I can get on with the last one it always comes unhooked half way through the process for me!
The trick with that one is you can't push it further into the tube once you start - you have to consistently pull back or that latch will open back up.

I have also used my bodkin but that's like a safety pin.
Some bodkins can be used that way for sure.
My husband came up with a way to insert a drawstring use clip on a ball point pen to hold the end
