If I were you, I’d book a cabin on the cargo ship and literally accompany it to NY and make sure no rif-raf happens. Then witness the transfer because any kind of “shit” can and will happen there! Yes, and then the final leg to Bermuda. I want to see it all! Does anyone else want to see the whole adventure?
Most companies stopped bringing passengers onboard for cargo journeys during COVID and it's never really picked back up again, more hassle than it's worth it seems.
I'm sure matt has a couple of weeks spare to spend in a cargo ship cabin without Internet (and cabins used to be expensive). The car will be in an enclosed container, nothing to see.
Great content 👍and great car. I have a 2001 Z3 2.2i sport in silver, I bought it as a mid life crisis back in 2008 from a certain Nick Ford at a place called Romiley garage! I still own it and it makes me smile every time I drive it.😁
Stunning little Z3. I've just put a deposit down on a 98 1.9 genuine 57k miles from new. Prices are rapidly rising on these classics, now is the time to buy one !
Ahh, Matt, Bermuda! Visited my sister there in 1992 . She worked there as an accountant. Flatts inlet, Mangrove Bay, Johnny Barnes R.I.P, on the Hamilton roundabout. Beautiful place.
I was completely underwhelmed by these when they were current but now, a quarter of a century later, I think they look like a fun and cheap weekend toy. It’s not always about being the fastest or flashiest.
"No, Mr. Taxman. It was not a holiday. It was a work trip" 🙂 In the spirit of Liverpool .... "Calm down !". Sorry, I couldn't resist. Beautiful car. If you don't go to the Bahamas now, we'll all sulk
I’ve bought a 2.8 Z3 for a bargain price, 96k fsh. I’ve changed the water pump and stat before any heating problems and put a new MOT on it and now drove it to southern Spain where I am getting it on Spanish plates etc. Best car for my retirement in the sun and only go up in value . Happy 👍👍👍👍👍
I've been to Bermuda many times, my mate worked there, so I visited a lot and used his spare room as a base. Just the perfect island, unless you get nicked for speeding every time you drive a scooter when you visit 😂
That last sentence about needing to visit the car on arrival for the sake of us viewers is the best pitch I ever heard for a trip to be allowable on expenses! Great car and you did that guy in Bermuda a great service finding it and so thoughtfully preparing it. Thanks for this video and I look forward to the next one from your homeland of Bermuda!
I look forward to seeing your Bermuda trip, I last went there some 40 years ago, my father lived and worked there before I was born and we very nearly moved there when I was a kid.
Looking forward to a Bermuda vid Matt. I stayed with a friend in Paget a few years ago, but fell off my hired moped after a rainstorm - it suddenly turned the roads into oil slicks! Be careful in that Z3! 😂😂😂
Been to Bermuda a couple of times, absolutely love the place. Last time stayed at Cambridge beaches. Hired 2 scooters and buzzed round the island. Z3 would be perfect for the place. Now you have got us at it!! We might just go back.
It makes such a huge difference when someone takes a proper care of their car regularly. I think it'd be your sunday car once you buy your house in Bermuda 👀 Have a nice weekend, Matt 🙂
Hello, I enjoyed your Ford ST, video. I drove a Ford Festiva, in Paris, France. I found the shifting difficult. Ok viewing your vids. Great, video, great cinematography, audio and great product knowledge. All the best, Shaun, of New York City 🗽
Hello Matt, what a cracking little soft top... sure it will enjoy it’s new life in Bermuda especially if you’re there to hand it over AND we get to see it. Vicarious car tourism, like your road trips but more exotic on this occasion. Get a flight finder website on the case!! Another great content... loved the ‘pool’ subtitles 🤣
Yes please to a road tour Matt. I lived in Bda for a coule of years and miss the place lots. Driving an NV200 van for work in the middle of the night down tiny roads....Please take a run diwn Valley road for me!
Somebody has to do it Matt. It will be great to follow its journey. An excellent example of. Once had a 1st date & the lady turned up in a blue Z3 & took me to a pub nr Preston. My one & only experience of a Z3. Looking forward to te follow up(s).
When we lived there my dad was a mechanic at the Esso garage opposite Port Royal Golf Course. He went to the port to pick up a brand new car for the man who owned the garage at the time which he'd just had imported. It was "too wide" due to the 1970's huge sticky out door handles. Luckily the car was collected, door handles changed and it was then OK. It was a bit posher than the Hillman Imp we had! LOL! Looking forward to seeing the island again on your future video.
A nicely different post Matt and to be able to see this project through plus a look at your birthplace sounds great 👍 No backing down now, you’ve got to do it 😁
