Judging by the dash etc, this is a 2019 not a 2020. In 2020 the Niro EV got the 10.25inch touch screen and integrated dash, with air vents moved to below the screen. Nice thorough visual review without a lot of jabbering. A nice change. Thank you.
The best EV car in the world. And it will be for a while. Nothing to beat it for size, range and price.
I'm a Korean who rides NiroEV with four family members. I've never regretted buying it. Because it has a wheelbase of 2,700mm, it has a spacious interior, has good fuel efficiency, and is practical, so if Niro's design is ugly, I recommend buying a second generation Niro.

IT IS NOT THE 2020 KIA NIRO EV, BUT THE 2019!!!! The 2020 version has 2 arrow shaped daytime running lights!
The BEV has only 1 arrow, the HEV and PHEV has 2 but yep, this is the MY19 model.

These reviews made me check out some Kia's for a daily. Specifically the Rio. I went to three dealers on Saturday. Man. They're absolute nightmares. Brutal. Absolutely killed my want for a Kia.
Bevsy How so? I haven’t shopped Kia dealers yet, but I did Hyundai years ago and had a great experience.

I had a 2022 rio as a courtesy for a week. drives nothing like the hybrids or the niro. I hated the rio

I think its got enough torque based on how long that wheel spin was at 6:35.
This is one of the more interesting EVs to me because you can spin the wheels on command, and it sounds interesting
Tires spin because it has lots of torque but not enough traction. Most modern cars (ICE or EV) computers won't let tires spin because it's inefficient waste of energy.
Dylan Matheson and the fact that you can turn off the nannies and roast those tires is amazing in this. Other electrics don’t let you do that
@@motormusique Ay tesla added it as a feature in their race mode. Can even change it from RWD to FWD and AWD with a slider lol.
@@Tydud3 I can switch from awd to rwd in my old 16 y.o Infiniti by pulling a awd fuse. People who don't like pulling awd fuses everytime wired up a switch and they been switching between the two since the early 90s since the Skyline r32 days. Same awd system in my car as the skyline GTRs. My old G35x could do it almost 2 decades ago, I'm not impressed. I'm also not impressed with that 'ev' sound. Sounds like the car's dead! VQ loud pipes with muffler delete ftw Tesla nerds, your pikachu cluncker sounds like a womens hair dryer

I would like to see a crank handle open/close the sunroof (save power). Lots of shiny bits on the dash to catch the sun. I would have thought they would have made the paddless less (plastic) clicky since they are used often to change the regen. A smoother click, or lower pitch action sound would have been more pleasant

Seems like a lot of squealing tires and loss of traction. Is this just overly aggressive driving or are the tires not a good fit for a high torque vehicle?

Thanks for posting this video. The Kia Niro EV is a leap in the right direction for the EV industry. Just an observation: I assume that's a GoPro strapped to your head. I found it more of a forehead view. To get a between the eyes view, consider getting the iVUE Rincon Camera Glasses

Trim for steering incase your alignment goes off. Double click the paddle to also control the radio and pop out the center console to serve you drinks. Really neat
