loved the video but would've been better without the action music
Why? You are really think that without the music would've been be better? Without this music would've been worse. Music helping making history more interesting to people. Especially for the English-language version, because English does not allow you to say "For the People", so this music helps a lot
@@Gallenon its distracting lmao. It couldve been quieter.
Yup it's hard to watch
I agree
Interesting video, great footage, but the music was so distracting...
Hi there
Difficult to watch with that music.
The images are from various movies. It's interesting that the narrator pronounces "Canada" with American accent.
A number of pronunciation mistakes are made Jacque Cartier, Kanata…
I loved the use of footage from various documentaries and biopics, it was fun to see which ones I recognized lol. I think it did need music but I don't think that was exactly the right choice and it could have been quieter at some points. But other than that, very entertaining, and great commentary. Keep it up!
We don't say Eskimo.
Its inuit.
Well it’s not called an inuit kiss either now is it?
@@ecoreas3878 Stop being dumb
Indians
These people were Britons and identified as British. The English had been at war with the French for hundreds of years trying to compete for land and territory found in the new world. Britons at that time were loyal to their King and country and mainly Protestant church of England. One God , One word. No other authority. Some say the American war of independence was a Popish war against Protestantism. When the Americans mention Ireland, they don't understand Ireland was occupied by Britain because it was an open flank that could have been occupied by the French and thus stopped ships leaving Britain. No word is spoken about the Irish immigrants denied entry unless they fought in the American civil war. One God. One monarch. Justice and Parliament.
This history of Canada goes back long time ago when immigrants from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and France arrived in our neighbor to the north.
Au contraire - it's far, far, older than that. Did you watch the video?
@@paulmadryga Yes I did, eh.
Hey, i live in Canada and a lot of people made this error but it’s better to use the word Inuit than Eskimo. Because, Eskimo mean «people who eat raw meat» and it’s the name give by the colonisator but anyways really good video :)
Why there is a so load sound in the background of the video??!! disappointment
Very difficult to take anyone seriously when they pronounce Newfoundland as "Newfin-lind". Should have done your homework.
omg! the music just killed this video
Please don't say Eskimo it's really offensive towards Inuit people
Indians then 😆
@@phoenixjim0527I’m sorry but are you slow?
I'm going to say, people watching history don't care about the back ground music.. it totally does not go with the video either
This video did not mention the 1982 Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Canada Act 1982 which enabled the country to have more autonomy from the British Parliament to amend its own constitution.
Music is awful
I love my country🇨🇦
I'm still studding for 2h
Music makes this hard for me to listen to.
What are the names of some of the Video games shown here? Such as the one that appears at 14:16?
Looks like rdr2. Not sure about the others
The music volume literally drowned out the narrative! Useless.
Informative video but the background music was annoying, didn’t synchronized with the video
The East coast natives and Iroquois did not ride horses. Those were the people of the Plains.
Ai trash calling “Jacques” “Jack…”
Wonderful story telling
Forgot the war if 1812 where Canadians burnt the white house in D.C.
The White House was not even being built until about 1862. Washington DC was just being established.
I think that's something that many American historians (save for the most diligent ones) prefer not to discuss. And to be honest, it wasn't us who did it, really; it was the British. But then, it can be argued that we were still officially British at the time, so maybe we _did_ do it.... [shrug]
I was watching this video for my history it was pretty good overall but the music was not needed and didn’t fit with the video.
Sorry, but can of tolerate the dramatic, over-the-top music. Like, WHO thought this was appropriate for anything past the intro? What a shame. Seems like a great effort, just can't listen to this anymore. 7min and I'm OUT!

Informative video video, but I had to stop halfway because I couldn’t stand the music
Dominions? Maple Leaf? 1968?
The background music is annoying, your narrative is not focused, and you use footages from movies and other non relevant sources.
That's your opinion only.
Too many misnaming of the First Nations and Inuit to take this seriously. Indians are from India.
Money related deal.
Oi
History of Russia would be much better in the current context

Pronunciation is painful
Great video but you left out all the Black history which is extremely disappointing 😕

How can I help you?
Hi
I live here and I never heard Canada pronounced as KanadaLOL
The image at 17:43 is from the movie “Glory” where Robert Gould Shaw is about to meet Frederick Douglass.
Not very relevant to the Canadian historical narrative that they're trying to present, is it...?
All good except annoying music..
As a Professional Musician I cannot stand listening to this type of relentless automatic background music. I’m sorry I missed your narration.
Why the hell did you put such loud music
First Nation, Inuit or Metis; Indians are from India.
Woke 💩
You mean Indians
Indians
The US’s history is much more interesting.
It's impossible to hear anything because of unnecessary loud music of the video. A very bad job
Annoying background music. Could not watch.
Amaizing story telling wonderfull

@@HistoryOne you mf gigachad, take my like
Not a bad overview - lots of complicated historical narratives, tough to discuss in any depth in a 20-minute vid. A few thoughts from a Canadian amateur history buff:
1) This expat Newfoundlander would like you to know that there is no such place as "NEWfundlund". The pronunciation you're looking for is "New-fund-LAND".
2) The word "Eskimo" translates as "eater of raw meat", and is considered a racial slur today. The northern aboriginal people of Canada refer to themselves as "Inuit".
3) The French at Quebec didn't "catapult". They "capitulated". The two words are not at all the same.
4) You use an awful lot of footage taken from movies that have little or nothing to do with Canada or our history. Surely you could have found more relevant movie clips and film footage...?
Cheers!
Thank you!
