it's so hard to make him use boomerangs as primary weapon? if you want a guns guy there's Deathstroke and Bloodsport, and if you want someone "charismatic" there's Hitman or Peacemaker

Why are all of his weapons not just boomerrang based?
Because it's easier to give everyone the same weapon with different properties instead of making 4 unique characters.

Well he couldn’t just be using boomerangs. Maybe he could, but it’s a gameplay decision made to streamline his character. And he still gets boomerangs a lot. Everyone has guns in this game.

They all need guns because again, they're not superheroes. They're villians, with normal human anatomy. Why would they NOT have to use guns to fight THE JUSTICE LEAGUE?

What if they replaced the grenade with just trick boomerangs. So instead of throwing a grenade he could throw a boomerang
i played the alpha, literally everyone has a grenade as a throwable the difference is that theres different kinds of grenades like some that multi explode others divide and some others that are just normal

Idk, I don't remember Boomerang having *teleportation powers.* Is it really so difficult to design a Captain Boomerang who uses *boomerangs* and doesn't have random other powers?
@@V.elociraptor He did get a device that allows him do that tho called the speed force gauntlet which he does something called speed burst, he isnt teleporting, he is just fast
@isimikehinde5584 Well, yeah, obviously I know that there's some kind of contextual explanation and that he's using a gadget. *That goes without saying.* But my point is that the game is still struggling to translate these characters into gameplay that feels genuinely reflective of their unique personality/traits, so in addition to depicting a Boomer who only uses boomerangs 5% of the time, it's a mistake to also give him some other random power that *further* detaches this adaptation from the character that we know.
And that wouldn't necessarily be an issue in a vacuum, but it's annoying people because it's compounded with similar issues across all the characters.
@@V.elociraptor The speed gauntlets are from the comics though there weren't used by this version of Cpt. Boomerang they were used by his son so they might just be combining the characters. Though I agree its dumb and the game will probably be a Avengers reskin.

The gauntlet is from the comic though and is used by his son if I remember correctly, so it's not a stretch to have this one use it in this universe.
That being said, him using more of his boomerang would create stronger variation between the characters.

Im ngl, im still hyped for this game.
I dont mind it being live service as after the platinum trophy and finishing the story im probably gonna be finished with it anyways.
As for the gameplay and combat, i think it looks cool, i rarely ever play games like this but it reminds me of PvZ from ps3 which i love.

@aabdxl-7651 The Boomerang attack is clearly a special move on a timer. The issue is that Boomerang's *primary* weapon should be a boomerang.
When he's only using boomerangs 10% of the time and he can also suddenly *teleport,* he starts to not feel so much like Captain Boomerang.
And the issue extends to all the other characters. When you're playing a character shooter, you want each one of those characters to feel distinct.

DC Sunset Overdrive im intrigued. Not what i was thinking of when i thought ppl that made arkham trilogy but if its fun to play im down. Story and writing i really hope is just as up to standard with their usual stuff. Only time will tell

@@BrokenNoah well no lol it wasn’t live service so DLC was never a promise. They gave us a complete game. However on Steam we can see A LOT of new updates have gone gold so it looks like a new DLC patch is coming very soon.
@@jbstudios3000 I'm not even referring to live service. There are still technical issues lingering in the game that they have never addressed and I don't think they will at this point. And even if I was talking about live service, dataminers have found possible content involving Two-Face which has never materialized but it's neither here nor there. Even for a single player game, post launch support was barely there - radio silence then they dropped the free Heroic Assault then no significant communication to this day other than a single tweet regarding Game Pass inclusion. Their social media presence for the game is basically reduced to non-existence. Giving us a complete game is just baseline to selling a product. That should be a given and goes without saying. Per SteamDB, I wouldn't expect too much. Sure, there's regular activity but unless they announce something, it could very well be a minor QOL for all we know.
When can I expect an email to see if I got into the playtest?
If you are from any other country other than America I would not recommend buying this game as being a person who lives in New Zealand. I got tricked by Warner brother games what they did was false advertising. They told everybody around the whole entire world no matter what country you’re in the game will come out on the 30th at 12 PM. Not realizing that other countries around the world have different time zones now being from New Zealand I’m 24 hours ahead of every other country, so of course when it hits 12 o’clock on the 30th here I try to play it and it says the servers are in maintenance mode making it so that the game is completely unplayable on the alleged but as the consumer it’s not my fault that they’re too stupid to think of that which screws over my friends and my family members who want to play this game who already purchased it as well for $100 this is complete BS
If there gonna make dlc characters they need to have Red Hood done right this time as the lethal version with a crowbar or katana or spirit swords. Just imagine a fight and dialogue with batman and the rest of the league 🔥🔥

Albeit not what I was expecting from them I'm open minded devs do also needa do different projects to keep the creative juices flowing. boomer using guns and not boomerangs as his ranged weapon is the main reason im not buying this game. You had one job, it was in the name and you messed it up.
Took 9 years off one of the best stealth type games ever made and put out a shooter game with no stealth I will not be buying ts ong stealth completes a game makes the story better not everything has to be big maps with switches on rpgs smfh
