Basilica sacre Coeur is situated in north of Paris in 18th district. It is reachable by metro line 2, metro line 12 and metro line 4 .
it is surrounded by 8 metro stations, but nearest station to get off is Anvers on metro line 2 and Abbesses on metro line 4.
Construction of basilica was started in 1875 and completed in 1914, however it was formally declared as basilica in 1919 after world war 1.
