  • this is the only piece of luggage i used for my trip (video coming soon). I can highly recommend this bag to anyone as it did seem to be bottomless.
    I didn't get to full test the waterproofing but the quality spoke for itself. The ROK straps are also an excellent piece of kit.

    Thank you for the video. Was helpful in deciding what bags to buy for a Central Asia trip. Kriega offers a ten year warranty and has many positive reviews. Great product. Note that the US Drypack series is promoted for urban riders and the OS System is promoted for touring. Greetings from Sri Lanka

    Certainly has its place. Not a fast in and out bag. Good for stuff you will only need when you get to destination. Thanks for showing how it attaches.

    i can vouch for the waterproof qualities of Kriega stuff. It is absolutely incredibly waterproof. I've the 20L and 30L and they have never let me down. Just be away that the little outside pocket is not completely waterproof, so watch putting sensitive electronics in there!!

    Is the straps necessary? the bag hooked pretty well even without the strap hmm..

    The kriega is very good but I just use a £10 dry bag and rok straps 100% waterproof and a tough 40L of space jobs a good un.

      I do the same. I love the look of the Kriega but you can't beat the value of the dry bag and rok strap combination.

    Reckon that would work on the back of a commuter bike in a way that the straps can't go under a detachable seat? As in the straps would have to go under the entire tail

    • @birdoneword
      @birdoneword  7 років тому +1

      As long as the straps are long enough. Ideally ya wanna be strapping it to the frame if you can get to it.

    • @IRELANDSELITE

      Yea I have bars under the tail for a top box I can mount to those. It's just I've seen only vids on sports bikes where there're attached to the frame under the pillion seat

    Nice video.
    Nevertheless I won't recommend the US-30 anymore. Bought it myself last year and went through heavy rain for one day. There are two points where I'd now say these are a "no go" for me:
    - the outside pocket is definitively not waterproof. Every electronics you put in there will be destroyed after a heavy rain. And yes, I really took care to carefully close the zipper.
    - the outside material of the bag completely soaks full of water and it lasts a days to become dry again. Due to the double bag construction, the inside is kept dry at least. But, I don't like to have a soaked bag laying in my hotel room and to handle with a still wet one the next morning.
    Next time I'll look for a bag where already the outside material is waterproof.
    Just my experience and 2 Ct.

      @chazphot 6 років тому +8

      Not to be that guy but Kriega clearly state that the outside pocket is water resistant only, when you get to your destination just take the inner bag out and the outside will dry off in no time.

    • @kirtidesai660
      @kirtidesai660 4 роки тому +3

      Your review is wrong- the outside pocket- EVERYONE says is resistant and not proof. So if you didnt see or hear that then its your fault.
      My son did the Mustang Ride in Nepal with this bag in rain sleet and snow.... and he had dry clothes every night to sleep comfortably in because of his US20.
      I think you are unfair to a brilliant product.

    Those bags are so garbage. Unless you fill it 100% capacity the straps system is useless and falls off when ride off road

      @@onanysundrymule3144 I have a US-30 that I rarely have even close to full. No issues riding on roads with it, even with it nearly empty, as long as the mounting straps are pulled tight to keep it from shifting. The earlier commenter specified having the issues off-road, however, and I only ride on-road
