yasser is a definition of peace and kindness
As well as bob ross
Until you steal the last of his jelly beans and he becomes unhinged, I know his kind.
Except for the minority attack part
Piece and kindness

I would give a decent amount of money to see Seirwan playing chess with Dark techno playing in the background
This is the most important chess lecture anyone can ever watch. Yasser explains things so well and the subject matter is so crucial.
This guy's manner of speech is hypnotic. Draws you in completely.
I’m a simple man, I see Yasser and I drop a like.
#me2
Top dog teaching us fans
Well said. :-)
Definitely simple. To repeat a comment that’s on every.fucking.video

This great master is the Uncle Iroh of Chess.
In case you don't understand the reference - there is no higher praise. This man is an international treasure.
Yasser is our friendly neighborhood chess uncle.
Lol
🤣
chuncle
Save our bob Ross of chess

Everyone: What to do with passed pawns?
Yasser: *P U S H E M B A B Y*
lmao!
Thank you so much for making this Grand Master-thinking and intuition available for free on the internet: It honors and promotes chess to so many thousands. The laid-back style and hearing you describe your thought process in many situations is a gift to chess-pretenders like myself. Chess = Life
If I was an old lady, I would like to be with him. Luckily I'm 21 years old man.
he means to see a true gentleman in any age range is rare. but I would have just said something along the lines of 'I wish you were my father' in order to not be 'quite' as creepy
hahahaha
You mean unfortunately?? lol
No Homo
Be cautious. If I had a daughter I would warn her first not taking a narciss as partner.
This has nothing to do with a great teaching video. Seirawan is a great teacher having delved deep into the game.
This is golden, and actually very entertaining too. Yasser with his deep knowledge of chess struggling to erase an arrow, or, I was grinning at 10:35 when, after chastising chess authors for using descriptive phrases such as 'the rook is powerful', Yasser is saying "Thanks to my very powerful rook..."
I love this so much! Strategy always seemed like a some sort of remote knowledge that suddenly appeared in the minds of great players, and this lessons, as basic as they are, made me really think about this concepts and start to have a glimpse on what strategy is, making me much more conscious of it! And also Yasser is just great and a pleasure to listen to. Keep'em coming brahs, I'm sure this might not be the most successful videos and people prefer when something absurd happens or high energy streams (which are great don't get me wrong), but this are to my eyes the greatest videos you have and the one's I appreciate the most.
Agreed. This video has real knowledge that players can use in their own games. Most of what you see on youtube or twitch is pure entertainment and in my opinion of low value. I do watch some chess for entertainment but its important to separate what is of real value and what isn't. This video is one of the most instructional chess videos I've ever seen in my years of watching chess videos on youtube.
What a privilege it is to enjoy this lesson. GM Seirawan is a fantastic teacher, thank you!
Yasser's enthusiasm for the game is infectious
No exaggeration, Yasser is one of the best teachers I have had the pleasure to witness.
These lessons are awesome. When I can learn something elementary and basic, that I didn't fully understand, that's a great teacher and a great lesson. Thank you Yasser and Chessbrahs! This is brilliant free content, and this playlist is going in my bookmarks for sure! Looking forward to the next ones
It feels like I’m watching and listening to a chess book. These videos are incredible, thank you!

