450hp AWD converted Mirage/Colt

- Mitsubishi most likely didn't intend for their Mirage (Colt in Europe and other countries) to be converted into All Wheel Drive monsters with Evolution drive trains, but, here we are, and that's exactly what K-Art in Perth, Western Australia has done.
The team have done an insane job, as you can tell by how clean it is underneath - and this is why I only ride passenger this time around, but what an absolute privilege!
Running an Evo 8 4G63 pushing 328kw, 447hp, insane sequential box and of course, converted to AWD, this little Mirage is like no other.
The car rarely sees the road but has of recent had some issues with Western Australia's fun brigade, TEG & DOT, hence the excessive blurring (also a request from the owner, respect their wishes!).

and for anyone that doesnt know, I have one of these but 97 with a 6a12 mivec v6 swap...the rego paper literally says 905kg with all fluids so they are insanely light. What an engineering masterpiece this car is! so good!

Sounds awesome! Is it awd too? I have an 8mr with pretty much 2 or 3 of everything in regards to driveline parts...I also have a little ce lancer coupe, been wanting to make an evo 5 or 6 coupe out of it haha
The 6a12 mivec engine makes good hp but a dismal amount of torque I owned one and the most NA power you can make out of them is about 220whp .
Before I wound up the boost on my 4g63t Vr4 powered 200hp Cordia Turbo which is around the same weight as a mirage and I compared them , the acceleration was night and day.
Damn that car is sick. Amazing to see how well the effort put into this video produced results. Video looks fabulous love the cinematics especially

What an awesome build. I had some work done on the wife's evo by these guys and after many decades in the car scene I can confirm that these guys are the go to for evo and Mitsubishi. I really appreciate them.

As an Mitsubishi mechanic since over 20yrs this is something i've been thinking of the last 20years...!
I know for fact that Mitsubishi acually did a ralliart model of the Colt with drivetrain from Evo XI.
So sad that they didn't made it for the market 😭
But however now days you can get a Colt for pennies and a Outlander turbo cheap...

I'am just gona end My swap with a Opel kadett c with a Mitsubishi 4g94 turbo and a Lexus is 200 6 Speed gearbox first... Someday... 😂

how did you do the awd conversion do you have evo floor in the rear
Not my car, but it's a hybrid Evo rear subframe to allow for Evo rear end pieces to bolt In. It's all about that subframe that allows them to then bolt on Evo parts directly 😎
Was it hard to get the motor in or was it pretty easy considering they usually have the same motor as a lancer
Motor swap from my understanding was the easier part, the AWD part and everything else is the mental part haha
@@joydrive thats what I was thinking too, I'm hoping it will bolt to the original gearbox and I'll just keep it fwd and put less power through than these guys
