- Just another pouch that could make a nice gift, add ribbon or tassels, or maybe use faux leather or suede for a more interesting look.
MATERIALS:
Main fabric:
1 piece: 13” x 13” for the body.
2 pieces: 2” x 3 ½” for the small tabs.
Lining fabric:
1 piece: 13” x 13” for the body.
2 pieces: 4 ½” x 5 ½”, for the side panels.
You will also need :
Enough fusible stabiliser for the main fabric piece. I used fusible foam.
One zipper longer than 16”, mine was 22” long.

What are the final dimensions of the bag?
I no longer have this pouch to confirm, but considering the size of the fabric and the way it will fold when sewing pieces together, I think it will end up being about under 8" wide x under 4" high. The fabric is 12" wide, the front will lose 4" in total due to the 2 squres at the bottom, which will form the sides of the pouch. That will make the front 12". Due to the squares , the hight will also lose 2", so the hight will be 4".
The seam allowance is 1/4".
I hope this make sence, you can use paper to make a pattern and do the folds according to the squares to confirm this.
