Just a suggestion as an option to the glue stick: washi tape. I use it all the time, not just for inserting extra stuff into my Bible, but on edges of the pages to color-code. First page of Psalms is blue, etc. Never a problem with pages tearing and after a long while, can still pull and move around the washi tape ....
Very nicely presented! My then-fiancé used to ask me to type his notes about various subjects and insert them into his Bible. Each insert was a mini study on the subject and contained references to supporting scriptures. The first one I typed was on which day was the God’s Sabbath and how to observe it correctly. It was inserted at Nehemiah 13 and had supporting scriptures such as Mark 2:27 (who the Sabbath was made for) and Gen 2:3 (the seventh day of the week, not the first day, as most churches teach). Another insert was on the holy days that God established; they outline God’s amazing Plan for mankind, but that Plan is only revealed once you start observing them.
I typed many “inserts” for him over the years through our life together. We were married 39 years when he died last year. I have the two Bibles he used, complete with those inserts, and I appreciate all the the work he put into them, studying each subject to find “here a little, there a little.” Today, I see people emphasizing how to journal the way they feel about various scriptures, and there’s probably a place for that to an extent, but since our thoughts are not God’s thoughts, His church should be searching the scriptures and synthesizing His thoughts to come to a better understanding of Who He is and who He wants us to become. Bible inserts are a great way to do that.
When I started helping my husband with his inserts 43 years ago, there was no YT, no such thing as Bible journaling. He just knew he needed more pages in his Bible, and he figured out how to make it happen. He didn’t type, and he wasn’t a crafter, so he enlisted my help.
Thank you for this tutorial.
By the way, several people have asked you to remake your template, which is apparently lost. Please tell them to just add 1/4 inch to the width of their Bible page and fold their insert there. Or however much you had added to your template. They seem to be stressing about not having a template.
Again, thank you for your take on how to make a Bible insert and the humor sprinkled throughout the video.
when God created the world, He rested on the 7th day. Yes. But there wasn't a calendar back then and the days of the week weren't named. You can buy calendars today with Sunday being the first of the week and others where Sunday is the 7th day of the week. It doesn't matter which day is the Sabbath, it matters that believers make one day holy and give it to the Lord.
@@orchidmdg hehehehehe! I like your creativity and synthesis. I think its time for Bible study and add some cross-references to this study like what the old man did. Don't forget to pray while doing it.
Much Love.
Ps. its all tongue-in-cheek neh!
Great note, sorry about your husband. Wow, what a tremendous job you did in assisting him, he must have been really proud to have you with him. I'm going to pinch your concept and type up my notes, stick them in with some removable glue so if need be they can be amended. You obviously have some wonderful memories to live with, what more can one ask for on this sojourn. 😊
Kudos to you for speaking the truth, and very humbly at that. We as a society need to pull ourselves up out of our feelings and get back to the Truth of things. The Bible does indeed state that the Sabbath is the 7th day. One of the people who commented on your comment said there was no calendar back then so we can basically make the Sabbath any day we want. That, unfortunately, is the mind-set of many. Convenience over Commands. Let's pray that God blesses all of his children with the clarity and wisdom we need to walk confidently and faithfully with Jesus Christ, in the way that is most pleasing to Almighty God. I really appreciate your giving that detailed example of how exactly your husband's note system worked, because I've recently begun more mindful bible study and plan to follow his lead in that. You have a beautiful day 🧡🙏
Jason, someone in your home must know about sewing, cause those are fabric scissors... and you, sir, might be in big trouble for using fabric scissors on paper LOL
Is there really a big difference? Of course I don't sew. Lol
Lol
@@bratgirlrules8094 There actually is. When you use a cloth scissors on paper for some reason it gets dull and doesn't cut the cloth anymore.
😱
As a fellow pastor and bible nerd, this is genius...GENIUS!
Brock Childers thanks Brock!!!!

I love to bible journal and actually do the same thing with parchment paper...yep! The kind you bake with. It’s thinner but my notes and stickers really “pop” on it. Just cut to the length/height of your bible pages, fold in half.....journal and then glue the page in. Easy peasy!
Love the parchment paper idea!!! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻
Been doing this for years glad years. Loved that you did a video. I use all your techniques except I use tracing paper and also do my drawing on that paper. Tracing paper keeps your bible from bulking up too much. Great video!
This is better than fruit loops & bran every morning. 30 years of notes in margins, on church programs, funeral programs, slips of paper, backs of gum wrappers, & occasional square or two of t.p. in addition to the multiple, increasingly, hard to read, itsy bitsy notes in my Bible. This is truly genius.
,
Great suggestion, I never thought of adding pages. I write over every blank space. Many thanks.
This idea almost seemed silly but you really made it easy. Wow I got great results even on the 1st try (in spite of the fact I had too much caffeine in me). Excellent idea for common sermon outlines. Thanks for a great idea
Where the glue sticks/crafting isle are at my local Walmart has a plethora of glue types to choose from. The one that he's using looks like the one that you can use for pictures and photos and scrapbooking, because it's repositionable and it shouldn't tear off of those thin type pages like say in a bible or on cardstock. I've had that mishap before with elmers glue because I didn't know what type to get which is why He's testing it here in a cheaper bible. I've messed up my nicer bible with hot glue and it made me cry a little. But that is how we learn 😢😅😊
Sir, your personality & humor just made my morning. Also, an awesome idea. Thank you.
