I think it may have been the 3rd question about a band using a former band members music, lyrics and arrangements: Take a look at the Beck and Ambrosia story. It's very relevant to your issue.
I've got a 404020 split on my songs. The musicians contract with the producer ashes employees are to remain anonymous. The producers business office will issue a license. To my understanding this is not sufficient for sync licensing. Can you close they need signed paperwork from All rights owners. Is this sufficient to license a song If I sign and the produce's business officer signs for him and his employee?
Hey, thank you so much for all the infos and insight you're sharing with us! I have a question that maybe would interest many in your audience: how can I use my own music in ads? When I try to promote posts on Tiktok or Instagram with my music on, I'm walled by a message saying I don't have the licence to use the sound. How can I licence myself to use my music in my promo? 😁
I find these Q&As very helpful. My question is, should I use work for hires if I have a fill in guitar player for a show? and would I need one for each show he played if they are over a few months and not apart of a tour?

9:30 there is a line about that in Music Modernization Act 2018. I don't know if I read it right but it sounds like they can claim something.

For those who'd like to release cover songs to youtube and get a share of the revenue. You can use We Are The Hits.
