It's not fair that Vince is playing stadiums and John is playing these small fests and clubs. He still sounds amazing and absolutely crushes this song, meanwhile, Vince sounds like cats f%^&ing.
When I read Tommy land by Tommy Lee, I got the impression he didn’t want to let John go. Reading between the line I think he felt they should have released another album with John. But alas record company pressure won.
The only people that wanted Vince back was the record company. My guess is they said bring Vince back or loose your deal. They all knew he took them to the levels that Vince held them from reaching.
When Vince did the Exposed album, It exposed the lie of "him wanting to be a race car drive and not into music" plus Vinces Album wasn't bad either, So it really was a major miscalculation on the other three, they tried to screw Vince over, and really ended up kinda screwing over Johnny boy, God bless you John. You made a great album and you have Mick Mars's respect after all the bullshit.
I love the song but despite his amazing voice it didn’t work with crue. Vince Neil is the sound of crue. I just wish he kept in shape and looked after his voice

He could continue as a guitarist, but I think I'd consider hiring someone else to take on the vocals if I was him, before he's not even capable of talking. Singing in the style that he has for so long, would eventually ruin anybody's chords.

Saw him yesterday in Ashland, Ky, with Tom Keifer of Cinderella, and he still sounds awesome. I even met him after his set. Really nice guy.
