    I’m this video I talk about the best simple aquarium canister filter. If you have had a hard time setting up aquarium canister filters the consider trying the eheim classic canister filter. The Eheim classic canister filter is one of the quietest and simple canister filters I’ve seen! There are a lot of canister filters out there for fish tanks, but eheims classic canister filter is tried and true!

    I did forget to mention to prime the filter you just have to suck on the end of the return tube. If you have the spray bar on suck on that and cover a few holes it will still work. Also prime the filter before you plug it in. Sorry I forgot to mention this in the video!

    I used to own two eheimclassic 250s I sold one after a year and gave the other to girlfriend after 4years her ones still running these filters are great I just ordered the 350model I was gonna get the 600 but I prefer to run two smaller canisters in steed of one large one this way you get more room for filter media and more flow more options overall

    I think after a lot of research this will be the first canister filter I buy. My HOB aquaclear filters are decent, but they just aren't enough to handle my goldfish messiness.

    Thanks for video. I was wondering, has someone adapted ribbed pipes like the ones from fluval instead of the transparent ones from Eheim? If so, what size is good for an Eheim 350 experience.

    how come with my eheim, the water punps trough when i put the hose down near the floor but it stops pumping when i lift the hose up. as if the pump is really weak and it cant go trough gravity, the water goes only around when the hose is down. I only cut the hose 1 time in 2 equal parts, bc i dont have those 2 grey valves

    Great video, but i think its not easy to clean the lower sponge, and materials.
    Why are you not using a filter net bag for the ceramic balls?

      I didn’t have a bag on hand big enough. When I clean it I’ll just dump it all into a bucket of tank water. Thanks for watching! Greetings from California

    Ty: When I shut the power off to my 2217 today, the top popped up and some of the clips released, causing an instant flood on my floor and aquarium stand. Any suggestions to the cause? I bought the filter pre-owned last November and it was advertised as "like new". Thanks.

    Do you have to install the switch valve? Is it okay If I dont have installed and run the hose straight?

    • @Withtychannel

      U don’t have to install the switch valve but if you don’t you will have to take all the hoses with you when you clean the filter. The switch valves are a huge quality of life feature

    I was given a used eheim classic 250 canister filter and the intake pipe has little holes in the side of it kind of like the spray bar. Are those holes supposed to be there?

    • @Withtychannel
      @Withtychannel  3 роки тому +1

      It comes with a spray bar maybe it was assembled incorrectly or drilled I’d have to see it. But mine doesn’t have holes in the intake

    Sir, should i use the double tab connector for flow rate control Actually i have purchased eheim 350 classic for my 40x30x30 cm tank but the flow rate is too high for this dimension. please confirm should i half close the lever of outflow side to control the flow.

    Would there be any concern to turning off the filter on a daily basis?
    (then back on after some hours)
    Would it do harm to the motor long term or create some concerns on the media if it just sat around 8-12 hours with no flow?
    I'm considering turning off the filter overnight that's why (let's leave out why I would do that lol)

    • @Withtychannel
      @Withtychannel  3 роки тому

      Ya I wouldn’t do it, I’m assuming u want to turn it off because it is too loud? Have you tried the eheim sits basically silent I definitely recommend. If you are really bent on not having a filter I would recommend doing a heavily planted tank with very few fish.
