I love the way you talked to the mechanism… like you were trying to make friends with it so it would help you through the install!
Loctite is EVERY Harley Guys’ friend!!!!! Welcome to the world of tighten, loosen, add PERMALOCK and tighten again!!!
I thought I had better. I don't trust it. hehehehe.
It’s a fine line between comfort in the wind and line of sight.
A never ending search for perfection. !
I think there is usually some compromise. Thanks mate.
Great job Matt… the first video I think I watched of yours was the Gel Seat install… you have a natural talent! 🤔🤭😉
Hahahaha. Thanks mate. I'm not sure what that talent is but I'll accept it.
Gotta love a good extension!
Can’t wait to see the full review, will be very interesting to see how much it has improved!
✌️✌️
Extensions make everything better. ;)
Thanks Rochelle.

I don't get that joke... can you explain it to me ;-) haha
Haha
Nice review! Thanks for sharing and have a great day! Big like👍👍👍
Thank you.
Brilliant unboxing?? Looks cool now mate nice info on it stay safe 🤠🇬🇧👌👌👌
It makes a big difference. Thanks Don.
I like your Kawa. :) The idea of going to ride and see how it works in just one video was great. Hope it will work for you for a long time bro (Kawa and the extension :)). Keep up.
I've ridden it a fair bit since. The screen works really well. Thanks mate.
@@hachewie This is good news.
When you find the sweet spot, this mod is golden and really ups the quality of the ride. Great job chewie. Eric
I wasn’t impressed at first. I now love it after using it for a couple of weeks. Thanks mate
Nice install mate. I had a chuckle along with you when you dropped the allen key (we have all been there).
It is amazing the difference such a little diffuser makes.
I love how you bike has an adjustable screen.
I dropped it a second time when I centered the screen. Such an idiot. Thanks mate. The electric screen is awesome.
Thats interesting. That might be worth looking into something like that for my road trip.
I love it mate. Very cheap improvement.
Install didn't seem too difficult. Looked like it helped at the highest setting. Good video Chewie!!
Thanks mate. Yes the install was easy. It definitely helps. Now for a proper ride.
Not what you expected Chewie. See how you feel about it after a month. Great installing the product and lucky all parts were included. Have a great day Chewie. 👍🏽🙏🏽🤗
Thanks Jojo. I really don't expect you to watch these kinds of videos, but I do appreciate it. Thanks mate.
@@hachewie thank you Chewie, but I like to connect with my supporters. Your a good man.
@@CowboyJojosAdventures Thanks mate.
Gotta love a good extension, they can really help. I’ve always wanted to try one of them, the electric adjusting windscreen is fancy when you find the sweet spot. I think I bought the exact same extension, nice install mate looks a lot better than the one I had fitted to my givi, install didn’t seem too difficult. Brilliant little mod its a fine line between comfort in the wind and line of site, after a 4hr ride you’ll love it! Great jom Matt, cheap and cheerful Chewie. I have heard good things about them, you need to invest in a magnet pick up tool. Thats interesting I think you did the “little metal plates” right. Nice little video Chewie, I like your Kawa, great DIY project. I love the way you talked to the mechanism, thats a pretty substantial mechanism to attach, gotta love an extension, that should kick the wind over your head, they really do work when I have my windsheild all the way up. Nice work dude
Maybe.
That should kick the wind over your head, if it stays on. I had a tall windscreen and handle bar risers on mine.. I work with the following standard procedure, "what instructions, work it out as I go along" 😁😁😁 The espresso taste for the coffee cup helps.😜 Cheers
Thanks again Moz. Yep, instructions are for other people. Hahahahahaa. It is definitely helping.
Brilliant little mod especially for us tall buggers. The gap between the OEM screen can be a good thing as it can sometimes provide a nice jet stream of air.
The gap is fine. Weird how raising the screen caused the air to hit me from behind
@@hachewie turbulence is a funny thing.
Nice little video Chewie, hope the screen serves you well mate ✌️
Thanks mate. First impressions were not very enthusiastic. After using it for a few weeks now, I love it.
@@hachewie can't blame you for the first impression - that mounting system would have given me the shits for sure! 😂
That's funny mate
Respect
Thanks mate
Cheap and cheerful Chewie ! Just enough to break the wind 💨flow ! Cool gizmo brother!
Thanks brother. Yes it gives much respite from wind noise.
they really do work and gettin the right angle set up can be a bit of a trial and error but does help
Yep I’m loving it now. I was uncertain at first. Pretty good $39 I think.
@@hachewie thats Cheap As
after a 4hr ride you'll love it! thanks for the video mate!
It’s already proven it’s worth.
Is that you playing the background music Matt? It was awesome as usual and fit the video well!!!
Thanks for taking us through the process mate!
Petie- out! ✌️🇨🇦
Yes mate that's all my music. Thanks Petie.
Watched the vid and I don't even have a screen to attach one to! Over the years I've struggled getting decent quiet screens on any bike because I'm so tall.
