A clear video Dino with a logical approach to your fitting method. A windscreen on the DR is necessary for comfortable riding. The screen looks very good on the motorcycle.
Well done Dino !👍 I've put about 3,000 miles on my Dr 650 this year and absolutely love it . However don't enjoy the highway as much due to the wind so this video was pretty interesting . My DR650 is stock without any shield or fairing now.
I am so glad you are enjoying the DR, I still love your PE175 as well. both great bikes. Ill let you know how this windscreen work out, unfortunately the weather is turning here and I'm not sure how much more season is let to ride. Thanks again for the comment. Dino
@@DinosTinkerShed The weather is turning fast as well in south Indiana ..... Supposed to be 26 F low on Halloween . Did you get finished with the Truck and equipment training ?
Really good installation video Dino. The screen looks great on your DR, and I am looking forward to seeing a test ride video with feedback on how it performs.
LOL, thank you, I'm hoping to get out a bit more before winter fully rolls in. If I get to Trenton this year it will be on the SkiDoo lol. Thank you for the comment. Dino
I think I might go with the Parabellum. I really like the way it looks on Carl's bike. All I know is my DR needs a windscreen of some kind. A little nippy today riding around without one.
I love my parabellum as well! A big improvement to help keep wind off your chest and not becoming a bobble head down the highway. I did plasti dip the top half of mine as well. Main reason being is I ride at night and for some reason I would get some glare at the top of the windshield from my led cyclops bulb. That did the trick as far as glare and looks good too.
White plastic rivets (used on autos to hold splash guards, etc.) could plug those old fairing holes nicely. I used them to plug holes in an old XR650L's fenders and cowl ... that I had before my DR650.
Thank you for the tip, I was thinking of painting some rubber plugs but the rivets would be way better. Ill have to pick some up. Thank you again for taking the time to comment Dino
Hi Dino! Lovely video again, we like the Broll shots! We think your old mounting holes look like there's a polar bear hiding behind your windscreen, which makes it even cooler!🐻❄️😎 🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️
@@DinosTinkerShed Hey Dino! What a great idea!!🤣🤣 You should totally do that! We call Emma's DR the skunk 🦨, but that is mainly because it smoked a lot. Maybe we could get some skunk stickers for behind the windscreen🤣 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♂️
@@DinosTinkerShed oh wow! No snow up there yet? We had one day in Upper Michigan here where we had a dusting but no major storm yet. It’s coming though.
Great video Dino. Looks similar to the Bajaworx I put on my DR. I am keen to hear your evaluation after some rides. I experimented with mine with different spacer thicknesses, different locations on the flyscreen, and ended up removing it as it made the air so LOUD around my helmet. It was not buffeting my head, just loud. Clean air is quieter. I may try again as it definitely is a warmer ride and better in rain. Cheers!
@@tsdmoto I put it on later in the season and have not really put enough miles on to give a realistic review. It's snowing here right now lol. I'll do a review once I've got a few miles under her
Another great, thorough how-to episode, Dino. I've noticed a marked improvement in your indoor lighting in this episode. Looks great! My grainy indoor footage could use some help in this regard! One question... What kinda drill bit did you use on the plastics? I always worry about it grabbing and breaking hard plastics like the windscreen.
Eric you need some supplemental light my friend. For this I just used a regular drill bit as the white plastic is really soft. For hard plastic I like to use step drills that are ment for sheet metal.
Dino great video. I think there's still time for some testing at speed (i wanna know the results). Layers are your friend out there right now. Was out in 4C this last Sunday, no screen at all. Just bundle up. I have never been happy with small bike screens because they usualy are just the right height to ship the wind at my face...add the unavoidable buffeting and its chaos for the ears. Got a huge sxreen on the st1100 that works great but would look quite dorky on my DR...patiently awaiting review ride(s)…
I just bought the same windscreen. I wonder about your experience with it. Can you give us some feedback? Do you think the position you fitted it was right ?
I think they only make the one size, it sits about where my BMW screen did so for me I think it will work fine. If you are looking for a bit more coverage you may need to look at another brand or an extender for the top. thank you again for the question. Dino
Hey Dino nice video. I have a clip on visor that is made to extend a windsheild on my dr 650 and it does a good job but im always interested in other screens. Hope to hear your thoughts on that one soon.
Thank you for the feedback, I was looking at those and thought it may be a good addition if this windscreen needs a bit more height. I may have to grab one to try as well. Dino

Hi there Dino, Good job, How much of the screen sit above the head light cowl in millimeters ?
Díd you find that it deflected the wind as you wanted?
Awesome 😎
No longer listed on ebay or amazon as a Mantt windshield. Wonder if its now sold under a different name.
