Hello , I was looking for straight to the point videos using Groove Agent and I found your channel!. Thank you for your dedication and sharing your knowledge. I wanted to ask you about how to add drums to a song that is already recorded acoustically, a couple of guitars and bass but the musicians are not great yet and the tempo varies. How do I fix tempo problems in the song and add drums/percussion?

I would map the tempo then time warp the tempo to match the music, this method wont hurt the music since your time warping the tempo and not manipulating the music in any way. Basically your making the tempo match the music instead of trying to quantize the music. Time warping tempo is the method all pro studio's use for tempo issues it's been around for years. Dom Sigalas has an excellent video on this method and he does a great job at showing you how to do it. Here is the link to that You Tube video.

I wouldn't add anything until the tempo issues are resolved. All drum programs use midi to generate the drum notes and it will follow the tempo. As far as adding percussion to the music there are several ways to do it.
I sometimes use my keyboards. You can use your computer keyboard if you want. I add an instrument track and choose the drum samples that sounds best for the song. If the drum parts are complex, I will do one instrument at a time.
You can add an instrument track with the drum program you choose and drag N drop whole grooves on the new track the new drums will follow the tempo. Then open that midi track in your editor and move, add or subtract what you want.
If I just want to enhance drums I will usually use Steven Slate's Trigger 2 plugin that is the fastest way and he has some great sounding drums that can be tuned to the original drums.
      I hope this helps.
Thanks for the comment I really appreciate them.

I'm glad I could help. Dom has some really good videos on Cubase. I was going to do a video on the time warping method but Dom beat me to it. I've been using that method for quite a few years I learned from producer Michael White but he only uses Pro Tools it's much easier in Cubase especially Cubase 13.