Given up now and honestly I'm happier on a naked bike, at least it's a constant pressure and no buffeting
I’m 6’3” and yep, it’s frustrating. Thanks for watching mate
Even more surprising to me was to realise you have an electric adjustable front windscreen... I didn't even know any bikes had that! wow... Not sure what I think about the extension. Fiddle with it some more and see if you can get it better... People chase their tails on the Sport Glide trying all sorts of things... I think I'm happy to have my helmet in clean air and a bit of pressure off my torso... I'll leave like that for the moment until the itch comes and grabs me maybe in a few years/months/days/hours lol
After my initial lack of enthusiasm I’ve now set it up better and it does a substantial job. Thanks mate.
Looks a lot better than the one I had fitted to my Givi, don't tighten the clamps up too much as well as this can crack the screen from the wind resistance on the road 👍👍
Great camera work for the whole vid too mate, lots of angles, me likey 😃
Thanks mate. Great advice. It seems to be holding up ok.
That's a pretty substantial mechanism to attach. Hope it solves a problem mate
It’s a Cheap N nasty solution but it does work. Thanks mate
That’ll make the difference mate I built mine works a treat goodonya chewie cheers
Thanks Tazy. Yeah mate I love it after having used it for a couple of weeks. Cheers mate.
Great DIY project Chewie 👍
A very simple one. 😉
I think you did the “little metal plates” right Chewie!!!
I think so too.
That's gotta work man heck......lucky that hex keys did not go down into the bike by to much...I must say though I have seen extra screens a lot on the GTR's but the factory screen on the ZX14 I get nothing from that it really is very good but I am sitting a lot lower than what you do on that bike as I am a bit over the tank like I am humping something lol.....cool as buddy and keep safe
Thanks mate. I was very underwhelmed at first. After a couple of weeks on the bike, I love it. Makes a massive difference. I’ve never ridden a ZX14. I’d love to try it.
@@hachewie I have never tried a GTR I would say it would be way better on a long trip than mine though
They can really help, I used a similar thing on my Moto Guzzi, and also tried it on my Aprilia. Yours seemed to help a lot with the audio! 🙂
After my initial disappointment, I now love it. Thanks mate.
All great stories have an element of drama. The Allen key drop should be in slow mo with dramatic music 🎶 and the journey to re find the lost key 😉😉
Hahahaha. You are right. I should have thought about that. 😆
I`ve have heard good things about them, but for me it`s not an option because the fastener is right in the line of sight, though there are those with fasteners on each side but still.. Looking forward to the review:)
There is a company that makes a windscreen for my bike so long that it would look like a triceratops^^^,
Hahahaha. Up your way, I’d imagine a proper screen wold be essential. Are you able to Ride yet? I’m guessing not.
@@hachewie Sure, I`ve have done several trips already. Even have a couple of videos of the scenery I ride in. But they are raw footage, and far too noisy to be enjoyed:/ I might upload one, but with heavy disclaimers^^^,
Nice work dude!!
Thanks mate.
I've always wanted to try one of them on the CBF, might have to get my behind in gear and get one, be very interested to see do you like it in the long run!
I think you figured it all out very well considering there was no instructions, unless they were hidden off camera :P The allan key was demanded by the Kawasaki, it needed tribute.
You seemed to know 6 inches very well. Id imagine those little metal plates are supposed to bend a bit to pinch the rubber seal maybe.
Hmmmm the mic sounded cleaner, that is very interesting. What's the flashing yellow light on the dash?
The yellow light is the traction control light. It is on always. The camera shutter rate makes it flash on camera. It is stupid though. Something I’ll talk about in a bike review.
Hahahaha A tribute. Metal giants demanding gifts.
The screen extension is good. It works. After a few decent rides I’ve learned how effective it is. I love it.
The little metal strips twist out of position when tightening the grub screws. Really clumsy and cheap design.
I think I bought the exact same extension, and had the exact same doubts 🤣
But, it worked a treat. That was until I invested in a raised seat 🫤
Having said that, I fitted it to a Royal Enfield Himalayan that matches your bike in first gear 🥴
Somehow, you made a boring vid cool 😎 Keep a hold of that Allen key Chewie 🙂
I think I need magnetic fingers. Hahahaha. I’m very happy with it now after using it for a few weeks. Thanks mate.
...is that a check engine light blinking???
Just the Traction Control light.
When I have my windshield all the way up I can also feel a draft behind my back and during the winter months is a bugger as the cold wind gets into my undie and freezes my nuts ! Lol 😂
Oh man that’s terrible. Frozen nuts are the worst. 😂😂😂
Hmmmm, how is it now?
It’s much better. Took a bit of adjusting. Now it’s awesome.
Assembling that was similar to buying stuff at IKEA lol.
Hahahahaha. I should have got my wife to build it.
@@hachewie 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You did not properly assemble it annoying 😊
@@lewielorenzo6090 How so?
You are correct, you get what you pay for😂
Yep.
But can you smoke and ride ? :P
I used to when I was a smoker. 💚🏍💨
You have an electric windshield… that’s just not fair!!!! HD doesn’t have that option!
Yes mate. It is fantastic too.
I don't trust that mounting. Applying for refund now.
I’m still using the same one. Had no problem.
No offence intended but it's horrible and would look better in the bin 😂
Yep, I agree about the looks. It makes the noise in my helmet much better though.
This one is different from mine and I have like 40 pieces puzzle ...
@@romans883 ahhh. Dunno man. Sorry.