Yasser is just a gem to the chess world! Amazing stories and very clear explanations of chess principles.
Yasser is the best and most importantly a kind and a natural born educator!! God bless you Yasser
This is mind-blowing! More Yasser, please!
I love that he questions the idea of powerful or strong. What does that even mean? It means this move controls more space! Key insight!
Wow, that cookie anecdote certainly didn't have much of a payoff.
lol
Very informative. Gives a whole new perception to strategy
Big like, Yasser has wonderful teaching skills. I'm a fan instantly!
This is the best chess lecture I have ever watched, amazing!
Lucas ferreira try Saint Louis chess club lectures
@@antoniobreaux1584 very good lectures too. I learned a lot with them.
I needed this! So helpful!
I remember watching Yasser explain these things ~23 years ago in chessmaster 4000 turbo teaching program. That was a huge revelation back then. Yet here I am and I still feel I can learn more. Damn need to hire him as a coach :P
really enjoy these. thanks so much Yasser!
I like that! Hope more learning videos will come soon...
*You Are Doing great job I appreciate that*
Fantastic video Yasser, thanks for the lesson.
So good. I cant wait to see more.
Wow, such great masterclasses! Love it
Extremely helpful and well put together
Yasser is the Socrates of chess.
Yasser is a terrific teacher. Such a blessing to be able to access this kind of high-quality instruction for free!
Probably the best breakdowns I've ever heard
Wish I was just learning these concepts for the first time
Yasser you are great ches player and more then this you are great person you can give a chess lecture for players from elo 800 till 2600 you are capable to understand who is your audience and let them understand your thoughts. keep going and thanks from Israel
Such high quality content. Gotta love Yasser
Sometimes i dont feel like he knows how to communicate these ideas well but as i watch it becommes clear that he is so perfect at explaining these ideas that its hard to get him until he ties things together. He really breaks things down simple enough so i can fully understand his lessons.
Another unforgettable lesson, Thanks Yasser.
Great video! Everyone loves GM Yasser. Just a suggestion- since it’s a series with the other videos on Elements, why don’t you link these videos to each other in the description??
A great class from Yasser as always!!
KEEP THEM COMING!!! Instant thumbs up.
Excellent. Thank you very much!
This series gives me a reason to go on
dennis nizzle hope things get better for you
Stay strong man!
a wonderful lesson, thank you. beginner but this helped me immensely.
Finally! Thank you for the nice video.
Very nice lesson, thank you!
Thank you sincerely for sharing these. So grateful for your new content. You are US chess' best ambassador and a great teacher
This is phenomenal lesson! While I'm rated 2000+ online on all time controls I don't necessarily think this clearly about the position of my pieces. I would highly recommend any beginners or even intermediate players review this lesson until they memorize all of it. Pawn structures are highly neglected by beginners and this is far more important than any other aspect of chess learning. At my level, if I thought this clearly about my pawn structures and their effect on my pieces I would easily be rated 200 points higher. Great lesson Yasser! Thanks!!
Yasser: ''e5, thank you very much Elfhater! :) '' this guys is so widepeepohappy, love him
Great series 👍👍👍
Plz keep it coming
Great video which I know will improve my game! Thanks!
Powerful lesson
What an excellent lesson and teacher!
Yasser - without a doubt the best chess lessons on yt
I've never heard Yasser lecture before. He's so well-spoken, relaxing and easy to follow.
Check out Saint Louis Chess on UA-cam, and look up Yasser. You're in for a treat!
He's too hostile. He has anger management issues
Who is too hostile, Rick Rick?
Feorge Anderson I’ll narrow it down for you. Who is doing this video?
ikr, he needs to calm the fuck down
I hate how he‘s always so over the top
Yeah, I had to turn down the volume on my computer because he was shouting the whole fucking time...
Excellent! Yasser is great!
I immediately recognized a great teacher. This is what I've been looking for!
Yasser , you make me love chess more and more
He sounds like he's getting ready to tell you a bed time story.
I really like these lessons
Beautiful thanks
This just made the 100 hours of chess stuff I’ve watched make sense in 45 minutes….. space guys SPACE that makes so much more sense
Epic series, could tighten up the editing Eric.
Ok. Now i'm in mood to read Kmoch - Pawn Power in Chess. Another chess book to long untouched. Thx for this intruduction Yasser!
Somebody should definitely make that into a chess puzzle.
You get a chess position and a piece.
And you have to drop the piece in the strongest position .
You can complicate things by having it be your move or enemy move. If it’s your move you have to drop the piece and then move it
You could add positional sequences to it or tactics…
But I think that would a really great way to develop better positional understanding
Think this is a very intelligent idea .. app idea maybe could make a decent living from something that instructional and useful
And it was in this position that Captain Jean Luc Picard realised he had missed the opportunity to explore the space that matters.
Another great video
Yasser is the coolest dude!
Extraordinario abordaje de análisis de una estructura de peones, como aprovechar las piezas activas y el espacio, gracias maestro dé Cd Juárez Chihuahua México
Amazing!!
Great video
What an incredibly beautiful man.
Whenever Yasser speaks I keep getting Mr. Roger vibes. He is good at explaining things about chess.
Yasser feed us more please!
Too impatient for the next one.
Great teacher
play the video at 1.5x speed to make yasser talk like a normal person
Hahahaha, at least I am not alone! :D
ua-cam.com/video/LnQLf-CYnIk/v-deo.html
No thanks
very informative
when you think about the placement of knight and bishop this kinda reminds me london, maybe thats why it is easy to play
21:38 context matters.
gamer moment
A fianchettoed rook is a powerful piece.
nth7273 I thought that move only applied to bishops?
Joe Bermuda dude, he’s joking
@Nospotic yes the rook most certainly does a good job protecting the g1 square, if the king gets captured you can recapture with the rook
@@douwehuysmans5959 . lmao!
Yasser, we thank you for your super chess genius and immortal eyebrows
This is the best!
The question of what if a piece couldn't cross the middle of the board into "enemy territory" is really interesting because that's true of almost half the pieces that aren't pawns/footsoldiers
This is gold.
You should do some games where an additional and uncheckable king-like piece (twin) is played instead of a bishop or knight. That king has got to be at least as valuable as a rook.
This is meditative if it wasn't so interesting I could sleep to this stuff. Not like the other guys and that crazy music.
This stuff is fantastic for falling asleep to. No offense meant, cause as soon as i wake, i try to figure out where i left off and continue!
I never knew 1.75x could be this useful
Pawns are singular but they move much more than than what bishop space is
the chess bob ross! thanks unc!
Hello Mr. Seirwan, I love your voice.
more please
What is the name of the pawn structure at 17:19?
He just explained to me space, structures and plans in around 30min. This man is insane.
blubbfisch98 that is the legend yasser at work
blubbfisch98 He’s been doing this for years. He’s an astrophysicist
He is Tsschessumare in English version :)
XD You're cheating promoting yourself,( I watch your videos sometimes)
This video is a masterclass...
what a beautiful human being mr yasser is