As excited as I was to see the Z3, I was more excited when I noticed you filmed with it in and around Burtonwood - which is just round the corner from where I live.
Early 90's the C130 i was on broke down in Bermuda , spent 10 days there in the end ,it was great , we hired little mopeds and spent our time touring around :)
This is quality content. I can't wait for the next part. Bermuda looks stunning, I've owned one of these 1.9 140bhp Z3's in black. Lovely cars. So much fun. And like you said Matt what a perfect little sports car for a tropical island 👌
Appreciate you putting yourself through all of this Matt , you are an absolute Martyr, love this type of content, looking forward to seeing you roughing it in Bermuda 👍
Such a pretty car heading off to such a pretty island. My sister-in-law had one of the first 2.8s in the UK back in the ‘90s, but sadly sold it when her first born arrived. Always loved the Zeddie.
That is a lovely example of the Z3. If only I had a garage to put it in, then I would have one. I personally would have the 3 litre straight 6 but the 1.9 would be fine and would give you so much fun. Always enjoy your videos Matt and this one is no exception. Thanks for sharing. 😊
The car has an AX registration which is Cardiff not so affluent as Ascot. A few of my car were AX as I live in Wales, it's the old registration format before it changed to "C" for Cymru.😄
This was one of my favourite HP videos - original and entertaining. Well done! Next is a video of you sipping cocktails at your clients gaff with an update in due time! 😅
My 85 year old father has one exactly the same s reg in silver and only uses it in the summer if it’s not raining probably one day a month I think over the last 2 decades he’s probably only put 5k on it (might be slightly more) other than that it just sits under cover in his garage!
Please do the Bermuda video. The whole thing, plane, car content, the auction, a beach trip etc. A feature-length vlog would be absolutely unreal 😁 And if you need a hand with any of that then let me know, you know where I am 😂😂
Tour of Bermuda sounds awesome. If you need someone to carry your bags I'm down 😉 on a serious note this particular Z3 is stunning and can only increase in value. Lovely "original'' car.
Yeah let’s see the auction and tour. I was lucky enough to stay with friends in Paget in 1979/80, so would like to see what’s changed. Horseshoe bay my fav place.
Some lucky so and so is going to be well chuffed with this beautiful BMW, it's going to sit pretty there and yes it would be nice to see it handed over to it's new owner so get your bags packed and your passport out and treat us to a holiday
Lovely car Matt. I watch all your videos and they’re very entertaining and informative. I would love to see a tour of Bermuda. I’ve been housebound for the last 6 years and when I’m back on my feet and even though I live in Aberdeenshire I fully intend to have a car with High Peak Auto number plates sitting in my drive 🤓 Keep the brilliant videos coming 🤓
My best mate died a few weeks back & had one inherited from his father. It was his pride & joy weekend driver. Lovely 2003 2.2 straight 6, iconic motor!! ❤
I'd be nervous about just having it loaded like that. Isn't there some kind of foamy wrap you can cover a car with? cut around the door and a window for the screen/for mirrors. Helps to protect against minor knocks etc.
Seaforth docks 🤦🏻♂️ my god I’ve lost some years of my life in that place as a container lorry driver, minefield to anyone unfamiliar with it although not as bad as Southampton and Felixstowe 😅 great video look forward to Part2 🥤🍿
Gorgeous find for your customer. But I’m torn, the sensible part of me says 25k on a car and the cooling system shouldn’t need touched. then the practical side of me that’s had that generation of BMW for many years says you should have done the radiator/hoses/pipes/water pump etc because bmw. Alas you should still go welcome it off the ship in Bermuda. Cheers
That is a very very nice original car I’ve had one the same but not in that condition and I loved it they look dated but that’s the whole fun part isn’t it ❤ would love to see your home town island ❤

A tour maybe, stuff living there.. telling me I can only have one car 😂
I hear the triangle is nice this time of year
What a glamorous life you've led - Bermuda, Spain, California, Stockport.🤣
Haha I know… Stockport is temporary I promise
@@HighPeakAutos Do you have British (Bermuda) and Spanish passports, too, Matt?
@@dansimmons21 Sounds a bit like the Trotter family. New York, Paris, Peckham v Bermuda, Spain, California, STOCKPORT ! ?

Had the privilege of a week in Bermuda with the Royal Navy. Loved it, and the Z3 is perfect for their roads.
Ah lovely

Not hating but your financing a 8k car ? How are you not buying it out right??
@@dannyjayke8695I guess it's a deposit to secure the car instead of financing

Another left field video release Friday night and a good one! 👌love Bermuda too.
What a great new bit of content, hopefully there are 3 or 4 videos generated from this journey.

I agree. It’s just classy. Like the old 507 BMW
