“Commanders are heavily trained”. If being brainwashed into thinking that they are the heroes of humanity and that Nikke are their expendable tools while being drafted off into battles with nothing but a slap on the wrist counts as training… Then yeah, they get some heavy training indeed.
they are nothing but sacrifices for the raptures so that the ark can exist. The commander and their nikkes have a very low chance of surviving their first mission. Only goes to show that their training is indeed "adequate."
It *is* training. Training is literally just behavioral conditioning, like grooming. There's no rule dictating what behavior is being conditioned into the person, animal, or machine being trained to qualify it or disqualify it for being considered training.
@@dairoleon2682 You’re right, but I’d rather not go with the technicalities as it just enforced the notion that people are right to do this kind of things because it still counts as “training”. They literally don’t learn anything there and just have an agenda forced into their minds. I can hardly see, or rather my suspension of disbelief refuses to accept that as training.

The Ark is no more than a "feeing ground" or garden for the raptures to play with. Enikk even confirms that she has been talking with them and the raptures know where the Ark is located. So the queen lets the Ark exist as long as it keeps sending up rookie commanders with nikkes to the surface. One of the nikkes even said that the raptures will destroy a nikke and scavenge their parts but take humans alive as a hostage (when possible). Since we have met Modernia we know what they use the scavenged parts for (to make Heretics) but what do they do with the humans? What does the queen do to the humans she capture? Is this the true purpose for the Ark and why she has not destroyed it? Are we just food for her young?
One things for sure, Enikk and the Rapture's are gonna get their just desserts, even if it means going full Rance/Keyarga mode lmao Enikk pissed me off so much in ch.14. I completely understood it, it was the most logical decision, but as you said it, we're just a garden and its the fact that we're just pawns, food to em, just damn playthings. The trouble we go put on cuz of Enikk... Gotta hand it to this game man, what robots, booba and guns can do is pretty thrilling.
Maybe the Raptures gain intelligence or further evolve whatever sapience they have, via consuming humans and commanders specifically, but they cannot sustain it without doing so consistently? That means if humanity dies, they lose their potential for sapience. They need humanity or else they are nothing more than war machines stuck on a dead earth. Like if Bees die out, then we lose a huge part of our food supply. Just a parallel...
I think the reason the Central Government doesn't want commanders to stick to the same Nikkes because they are afraid that the commanders would sympathize with them. One thing I've noticed is the heavy emphasis that Nikkes are not considered human but the property of the three corps or the Central Government, despite the fact that each Nikke has their own personality, likes and dislikes, hopes and dreams, etc. The last thing the Central Government needs is the commanders getting attached to the Nikkes or even going as far as to advocate for giving them human rights.
People think it's just a mindless fanservice game. I was one of those people before, until my friend finally convinced me to play. Lo and behold, it managed to grip me with the story just with the prologue/tutorial. The protagonist is a bit of a Gary Stu, but the rest of the characters are diverse, fun and have good characterization. The lore and worldbuilding itself is sufficiently deep and the events cover a lot of topics, from lighthearted shenanigans to way darker themes. The characters and event stories are very broad, which prevents it from getting old fast or being overbearing in how it presents itself. The current event as of writing this comment, well exceeded my expectations. I've only been playing around 2 months and haven't seen many prior events, but OVER ZONE is simply amazing. Apart from the very generous rewards, there are lots of content to do, the music is godly and the story... caught me off guard on how impactful it is. If you correlate this story with how Korean society is, a lot of the elements make a ton of sense. People think this game is just T&A, but it really does have some pointed commentary on the social and political problems in Korea.
I find it also interesting that Anderson knows enough about Pilgrims to make a tower specifically for them along with knowing how they move around, hence the secret passageways that allows them to enter and leave without endangering their secrecy. Who knows what will lead in the future.
