This past year or so I have never needed content like Abroad in Japan more. A half hour of escapism is bliss and you get to smile at the antics of people enjoying what they do had having fun. The new studio although hard earned is going to make the journey going forward all the more amazing. Thank you Chris.
I love how, when you make videos about eating food and goofing around with friends, you always have something about the history of the place. That segment about the volcano and the collapsed hospital was striking.

Chris, Natsuki, & Joseph, Please all post a video on Japan's insane snow storm. Hokaido might be used to such but, the rest of the country certainly isn't ! Conversely My Parent's got snowed in up in The Sierra-Nevada Mountains on Sonora Pass and their generator conked out on them.
For years I've wanted to visit Hokkaido ever since I tried Sapporo beer and wanted to make a pilgrimage. It led to me realizing that it might actually be one of the hidden gems of Japan because the cold tends to keep less adventurous people away. Being a huge agricultural area too means that the food is amazing and you find things you don't find anywhere else in Japan. Glad to see you shining a spotlight on this wonderful part of Japan!
That fried chicken looked absolutely amazing!! I cannot wait to go and explore japan. I'm grateful to Chris for all the wonderful ideas and research he puts in!
Because of your videos my wife and I visited Japan in November 2018! Your production quality is absolutely brilliant and we enjoy your videos immensely. Thank you and we wish you Happy New 2022! Barbara and Andrea
My vote is for soup curry. I used to go to Hokkaido every year for skiing, so I never saw the land (it was covered in snow). That was until i did a road trip around Hokkaido in May. It was very scenic. You should go to the Furano area around that time of year - it's beautiful. As always, great food!

This year was so crazy for your channel, so many videos with the quality of production being off the charts. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us the next year, the year of Abroad in Japan's 10 year anniversary!!!
I love natsuki he’s like a national treasure
My favourite trio back at it on a road trip, Christopher, Joseph and Natsukious.
The journey across Japan series is so nostalgic for me.
This past year or so I have never needed content like Abroad in Japan more. A half hour of escapism is bliss and you get to smile at the antics of people enjoying what they do had having fun. The new studio although hard earned is going to make the journey going forward all the more amazing. Thank you Chris.
Natsuki has me howling with laughter in every video. Hes such a happy go lucky funny guy
I don't know why but the way Natsuki crossed his leg at 9:40 is the funniest thing I've seen all week and I've watched it about 20 times.
These three are officially the best travel trio in entertainment history. Absolute legends. 😂
I love how, when you make videos about eating food and goofing around with friends, you always have something about the history of the place. That segment about the volcano and the collapsed hospital was striking.
I seriously get excited when I see a new episode is ready..The 3 of you reminds me of the of the old top gear. 3 personalities. good on their own but great when brought together....
Please never stop this channel is really one of my top 5 favorites.
Natsuki is such a joy to watch, unreserved and funny.
The food also looked real appetizing, hope I could try them out someday.
The full might of the Abroad in Japan empire is ready to send Natsuki’s new song “Gimmie Sauce” to iTunes top 10, awaiting Chris’ signal
What an amazing year its been for Abroad In Japan this year. It seems like we got more content from you this year than any other across the two channels and collabs with other UA-camrs and the podcast.
Definitely excited to see what's next!
And hopefully visiting Japan will get a bit easier too. Its been really disheartening this year having borders closed again. But your content is helping keep the dream of visiting Japan one day alive. :)
Abroad in Japan - Your videos are great! I lived in Japan for 14 years and now I live in England. I miss Japan a lot and your videos give me a chance to reminisce. 13 years of those years were in Sapporo. Great food! After trying a lot of the soup curry restaurants I remember finding what I think are the best 2 in the city! Keep up the good work!
Hi Chris. I want to thank you for the entertainment during 2021 that you have provided. I am an Australian male nearly 65 years old and absolutely look forward to your videos. I hope 2022 will bring many more. Connor Joey and NATSUKI are fantastic side kicks. Happy New Year to you all from Australia.
Miso ramen is a must try dish but my favourite is the last dish. I love how Joey and Natsuki say "gimme, gimme sauce" together
I lived in Kushiro for three years. Best fried chicken, scallops and crab I've ever eaten all in one place.
chris talent is to make a 72 hrs journey into a 23 minutes of an outstandingly interesting video
can we just appreciate how amazing the editing is in this video?
Idk how cable TV is still a thing when you're out here self-producing travel documentaries that are just as good if not better than anything on TV!
20:22 was the perfect beat drop for "Gimme give me sauce" XD
I love seeing you three together. Favorite episodes. I hope you do another long Journey Across Japan in 2022. It would be nice to binge it during chemo. Congrats on the video you...well Joey and Natski did in 5 hours making it into the top 14. You guys are fun and entertainng as hell. thanks for the distraction!!!
Damn, chemo. Sorry to hear about that, carry on fighting, you can get through!
Good luck with your chemo!
I feel so lucky even if we can’t visit Japan now we can still travel with Chris with his top quality videos! Hope I can see Hokkaido for real in the future, but for now, thank you Chris!
Man. I've been studying japanese for about a year now to go and properly visit the country someday and every time I watch a video on this channel it completely refills my motivation to study up. Thank you so much for the constant inspiration this year Chris et al.
It's not an Abroad in Japan episode until Chris is eating ramen while Natsuki begs for his life.
By far the best thing about the trip is Natsuki. Never a boring moment.
The soup curry looked so good, but the chicken also sounds amazing. Natsuki is just the best! Happy new year to everyone!
This video is so beautifully structured! I've been watching your videos for 7 or 8 years and you can very clearly see the progression of your skills.
Keep up the amazing work!
Natsuki is his own mood and I’m here for it.
Hearing the Journey Across Japan music just makes me so happy. Hands down my favorite series on UA-cam.
I've watched your channel for over two years...we went to Japan on our honeymoon just before the pandemic...and your channel was one of the resources we used to orient ourselves to Japan. Thank you for all your content.
AHHHHHH! I used to live in Toya so this was quite the shock. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to, I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hokkaido. Great video as always Chris
Hokkaido has been my dream place to visit ever since I was a kid. Can’t wait to go soon and eat delicious food all over Hokkaido 🤍
This intro song so iconic by now. I love it. Will watch these series in 10 years with great nostalgia
These videos are a perfectly curated escape from every day life. Thank you Chris and friends. It's greatly appreciated in hard times.
please never stop doing these travel videos with the boys, they are some of my favorite videos in existence.
This versus Joey’s video shows the incredible difference in their presentational and editing styles
My vote is for soup curry. I used to go to Hokkaido every year for skiing, so I never saw the land (it was covered in snow). That was until i did a road trip around Hokkaido in May. It was very scenic. You should go to the Furano area around that time of year - it's beautiful. As always, great food!
