I feel really bad for Noah Centineo, his father basically used him as a pawn in a money-laundering scheme while he was still a literal child. That's straight-up evil.
The only reason to not feel bad for Noah would be if he knew about the scam and was in on it himself. November 6, 2019, 1:45am
@@adampkalb And i believe that he was.
Talk about child exploitation.
He literally used his Son as a money laundering scheme lol
That's hardcore
That’s not just regular stage dad antics, that is borderline evil if only because he didn’t abuse the kid...that we know of

Honestly this whole Legends of Oz scam is the prime example of the phrase: BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE
A movie about making this movie would be so much more interesting that Legends of Oz.
Actually, I did get word that a company called Taking Back Justice Television ( www.takingbackjustice.com/ ) is in early development of producing a reality series about the investors trying to get their money back and put the Legends of Oz scammer in prison for good. From what they told me, the team making it got thousands of hours of TV and over 30 movies under their belt, so they got the experience to make something interesting out of this.
You mean like The Producers, but instead of Springtime for Hitler, they make a shit kid's film?
Like "The Disaster Artist"?
Ironically enough I’d pay more money to see THAT than I would be willing to to watch the movie they actually made.
@@ElectricDragon505 Interesting history.

@@lunaitc Yep, that's true.
I said that a couple of months ago when I saw that norm of the north has a third movie.
Jesus Christ, I thought that Noah Centineo showing up everywhere was weird and this kinda explains it!
He's now Atom Smasher for Black Adam
True Story: In México there were a good amount of promotional posters, even they managed to get line of toys for the movie tie in to Carl's JR kids meals (including cups) .
After the movie release and went in less than 2 weeks, In my local city, every Carls JR chain was giving in every kids meal 2 toys, one of the brand they were promoting that month, and another from Legend of Oz, they kept doing that for 2 entire months even after the movie was nowhere to be seen. Meaning it took them at least 3 months to get rid of those Oz kids meal toys.

What’s worse is that it might get even cheaper over time and add woke elements as well.
Not anymore. Kyle Allen is instead playing the role of He-Man. Noah’s too busy being in the upcoming DC movie “Black Adam” with Dwayne Johnson.
The documentary for this whole story should literally be called "Christ, Coffee and Cartoons".
Or
"Scamming Of Oz"
I was thinking about how scam artists always have a scapegoat in mind. look at Elizabeth Holmes and how she blamed the rival lab companies, the Wall Street journal, sexism just to not see that she hurt and stole from people, ruining their lives.
I like Animat's informative videos. It's pretty damn interesting to see what happened behind the scenes of animated movies. Especially those that flopped hard and those with loads of scandals.
This is a better sequel than the sequel we were almost gonna get.
This sounds EXACTLY like The Producers! In fact, I would go as far as to say they likely wanted their movie to bomb in the first place, because if it had been successful, they would have had to pay their investors with the movie's profits, just like in The Producers and it would have been harder to take the money and run.
A movie about the making of Legends of Oz would be a trillion times better than the actual movie Legends of Oz.
All of that is INSANE! This video deserves so much more attention, specially considering how noah always seems to creep into media these days
Seeing the budget for Sausage Party, especially compared to others, I suddenly see why they thought they could get away with little to no pay for their animators.
They should make a documentary movie about this scam. The Wolf of Oz!
stay tuned.......................
did noah know about the scam or is he just a pawn? cuz if its the former that would change SO MUCH. if the latter, then... i wouldn't be surprised he is kinda weird
It's reminding me of what happened with Felicity Huffman and Lori Laughlin
I can't say that I'm 100% certain on the answer, but the closest thing I can find is that on Greg Centineo's Instagram, there is proof that Noah has attended some premieres for Legends of Oz, including at Cannes. He is aware of the movie that his dad was involved with and the other people like the Carroll brothers, especially when they made his acting debut, The Gold Retrievers. My guess is that he either knows very well that his career was built from this scam or his dad had manipulated and constantly lied to him all his life to make him a star.
@@ElectricDragon505 i guess only time will tell
I have a feeling its the latter that’s usually always the case
I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt say he probably didn’t really know. Like his dad got him roles but did he really have any idea how he got them or that he got them in dubious ways? I mean some of these roles he was a kid right? I wouldn’t expect a kid to understand what’s going on if they were successfully conning adults, none the less know what to do if he did.
I couldn't believe that the studio and creators focused on the money and recognizibility of The Wizard of Oz. They should've thought more about the story they wanted to tell whether in Oz or original and either saved up the movie or made a deal with the studio. Keep it up!
Actually give or take a couple of details and the making of a prequel comic, this movie is fairly accurate to the book its based on
The wild thing is that the rest of the Oz books actually have pretty good plots and the Baum estate is still putting them out
Something worth mentioning...they may have failed at creating a franchise, but as films with controversies attached go, dorothys return could turn into a cult film
Can I join?
Ehhhh, not really. It's still stupid kiddie fair really.
@@ExtremeWreck and? there are plenty of childrens films that have become cult classics all things considered. and even if it werent, a lot of films with negative press tend to become cult films.
@@magicamadeye Sure, but outside of the scam, it's stupid kiddie fare. It doesn't do anything to differentiate itself in any positive away, the animation looks poor & plain generic, the plot is soulless, etc.
@@ExtremeWreck it’s a decent adaptation of the book it’s based on, Dorothy of oz by roger s Baum

@@jadedheartsz Actually, even if the footage was stolen, the animation in “Foodfight” would still look cheap.
Before you say “the movie’s old animation is just from 2000s and Threshold Animation could easily improve”, let me say that Threshold also animated “Bobbleheads: The Movie” from 2020, and yet that movie looks like a 2007 movie. Who needs an episode of American Greed when you already did a great job unmasking the scam of Legend's of Oz: Dorothy's Return, AniMat.
Funny enough, the sham studio Gigapix Studios with their scam revolving an animated Wizard of Oz sequel, actually released no movie. The majority of the money invested all went to their pockets, instead of any form of production, causing the movie to not come into fruition, therefore, it really was a scam like with Legends of Oz. "The part actually WAS tailor-made for him." That's not as bad as casting someone who's obviously a poor fit for the role (I'm looking at you, every film starring a teen idol, manufactured pop singer, sitcom star, or Internet personality instead of someone who would actually be good playing the part).
The thing about Guardians of the Galaxy is, because of the sort of film that it was, the part of Peter Quill was already meant for sitcom stars to begin. Besides Parks and Recreation's Chris Pratt, other sitcom stars who auditioned for the role were Chuck's Zachary Levi, The Office's John Krasinski, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Glenn Howerton. Adam Kalb Sitcom stars and the like can do well in movies if they have parts that use their talents well.
