    I have been there exactly 20x for skiing, its very beautiful, Titlis is often pretty crowded. I can imagine how calm Titlis is now without any chinese tourists
    I've heard that they planned to replace the 80 pers. gondolas with larger 100 pers gondolas and even plan to refurbish the titlis station in the future and make the weather station/tower accessible for visitors as a view point.
    If you got more time, go visit Fürenalp in Engelberg, its much calmer/lesser known and its a very scenic place. Ideal to hike or to go climbing

    Since this pandemic and the following lockdowns have occurred, UA-cam has been my saviour. I love anything Mountains and snow and have been very lucky in finding your video's. I want to explore Switzerland and didn't really know where to look for guidance regarding the locations of different places. I know now!! The series of films has helped me plan and given me an insight of the places that I may well have missed. Trouble is, now I want to go every where!! Thank You Mr Callan.

    Yes totally agreed, we love Lucerne and Titlis too. Just been there in May22 & had a fantastic time so thanks for bringing back the good memory! (Although I disagree with you saying 2nd class is as good as 1st class as I have to say 1st class seats were much more spacious, the big & clean windows were amazing & therefore no need to lower the windows. The 1st class train ride had added a huge positive difference to our experience in Switzerland)

      Happy to hear you had a wonderful time in Lucerne and Titlis, amazing places. About the train windows, I am frequently shooting video and don't want any reflection in the window, so sliding them down in second class is better for me. Window reflections can ruin a beautiful video shot. Anyway, those Swiss trains are excellent, and first class is more comfortable.

    It’s very important to know what you’re talking about when you make a video. Maybe with people who have no idea about mountains it can work, but to say that the Finsteraarhorn is the Jungfrau...you just have to look at the topo-map that’s at the top to know which mountain is what!

There are two cables as I understand from your video. The first from Engelberg Talstation to Stand, then from Stand to the Summit and vice versa. So, how can I reach the scooter stop? You have some videos with maps illustrations and I do really thank you for them.

      good move to go on your own with the swiss pass. Go to the Lucerne train station ticket office, show your pass, get the rail and lift ticket there at a discount. Trains leave every hour, check the schedule there or online. When up on Titlis, keep the rail schedule in mind for your descent and return. If you are stuck waiting in Engelberg, take a walk, hit the bakery, sandwich, or treat.

    • @denniscallan
      @denniscallan  7 років тому +2

      I'm glad the Titlis video is helpful. I generally don't mention prices because there are many different possibilities, depending on what discount you might have from Swiss Pass or other options, and the prices do change from one year to the next, so it's best for you to do a web search and you will get current info on range of possibilities. It gets a bit complicated -- I've found that sometimes the clerks at the rail station are not even sure!