From a lot of the stuff I learned tho about this game… it just seems like a terrible world. A post apocalyptic scenario mixed with the government and corporate corruption of cyberpunk. It’s so distopian. But what I hate most about the world of Nikke is how terribly the nikke’s are treated. To me anyway I consider them human given that they all have human brains in them. Which I didn’t know until chapter 7 and i found out a tad more in the new event going on right now. Point is tho. Nikke’s are supposed to be humanities saviors and what do they get for it? They get treated like garbage. Simple consumables who can be discarded once they’re no longer useful. I think nikke’s deserve to be treated like humans. With love, respect and compassion. That is the least they deserve for their efforts Btw not saying I hate the game or anything. The story is amazing. Probably one of the best stories I’ve seen from a game in a long time. And a gacha game no less. But what’s happening in their world is terrible. How the nikke’s are treated is terrible given they were human once. They have feelings, they have emotion, they’re self aware, they have their own unique personalities… the only difference between them and a human is that the nikke’s were made in factories. But they are still basically humans.
Stop thinking about it too much. It was an excuse from the devs to make the nikkes like the commander romantic or otherwise. In real life maybe some people would discriminate but most would not.
@@HazmattMorningstar true, we mustn't mix fantasy with reality. I just hope that the story change for the best and like you said, it help us to reflect on discrimination and respect.
Nah they wouldn't mesh as well and if what I heard is true, then some of the fans (from Arknights) might actually become an actual problem because of the Fanservice, because they started attacking Yostar because of Azur Lane. If true then it's a great example that a fandom can definitely ruin a Franchise.
The story of Nikke is what bring me forward to the point that, the gameplay and grinding is just too boring and I drop the game, but the story is still okay and has some great potential. The Ark is basically like 86, full of corrupted politics/big company and also civilians that's already brain washed enough that, they only know how to obey and enjoy the life. This is why our boss send us away from the Ark at first place, so we can fight our way up the political ladder and become his powerful ally. All the non-sense about commander training, commander treatment and Nikke are due to this, we are just propaganda to make civilians happy, most higher don't even care if we actually take back the world or not, hence why we treated like slave instead of hero.
The intro to this game made me so god damn livid... "here, we're making you a glorified paper pusher. Go fight mecha godzilla." Side note/spoiler - I appreciate Andersen for beating burning gum's face in and brushing off the subject. Here I am thinking "man I miss the military..."
the gameplay is amazing the story is really good and well thought out, its like a combination of Nier and the anime 86 i always felt like the jiggles is kind of just a fanservice joke. like the butt jiggling is more of a marketing strategy to bring in players, while the gameplay and story is what actually keeps its players. alot of people tend to think that the main reason why people play this is for the butts, but theres a reason why its the 3rd most played mobile gacha game. i never expected this to be the only other mobile game id play besides fe heroes .. i wont disagree that there are quite a few characters with very distracting physics. *cough* (volume, guilty, noir, rupee, isabel)
even as the story runs... i realised by lv 4 that it was Dark as hell .. but its a good interactive story line to play .. near at 11 now but unlocked most my BOND stories of the team very dark story for an 'enclosed' existastance underground reminds me of soylent green .. but for war tools
One little detail you forgot to mention is that the Commander was deliberately stationed on the Outpost by Anderson; a place where the ARK has significantly less influence. The Commander seems to have a special importance to Anderson, given how often he covers for him, so it's safe to assume that any additional incidents to push the Commander away from the ARK may also be designed to save his life.
Calling it now: both Anderson and the Commander (the Player) are clones of the Legendary Commander, created as part of a project to have a least one stand-out hero to keep up morale and to be harvested for our blood.
Y'know, i would taken the whole world setting a lot deeper if everyone didnt look so used to it. From the bat, it just feels like everyone dies, but its just a normal daily occurence at this point.
The story seems pretty interesting. I haven’t played the game myself due to my only and probably biased gripe because i’m an 15-year old boy is the fact the Nikkes are always females. I’ve seen this trope be used an lot in other gacha mobile games such as Azure Lane and Girls Frontline, and yes i’m well aware there is an in-universe explanations I READ THE WIKI, but out-of-universe i just want to see an game where badass males get to kick giant robot ass with badass weapons for once.
