+gsa1973 I took the bags cross country and couldn't have been happier. The bag was a nice little back rest whenever I needed it. The best! Thanks for watching!
used the Kriega 30+10 on the back, but I don't have a passenger seat, so had to rest them directly against the rear fender. After 1800 miles, the protective rubber mesh on the underside of the bag polished the matte paint on the fender in places. So be careful to protect your paint!
Great video mate, you saved me heaps of time. I have a fender rack I was thinking of attaching mine to but having seen this did the same on my Yamaha/Star Bolt R-spec and attached to the similar frame design (except they are slightly curved on the Bolt). This Kriega bags look great on the cruiser/sportster style bikes.
Textbook install, mate! The pack looks like it could have been made for the Iron 883. Thanks for choosing Kriega and taking the time to video the process. P.S. You can also mount the pack across the bike, as opposed to in-line with it, if you find you need any more space on the saddle. Cheers!
I actually also have two US-20s that I'm using to go along with the 30. All three of them look great together on the back of the bike. My friend and I are in the midst of a cross country trip and he's also using Kriegas. The bags have already served us well. We got caught in the middle of torrential downpour and everything in the bags remained bone dry. I'll post a video about putting all the 3 packed bags on the bike soon. As far as the space in the saddle is concerned, I actually like using the bag in-line with the bike because it makes a great back rest. Thanks for watching!
Tobias Lindstedt Mounting the pack across the bike is basically the same way as mounting them in line with the bike. All you have to do is flip the bag around and then strap it down.
+Jordan Hardwick Thanks Jordan! I love my bike and I hope you fall in love with yours the day you get it. Good luck on the test and enjoy riding! Thanks for watching!
I'm considering the Kriega bag but didn't have any idea how it would mount to a Harley (Touring) without rubbing the tins. Thank you for this great video! Huge help before making the purchase!
It's been a few years now and I love the Kriega system! I use it whenever I'm doing any kind of trip. The bags served me well on a cross country journey.
Thanks for the video, I've been contemplating purchasing one of these bags but it'll be strapped directly onto my fender, do you think the bottom of the bag is grippy enough to hang on?
+Daniel B How do you plan on securing the anchor straps? I think the bag bottom is grippy enough but it's the anchor straps that are really gonna hold the bag in place. The bag doesn't move much once you strap it down tight. I'd love to see pics/vids when you're finished!
+Right “Thing” Motos Think I can still thread it the same as you have, just the bag won't be on top of the seat, just the fender itself. "hopefully" that works.
Right Motos It was a good vid on installing and thanx for your response. I have a Kriega R20 and like that one. So I think a will get me a US-20 and a US-5.
Does it scratch the bike anywhere? Also, I do not have a passenger seat right now so would it scratch the paint at all without a passenger seat. Great video btw!
MotoZixxer The bottom of the bag is pretty soft and designed to avoid scratching the paint. I think as long as you don't pack anything sharp or pointy in the bag, you should be good.
+Cole McGrath The seat is really comfy but there are a few problems with it. The number one issue is the fact that it isn't waterproof. Whenever we get a little rain, the seat soaks completely through and my ass is wet for days. The other issue is that my lady is really uncomfortable whenever she rides with me for more than 35 minutes. The seat looks great though and feels fine whenever I'm in the saddle. Good luck with your decision and thanks for watching!
Kriega makes some good bags. Another benefit of that install is that the bag locks you in place really well - used that trick many a time.

Great bags! Great job!
KriegaUSA How do you mount the pack across the bike? I dont have the bags but thinking of buying

Well, you convince me to get one, thanks for the idea, and for sure it will looks good on my iron 883.
impressive. it got simple look. I am sure if i remain the line, the pack can also mount with sissy bar. thanks fo the video.
man your bike looks sick! i honestly cant wait to pass my test and own my own 883!
+Jordan Hardwick Thanks Jordan! I love my bike and I hope you fall in love with yours the day you get it. Good luck on the test and enjoy riding! Thanks for watching!

I love that you noticed the oil cap! That is definitely a project I need to do ASAP! My friend is still a savage!

Glad I could help!
It has nothing extra, nice bike
Thank you!
Hey mate thanks for the video. How has it been since you installed it. Any dramas?

You should be totally fine with that.
Nice! Thanks for the vid. : )
cool bag....just subbed
Thank you so much!
@@RightThingMotos but where did you get those hooks for hookin up the bag ?
@@Thisfutureman They come with the Kriega bags. You can even contact Kriega if you lose one and they'll send some new ones to you.
Отличная идея)
Two Wheels 36rus Спасибо!
Thanx for charing :)
Tobias Lindstedt sharing (sorry)
Tobias Lindstedt My pleasure! These are great bags. If you're considering getting a set, I highly recommend them.

Please please what lights are those are they breaks and turn?
The lights are X-Arc lights and they are indeed breaks and turn signals. Here's the link: www.hightechspeed.com/products/xarc/index.html
Hi, got any info or videos on or about the suspension for your Iron?
I'm rocking a Progressive suspension on the front and back.
can you carry your backpack as well as mount the us30? would it be in the way? thanks
I've never tried riding with the 30 and my backpack but I can imagine it being tight. Best case scenario, the backpack rests on top of the 30.
Good video. What seat is that?
The seat is a Biltwell HB Seat For Harley Sportster. The style I have is in Diamond Stitch Black. Thanks for watching!
How's that seat? Looks really comfortable.
+Cole McGrath The seat is really comfy but there are a few problems with it. The number one issue is the fact that it isn't waterproof.
