +6

      Hi, i deleted some of my real old videos because they were so bad but you should be able to see somewhere vids of me playing at micro and low stakes poker and whether you believe it or not i don't mind but this is how i started out. I got my first big ish score of 1.2k in around late 2020/early 2021 if i remember, when i was probably not at the level to be winning that much. This gave me a bit of a bankroll to enter tournaments and build up my balance. I finished university at the end of 2021 and started playing poker full time in 2022 and was picking up a number of decent scores ($10k/15k) mainly on party poker. Then the 2022 wsop main event i qualified by satellite and made day 2 on my first entry. So, i wasn't firing lots of $5k entries by this point as that would have been out of my bankroll i just got very lucky in the main event and this obviously just gave me my breakthrough to start playing at the high stakes.

    • @TheTiltedOne
      @TheTiltedOne Рік тому

      @@SprasesAces Incredible stuff man. I grind microstakes myself. I have no live access to poker where I live. I constantly wonder if it would make sense to switch over to playing 15-20 tourneys a day between 2-5$. Compared to grinding about 50k hands a month in cash. That's really awesome to hear you got a satellite into that tourney. I have found over my past 3 years of playing myself that the worst players are at the absolute bottom of the barrel in microstakes, and extremely high stakes. The true grinders in the mid stakes are very hard to extract value from long term. I hope I can bink off a 372k score myself this year. hahah Best of luck on the felt.

    • @SprasesAces
      @SprasesAces  Рік тому +1

      Yeh i mean of course i’d never be playing at these stake cash games if i just slowly built up a bankroll from micro stakes without playing any tournaments within this time frame. But then again if i hadn’t have sattied into the main event and made the FT on my first attempt then i also probably wouldn’t be playing at these stakes so sometimes you just have to rely on finding that breakthrough and some people may not be so lucky.. but i do personally believe that those with enough ability will end up finding that breakthrough at some point and will always end up making it to the top

  • @hansari8697
    @hansari8697 Рік тому +2

    with the 99 I think you could probably fold the flop tbh. He's betting into a dry side pot and I think your hand is pretty face up. Unless the 20bb stack was really OOL and his A high's would likely beat his range I don't see him betting 88 or worse.

    • @SprasesAces
      @SprasesAces  Рік тому +1

      Yeh i believe that the sb is a bit crazy (his shove was all good here though) but yeh i agree, i think maybe i could have even just got out of the way of this one pre flop but then with a loose player in the sb the CU is probaby going to want to call his 6's 7's and 8's there so 9's does seem like it should be a call. But yeh is a tough one on the flop because he's going to have more 4 bets with his AQ AK etc and more calls with 10's or j's then some traps with his stronger stuff so i think against that sizing a flop fold would have been perfectly reasonable

      Thanks for comment, and no I’d completely disagree here. At these high stakes cash games i think 90% of regs would just choose an all in sizing here instead of a smaller raise. Theory may say otherwise but sometimes theory can be irrelevant if the general population do something different and especially more recently you see a lot of regs doing these huge overbet raises when they have a nut blocker so in the modern game i think jam is best play for sure here. But then again maybe if i raise smaller i get A10 to call so who knows🤷‍♂️😃