Hey, at least they aren’t also fighting zealous aliens that see humans as demons, a brain eating hive mind, inter dimensional eldritch horrors, and killer mushrooms with the power of belief
I'm unfamiliar with the series, so I want to ask why Nikkes are only female as far as I can tell? Or are there male Nikke as well? To me personally, there would be a bit more impact from your explanation if there were both. But it just seems like another fan-service gacha at first glance, deep brilliant story or not.
From what I get, in the beginning of War against Raptures, of course men are sent to fight it. But yeah, a lot of men died in that war. And Yes, from 1 of the Lost Relic, it is been mentioned that there was a Male NIKKE before. But it seems that the compability is more match to Female ones, so The modern NIKKE is only compromised of Female NIKKE. Too bad there is no further explanation why Male is not match to becomes a NIKKE. PS : Lost Relic is like an old record of something, in this case, a record of NIKKE Creation.
@@sebastiancastro3524 ah yeah um it wasn't really a question but i just wondering if they were going to make more chapters or is chapter 22 the end of it or maybe it was a question idk but its my concern
Asian culture try not prioritise image over everything else challenge: impossible. the line "commanders aren't trained to be effective in war, they are literal poster children" would've let me know this story is written by someone of Asian heritage even if I hadn't ever seen or heard of anything about it before.
How is that even remotely close to Asian Culture? I know this game is developed by Asian Company but that quote (if we changed some words on it) can be applied to anything related to military. I know Asian (especially the East one) was notoriously known for using metaphor to quote on their word, but it does not necessarily mean we Asian use it often. Beside, that quote (based from my first impression) could be taken straight out from ancient europe war leader/figure.

Me: looks at my own wallet... "oh it sure is unforgiving alright..."
I find it also interesting that Anderson knows enough about Pilgrims to make a tower specifically for them along with knowing how they move around, hence the secret passageways that allows them to enter and leave without endangering their secrecy. Who knows what will lead in the future.
I'm surprised the Ark hasn't seen a civil or corporate war yet, considering how bad its gotten
What can I say, I came for the plot, I stayed for the plot
That is the least they deserve for their efforts
Btw not saying I hate the game or anything.
Im with you. Honestly, if I was there, I would have said: "If they weren't here, humanity would be dead by now"
Stop thinking about it too much.
For chapter 21 I just learn that Rapture use us human as food source and energy source.
Hmm.. My Command and Conquer Sense is up again.
Command and conquer?
Is RTS game.
Kain lives in Death!
i knew as soon as i saw that scene with exia just getting gunned down that the central government of nikke is fuked
Man, Arknights and NIKKE would make a great collab since both are dystopian settings.
Nah they wouldn't mesh as well and if what I heard is true, then some of the fans (from Arknights) might actually become an actual problem because of the Fanservice, because they started attacking Yostar because of Azur Lane.
If true then it's a great example that a fandom can definitely ruin a Franchise.
yay more nikke lore vids!
In short: showing your Nikkes an ounce of affection and they’d go super saiyan for you to achieve more of said affection
This game story just like attack on titan, I hope being animated😊
I bet this guy would enjoy NieR.
This comment aged well
The intro to this game made me so god damn livid... "here, we're making you a glorified paper pusher. Go fight mecha godzilla."
Side note/spoiler - I appreciate Andersen for beating burning gum's face in and brushing off the subject. Here I am thinking "man I miss the military..."
the gameplay is amazing
the story is really good and well thought out, its like a combination of Nier and the anime 86
i always felt like the jiggles is kind of just a fanservice joke. like the butt jiggling is more of a marketing strategy to bring in players, while the gameplay and story is what actually keeps its players.
alot of people tend to think that the main reason why people play this is for the butts, but theres a reason why its the 3rd most played mobile gacha game.
i never expected this to be the only other mobile game id play besides fe heroes
..
i wont disagree that there are quite a few characters with very distracting physics.
*cough* (volume, guilty, noir, rupee, isabel)
Amazing video, I can just show people this instead of explaining it myself
I love your opinion on this game
anderson could be the son of the legendary commander, they both use the same voice actor, also their sprites are very similar
even as the story runs... i realised by lv 4 that it was Dark as hell .. but its a good interactive story line to play .. near at 11 now but unlocked most my BOND stories of the team
very dark story for an 'enclosed' existastance underground
reminds me of soylent green .. but for war tools
Thank you for making me feel less pervy
One little detail you forgot to mention is that the Commander was deliberately stationed on the Outpost by Anderson; a place where the ARK has significantly less influence.
