Hi i have a question regarding drift cars, i got almost all the packs and have tryed them alot. Started with DWG and then Swarm never grasped drifting when i used these cars, then i tryed Gravygarage and learnt to drift on those cars. But now when i go back to DWG or Swarm the FFB feels sooooo much weaker compared to Gravy's cars, not sure why but it affects the drifting alot so now i have a very hard time to go back to DWG/Swarm. Is this something you notice asweel? Also i understand Gravy have abit more degrees on the tires if im not mistaken which helps alitlebit, but the big thing for me is why the heck is the wheel twice as ¨snappy¨ compared to the other cars? Much easier to let go of the wheel and let it self align, the other cars almost need me to nudge the wheel in the right direction when doing transfers. Got a Fanatec wheel only 4nm tho but im considering to uppgrade to 8nm if it affects this problem i have. Edit* Should i put the gravy cars on the shelf and get used to how the other cars handle since its so different maybe?
I had never really tried the Gravy Garage cars, so gave one a go this morning. It was quite easy to drive. I then switched back to a DWG car and the steering felt very different, almost light and vague. Took me a little bit to get use to it again. In the beginning, I struggled with the transitions on the DWG cars. I do try to throw (or nudge as you said) the wheel in the other direction when transitioning now, which has just become part of how I drive all cars. Some cars need it, and some don't depending on how they are setup and corners etc. I don't change any of my wheel settings between cars. As for what cars to drive, that is up to you and what you want out of it. There are plenty of servers that use Gravy cars if that is what you want and at the end of the day it should be fun. I wanted a bit of realism, so seeing an AE86 with a DWB rear end turned me off the Gravy cars. The way you have to drive the DWG cars will translate back to the Gravy cars but not the other way around. I had this same issue going from WDTS to DWG.
@ASimDrifter Ahhh thank you so much for the input, im gonna put the Gravy cars on the shelf i think. Better learn DWG will take a few hours to get to the same point i think but will be worth it when done. Another 1000laps around the training circle at kuno's drift map i guess 😂
