    Thank you so much for this tutorial! We’ll try time laps to record my art process! Your time laps at the lake was so beautiful, showing the movement of the water which is usually hard to see! And the cyclists and joggers on the bridge and the last one top with the clouds and soccer players!

      This might not be the best app for that as it will make the final result a fairly short video. You should consider other dedicated timelapse apps like SkyFlow. But you could try with this and just be sure to use power to your phone or a USB battery otherwise it won’t last.

    What is the benefit of recording in timelapse mode in comparason whit recording in normal mode and speed up the video (i guess the memory space saving is the only benefit because of much lower frame rate)? And yes, sory if my english is litle broken XD. Thansk a lot!!

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  4 роки тому

      That’s one reason, sort of, but just speeding up the video isn’t technically a timelapse since you have every frame recorded. With timelapse you record a frame every few seconds or sometimes every minute and so it will look different too.

    Good info, thanks! But why use time lapse instead of just video?

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  3 роки тому

      Well in this case timelapse is just video, not a series of photos. However the way it’s captured is completely different than just speeding up video. So it actually looks different and it will make your file size much smaller too. Say you’re recording a 30 minute clip that would be a 30 minute long video clip and a timelapse video would be a fraction of that run time. Thanks for watching!

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  6 місяців тому

      If you mean to make it look like it’s animated that would be stop motion. You shoot one frame at a time and reposition the box/lid at each moment of the action, then edit that together later.

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  3 роки тому

      Yes with dedicated timelapse apps like Skyflow, although probably not the best use for the phone because of battery and depending on the location - overheating. If you go with a phone definitely test it first or you might consider a GoPro or a traditional camera.

  • @jaigaumataki4161
    @jaigaumataki4161 5 років тому

    Hii... what minimum time we should shoot a vedio in timelapse for a perfect vedio?

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  5 років тому

      Using this native camera app it auto edits to a length, so it’s hard to say using it. Typically we’d shoot something for 5-10 minutes range.
      Using more advanced apps you can set the number of frames to capture... So often we’ll shoot 300 frames at a 2 sec interval and then when you play that back at 30fps you’ll have a 10 second timelapse. So in this case you’re also looking at about 10 minutes.
      In the end it really depends on what kind of timelapse you’re shooting to determine the length.