You are BRILLIANT!! Why hasn't anyone else come up with idea ? Oh well... came in Gods perfect timing!! Bravo to your non crafty self !! New sub ! Going on a binge watch !! Ta ta !
Outstanding video. Thank you so much for posting this. SMILES
I had a fully color coded bible. I was so sad when I misplaced it. :( I just bought a new one and restarted my color coding process and gues what, it is THIS bible! Can’t wait to add pages to it! Genius!!
I have been wrestling with the idea of buying a NEW journaling bible. But I already have several bibles and honestly don't have the money to invest in another type of bible. This is the solution to my problem! I can add pages in one of my current bibles. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! And yes, love the sense of humor! God Bless you!!
I was literally looking for a video just like this! Yep in 2024!
LOVE this! GREAT for people who love the Interleaved Bible to journal in but don't want the thickness of a full Interleaved! Thanks for sharing!
Genius indeed. How could I live without this?!
This is a great tip! I also enjoyed your sense of humor :)
Blessings!
Thanks, Nicholas!!!
By the way, I shared this video on my blog post. You can see it here if you'd like:

Me too made me laugh
Wonderful idea Jason. Don't know why I didn't think of the folding idea sooner. I'm going to us it to put typed notes on major subjects I've been studying for years in two new Bibles I'm going to be getting. Thanks again.
Thank you. This is great. I am going to glue pictures of my family to the paper where the scripture is that I pray over them.
great idea Grace for Life! Never thought to add paper. Thank you for sharing brother
Now, you can get ALL those notes in there!
I can’t wait to try this!!!!! My favorite Bibles are all with narrow margins...soon that won’t matter. Thank you. So glad I stumbled on to your channel.
Came across your videos and I enjoy them. Your presentations are well done and your humor is a bonus. Wish I could present something appealing; since I am teaching Scripture.
Just did mine...I put 2 pages in. Thankyou friend
Awesome idea, my 25 year old Thompson Chain Reference is so inundated with notes, this will be done! Also, some of the notes I made, maybe 20 years ago are now too small for my 50 year old eyesight! It would be a joy to do as Paul and write large with my hand...
Love this tip. Bought a journaling bible and it’s so big and heavy that I don’t use it. Now I can add a page wherever I need one on my other bibles. Thank you.
Liked. . . Commented. . . Subscribed. . . You are hilariously gifted!!!!
Philip!! That encouraged me!! THANKS BRO!!!!
This is such a good idea! Thank you for sharing.
I think that I am going to convert my bible into a study bible by adding contextual print outs to the start of each chapter using this page gluing method.
Yes!!!!!!
I actually do that too. I’ll copy and paste stuff, print it and throw it in my bible using this message.
I have to say I just found your channel Ok I'm not a pastor im 43 and live in a nursing home but hey i think i could out sermon my pastor yes i said that . The other thing you can do is use a half size binder from target to hold you paper and your notes and all the stuff you like to tip into your bible
I really enjoyed this informative and humorous presentation. I foresee a great many note pages appearing inside my Bible in the near future.
Thanks Joseph!!!!
Dude I just found your channel the other day. This is my new favorite channel. Thanks for what you are doing for the Lord.
Thanks for that encouragement Ryan!!!
glue is on the way....thanks!!!! I still want to have a wide margin bible....maybe on the next read through! thanks for this!!
Just found your channel via a FB group and I loved this video. Laughed and learned! What a great idea and one that would definitely work for me.
As I print inserts for my planner, I think that an inexpensive corner punch might work, too. A 5mm corner rounder punch (such as on Amazon) should do the trick. Like a paper cutter, it’s nice to have.
Katwoman I love it!!!!
This is great! Thanks for sharing the idea! Peace and blessings, brother!
Thank you Jason. Everytime I added paper it was all over the place sticking out. This is a great video. I really appreciate it- and you, Love your humor.
Jason, thank you for showing us how to insert paper in the Bible so it is secure. My notes will be there when needed.
Wonderful idea! Exactly what I will be doing from now on to get rid of all the loose papers in my Bible. Thanks so much for sharing this.
WOW AWESOME❗️❗️ THANK U SO MUCH FOR THE TIP & THE DOWNLOAD...EXCITED TO TRY 🤗🤣 HAPPY THANKSGIVING🔥🔥
Great idea! I was just thinking of getting a small legal pad to write notes on. But this will be much better! Thanks so much!!
LOVE the suggestion to have your "go to" sermons pasted in with a new page. Thank you!!
Thank you so much, I just needed the basics on inserting pages and believe it or not, it took some serious searching!
I really enjoyed this video. You didn't make it boring and it is extremely helpful. Thank you. You are also fun to watch. This was my first time watching your videos.
Thanks Dyanna!!!
