Rescue Team DX is one of those games that I never thought would happen, but I’m so glad it has.

Same here. The remix of Rayquaza’s theme is definitely one of the best parts of the remake.

The original rescue teams are clear example of how they originally intended the DS to be a side-grade and not upgrade from the GBA, but we all know how that turned out.
How so? To me it just seemed like a way to cover themselves in case the DS failed.

Also both their box arts represents how the GBA slot of the DS is in the bottom while DS is on the top, even when you boot up the game the screens are in different places as well, the main screen in Blue is at the bottom while Red is on the top.

Great video! Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team was one of my favorite gameboy advance games. It felt so different in all the right spots from the main line games.

i love how the box art for Blue and Red Rescue Team are actually connected and how the cartridges are inserted to the DS actually reference the box art for those two games that's why the art work for Rescue Team DX is the same thing but put together and i always thought Red and Blue Rescue Team is a reference to Pokemon Red and Blue the first two games for the series

I became a fan of your channel some time ago and rn I am so excited to see a new version differences video.
Makes sense that porygon and porygon 2 would be exclusives from a creative standpoint. The porygon line always evolved like game tech has (starting with jagged angles, then being essentially the same thing but smoothed out, then getting more complex and faster), so they're exclusive to show that you have the technically better/worse console.
Does anybody think it's weird that Lucy chose, out of all the tracks in the game to choose from, the Sky Tower theme as the track to compare when the official Pokémon UA-cam channel uploaded the Blue Rescue Team version of Sky Tower on the same day? I smell a conspiracy! What are you hiding from us, Lucy?!
There's also the bug in the initial Japanese release of Blue Rescue Team that deletes your save data if you play it while in dual-slot mode with any GBA game.

Also, the only way I knew how to win in these games was by being cyndaquil (my fav) and smokescreening all the bosses. Over and Over.
lmaooo i was the same with skitty. i just used attract on all the bosses and it worked really well. i beat a few bosses without even taking damage!!!

Skitty was my go to. With attract and double-slap, bosses were a breeze.
I used machop, low kick is the perfect move for late game.

Well we DID just get PMDRTDX just a couple days ago. So give it some time, like 2-5 years and Maybe just MAYBE we may have another Mystery Dungeon game. Though dont take my words for granted, I'm just merely making a safe assumption as to when the next Mystery Dungeon games come out. But for all I know, they may not be coming until 8-10 years from now. But I'm no Xatu, so I can't forsee the future.

just a heads up, the music difference isnt soundfonts - the two games have the same soundfont (though red's is more compressed), the difference is actually based on sound hardware. the GBA has just two PCM sample tracks (though you can play more than two samples at a time if you do some fun audio programming to mix them) and then also the integrated sound hardware from the original gameboy, which the DS did not keep for obvious reasons, instead upping its sample capabilities massively. this means that a lot of red's soundtrack is synthier, with lots of square wave basses and noise channel percussion, while blue's is entirely based on samples.
Hello, I've recently found out that the move "Stomp" actually has another effect besides flinching the target, it's doubling the damage when the target used minimize. Why does this effect is not shown on the moves description? Is there any list on internet that describe all the moves hidden effect?

I actually prefer Red Rescue Teams bassier soundtrack, there are sounds in the GBA game tracks that are absent in the higher quality tracks in the DS game, like Mt Blaze, the bassline just makes that song so much more impactful and the choir is completely absent in BRT.
i remember for Christmas my parents got me a ds lite to upgrade my advance. they also bought me two Pokémon games being mystery dungeon red and blue which tickled me cause even as a kid i knew they got me the same exact game but it was still magical

Blue Rescue Team is my 2nd favorite game of all time. My cartridge is pretty old and chipped in a part. It's hard to get my DS to register the game and any impact the DS takes that isn't gentle causes the game to crash. I have to take good care of it if I want to play.

Hey, Candy, When I was Little I had Blue RT and my cousin had one called Green Rescue Team. I swear. Even in the Title Screen Green was seen. I Dunno were did he get It, but I didnt find anything on internet about It. Someone knows about this strange game? It was of DS. I think It was a hacked versión, but being both like Seven years old,. I dont think my cousin knew st that time what hacking meant. And the Game was in physical. A cartridge, I mean.

I keep telling people that the GBA version has the superior soundtrack of the two but nobody believes me since most of the rips on UA-cam are either bad rips, not directly captured from the GBA, or just plainly the Blue version. D:

@@CandyEvie I stand corrected. I went to double check the info before sharing it correctly(since guides for it growing up always said blue rescue team and not red), But lets just say, after doing the Latios and Latias event, you can do an event that breaks the ninetails curse. The day after that, a special pokemon can be found at level 5, and with amnesia.
I legitimately didn't even know they were on different consoles until TODAY! And I've know these games existed for over a decade and a half!
I am SO GLAD I'm not the only one who noticed that the two have different soundfonts. I thought I was crazy for the longest time.