The Commander seems to have a special importance to Anderson, given how often he covers for him, so it's safe to assume that any additional incidents to push the Commander away from the ARK may also be designed to save his life.
Thank you Tim, for sending me here
Welcome to the lore dungeon
@@Pyrrhixz oh nahhh, imma get locked up
Calling it now: both Anderson and the Commander (the Player) are clones of the Legendary Commander, created as part of a project to have a least one stand-out hero to keep up morale and to be harvested for our blood.
Came for the nyash, stayed for the story
Y'know, i would taken the whole world setting a lot deeper if everyone didnt look so used to it. From the bat, it just feels like everyone dies, but its just a normal daily occurence at this point.
Anderson is the Legendary Commander.
The ark are the real villains would a twist 😮
The Ark is a prison
Emo Commander: Man should be in frontline.
While I enjoy the story and the characters, the writing and the world building needs work, there’s a lot of why and what questions that I have
man Over Zone fleshed out so much
The story seems pretty interesting.
I so badly want this to be an anime.
I sense it will soon be. All the right ingredients are there.
Its because if a commander rose up to be the most well liked by all Nikkes then he or she can overthrow that government
I think he's the legendary commander and rapi is red hood I think lilith is still alive and we will all see it in the future installment
I want SSR Rapi
Rule of thumb: any military-themed anime and video games that pays Sawano Hiroyuki to make music will feature so many Pacific Theater reference.
This didn't age well.
Damn i thought this was a fun shooter game with, certainly designed characters. But hell i was wrong. It kinda takes away the fun fact about the game.
i love the story :D
And how the ark NIKKE boss of the ark talking and trading with the enemy
Nikke have rights as well. Nikke lives matter.
Where can I watch the CGI from your video? I want to catch up with the lore.
Wait there's gonna be more chapters along the way bc i was worried that it ended in chapter 20
Chapter 21 and 22 are confirmed to be in the works
@@Pyrrhixz ah but is chp 22 is that going to be the end or do we just wait and see bc I'm really curious how many chapters will be released
@@sebastiancastro3524 wdym and also did you just call Marian a he ???
@@sebastiancastro3524 ah but wdym question?
@@sebastiancastro3524 ah yeah um it wasn't really a question but i just wondering if they were going to make more chapters or is chapter 22 the end of it or maybe it was a question idk but its my concern
86 moment
it stucks with me that nikkes were used to be real female humans before they become a nikke? idk
Wtf when did Kevin Kaslana got added in Nikke?
Lmaoooo I didn’t even notice that! A fellow Honkai fan I see
@@Pyrrhixz He does look like him
I have a picture of Johan holding Kevin Kaslana's sword...
Destroy the Ark
To be honest yeah it's bad but not really unforgiving
yo im a famous commander?!
This game was wonderful but flawed hard because of the terrible global publisher...
What do you mean?
Was brought by the horny, but stayed for the story
Asian culture try not prioritise image over everything else challenge: impossible. the line "commanders aren't trained to be effective in war, they are literal poster children" would've let me know this story is written by someone of Asian heritage even if I hadn't ever seen or heard of anything about it before.
How is that even remotely close to Asian Culture? I know this game is developed by Asian Company but that quote (if we changed some words on it) can be applied to anything related to military. I know Asian (especially the East one) was notoriously known for using metaphor to quote on their word, but it does not necessarily mean we Asian use it often.
Beside, that quote (based from my first impression) could be taken straight out from ancient europe war leader/figure.
would be cool if the player leaves the ark
Yeah, but can they beat Goku tho?
7:12 missed a possible one piece reference 😔
i thought it was about booba
I don't understand anything about this but i won't have any feelings towards game characters that aren't interesting to me that is just my opinion
The humans in nikke just have skill issue
Who wins, Ultra instinct Goku or all the Nikkes at once?
I passed ivent Over zone my conclusion is the ark is shit
Why r we even a male