Okay guilt has overcome me....... I liked, had already subscribed and now leaving a comment... You are a genius.
I’m going to give this a try. I have been looking at loose leaf Bibles but they are expensive and quite large. Thank you for doing this video.
Just happened across your video. Not sure how I missed you because I do watch a lot of videos. Thank you. I subscribed so now I won’t miss any more of your informational video. God Bless you.
Glad to have you with us Lois!!!
I really liked this video. I wondered if i could do that but i was scared of messing up my Bible.
That hair tho!
But I did the interleaving on my expensive Study bible and on my sons cheaper reading bible and it was a success success.
Thank you for sharing the great ideas.
May God bless you!
You crack me up. Thanks for providing a lighter side to things important.
Awesome. Gonna try it with tracing paper too. You're very fun.
What neat idea, I love it! Just got your insert page downloaded and am going to get started adding some pages ASAP!
God Bless! I subscribed and a thumbs up too!
Brilliant! Now to decide which of mine to try this with first.
I appreciate your sense of humor, funny suggestions, and down to earth approach to living Biblically : )
Wow, Amazing 👏🏾 😍 🙌🏾!!!! I wanted to know how to do this so I can add Family information into the Bible the way I wanted to add with lots of details. I also wanted to record previous generations in there too. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I never heard of repositional glue. Gotta get me some. I want to start journaling but don't have a wide margin journaling bible. I can't wait to get some of the glue and get started. Thank you.
Subscribed. Ribbons and pages so far. Very, very helpful....
Ran across your vid. I love taking notes but also ALSO want to include them into my bible, thanks for the tip on how-to! Now I'll be growing my bible 😁 love the 💡!
Hahaha! Make it GROW!!!
Love this guys editing and personality and passion for teaching people how to learn and use Gods word
You are such a smart Bible cookie! Thanks for the paper and the video. I've not seen other videos on this, so it might have already been covered. But, my tip on the glue is that if you happen to get some it on the Bible page (I am using Elmer's Purple) you can use the Publix card to scrape off the excess. It comes off beautifully.
Jason. I LOVE how you present!!!
This was pretty. I needed for a journal n it worked. Thank you.
~ hugs alot ~ from Foymount, Ontario CANADA
Wow! Genius idea! Thank you!
You shall not mock your craftiness! Those who not do, aren't crafty. This is awesome!! 🥳
Thank you for this video. I write a lot in my Bible and this will be SO helpful.
Just wow..I was given a family heirloom Bible that was passed down from 2 generations. I want to glue some old receipts and some pictures in it without damaging the interior. Thankyou
Love it. Love the humor.
Great video. You can use this method to create tabs as well. Very creative.
So very helpful! Thanks, brother.
Favorite UA-camr! So hilarious! (and helpful)
Thank you! I will definitely be doing this.
Brilliant idea!!! Love your humor and information for an extra page in the Bible! I take so many notes as a new Christian and run out of room, lol. I love your channel!
💜👏🏾Great Idea ~ Blessings To Everyone👏🏾💜
Loved this and thanks for sharing - I'm definitely going to try this. I've watched a few of your videos today and must say that I appreciate your honesty and humor - please don't change. I chuckled several times. Going to download that free paper now. Thanks and God bless.
What a fantastic idea !
Love adding people to my Bible I come across your channel a while back and had to subscribe
Fantastic idea! Why didn’t I think of this 20 years ago. Thanks for sharing. Love your personality 😊
This is actually pretty clever! Thx!
Thank you. I have 2 go to bibles that I've run out of space to note take so this will help so much!
are not enough. I really enjoyed this video. It's a good idea to have paper you can write on, because the margins in the bible I take to church are not enough if you make many notes like I do. Thank you for letting us see this.
For someone who doesn't like to mark up his Bibles (don't judge me), this looks like a great alternative. Thanks for sharing!
This is such a great idea. Thanks to you I found out about journaling bibles and now this. Thank you.
Great great Video! Thanks for showing us!
Brilliant, thank you so much, God bless 🙏
I really loved this. Thought of leaving a sheet in, but then knew it would fall out and I would not remember my notes. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this idea. l am getting back into studying Gods word and this will help me so much
May our good Lord Bless you greatly
Good to know, thank you.😊
thanks for explaining this so well, i'll try to do it
Thank you for the tip! Very useful ❤️🙏🏻
Thanks for this great tip. Really works great!!!
Love this idea, I've git to try it.
Hi Jason. ❤ this wonderful idea. I appreciate the practicality and your sense of humor. And yes, I liked and subscribed. Happy to support.
Very interesting. I am definitely going to try
I was just wanting to do this the other day. Cool.
Really liked this idea! I'm a note taker and sometimes can't find enough room. Thanks!!
Really enjoy your content , much appreciated. Plus the sense of humor is a plus! God Bless!
Brother, praise the Lord! thanks for the amazing innovative idea which is much beneficial for a bible note taker, especially for a preacher.
Great Idea!! Thanks for sharing!
I’m totally doing this thank
That was way easier than I thought it was going to be! I can't wait to try it!
