------ Minegumo - Japanese special premium Tier IX destroyer.
The Asashio-class was a group of 10 destroyers that were built for the Imperial Japanese Navy between 1937 and 1939. The Asashio’s were designed as an improvement over the preceding Shiratsuyu-class destroyers. The Japanese government allows the London Naval Treaty to expire without ratification whose limitations disallowed improvements to the Shiratsuyu class without exceeding limits. No longer adhering to limitations, the displacement and hull length of the Asashio class were increased to improve the speed and operational range.
Minegumo was laid down March 22, 1937 and launched November 4, 1937. She began the war escorting troop convoys in the Dutch East Indies. She was one of the destroyers present in the Battle of the Java Sea and contributed to the victory against the ABDA fleet. She served as an escort in the Battle of Midway and the Eastern Solomons before transferring to the “Tokyo Express” for the Solomon Island transport operations.
In this role she would be heavily damaged by an air attack on October 5, 1942. She would return in early 1943 and continue transport operations. However soon after she would run into a USN Cruiser-Destroyer task force during a transport run and would be sunk in the ensuing battle.
Minegumo was first released for sale on 16 Feburary 2024.

12:45 Why smoke first and let Black get the radar out? Just shoot a salvo, kill Black, then smoke. No?
16:05 Why reverse bow in kiting here instead of kiting away? Could have gotten spotted there and had to pop a smoke. All in all, you can tell the element of luck is present in this game.

agree if this is what is gettgin replays on YT, the game really has gone down hill (quit 1.5 years ago myself)

He did pretty well. I find Minegumo pretty weak, It is more forgiving than Jager because it has smoke, but the fast torps are only 6.5 km, so they are pretty situational. Kagero, with its reload booster is stronger.

It has two different types of torps. Those numbers are exactly right. And you can swap torps on the fly. It has built in "gun loader" dynamic that can swap torp types in around 5 seconds.
