- In this episode, we begin our brand new series where we tell our wild stories. In part 1 we discuss a graphic incident while Andrew was pursuing an interesting new hobby overseas, a close encounter with a bear, and the reason we received a call from the CDC. It's so fun for us to share these stories with you guys and take a look back at everything we've been through together. Im a gymnastics fan. Shawn, years ago when i read you got married, i thought "he better not dim her light." He didnt. From a surface viewpoint, he brings out the best in you. Love you guys!

I love this! I laughed so hard. My husband and I try so hard to live a quiet, peaceful life and stuff like this always happens to us. We look back and laugh at it too, but definitely not in the moment haha. Keep the stories coming!
I normally don't watch but listen to these in my air buds..but I had to watch this episode not just hearing it. Shawn, your expressions at these stories of y'all lives, priceless! 😂😂 Since doing several of these episodes, Andrew you must get into a lot of interesting fixes. 😂😂It def makes life not boring.

And I love, love, love your honest reactions, Shawn. It is written all over your faces that you love and support each other, in everything, including the most unexpected. Some day you two are going to have to write a book filled with these wacky and interesting life experiences. OMG! I had such a similar situation with a black bear! Heard something running through the leaves in the woods behind me. I thought the same thing--is there a person running towards me???!!! My stomach flipped! Talk about adrenaline! I turned around to see a bear hauling 90 towards me!! I didn't even have my hiking stick. The bear looked "upset" so I just stood there...nothing I could do (NEVER run from a black bear). And he ran past me! My legs were shaking so bad I could barely walk back to my car that was only like 50 feet away. I've never gotten over it and still paranoid in those woods even with bear spray. I feel your fear Andrew!!

This title did not lie. These stories are WILD! But you know what? You have these stories from living some LIFE, so honestly kudos to you. I must admit I was cracking up at the last one, especially from Shawn’s reaction, like, “Is this for real right now? What is happening?” 😂 I was not laughing at your pain, Andrew. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone! I listen to The Minimalists Podcast, and Josh often says that comedy is tragedy plus time. That equation proved true in these scenarios. Overall though I’m just glad that everyone involved is okay now! Can’t wait for more wild stories in the future! It felt like sitting around a fun fireside chat hearing stories of the good ol’ days. Thank you for sharing!

Always prefer a bear to a human. You can scare most bears off. In AZ at least, the black bears remind me of stray dogs. They are very skittish. People? That can get dicey esp if weapons are involved. Love the stories!
This was a riot. I expected more of Shawn's cackling... but I think she was upset looking back. Gymnast put more emphasis into their bodies than football players. I on the other hand couldn't stop laughing. 😅😅😅😅

I have a scary bear story. My brother lives in the mountains outside of Fort Collins CO and he had his hummingbird feeders inside the entry door to refill. This happened a few months ago. In the middle of the night he was awoken to breaking glass. One bear was breaking in through a window in his guest room downstairs. Then another one fell through a glass panel right in his entry he was on a staircase looking down at a bear at the bottom of his stairs. He looked larger because he was standing above it on the stairs. He yelled and screamed at it and moved his arms, It was enough to scare them away. Insane!! Lesson: Do not leave food out on counters inside or food outside your home. They literally broke in because they smelled the sugar solution from the hummingbird feeders! 😱
Oh My Goodness !!!! i admit to laughing , sorry ! i remember when my daughter when she was 8 got hit in the nose with a softball at her playoff and my husband rushed her to urgent care , I met them there since i was on way home from work , the doctor asked how much blood did she loose and my husband said a quart!!!! The DR looked at me and my husband and said sir thats not possible. He was so nervous so the nurse had him go to another room to make sure he was ok and i stayed with our daughter for the xrays. we still remember that story as to how she lost a Quart of blood ! not really !

Even if they could prove the contract violation, I don't think any NFL organization could prove harm. The purpose of contracts is to make the plaintiff whole. Given that none of the plaintiffs wanted to employ him, I don't think they lost anything.
