Thanks for the vid. RIP Mark..."underrated" "under-appreciated" are usually abused terms for our favorites...but if there's anyone...it's Mark. You are missed!
I saw this exact show also. I was at the scorpions / Iron Maiden show for the blackout tour in Houston about 2 weeks earlier, where my cousin found a ticket somebody lost. She gave it to me. First concert I ever attended alone.
Have been listening to Riot since the Narita days, that's when I discovered them. All the way into Privilege of Power, after that didn't get into the newer stuff that much. What I can say is that Riot was always a little step ahead of what others were doing and I know Mark is in rock n roll heaven. I miss him and his music. Peace!
Is there a full interview of this?? I remember hearing about Riot in February 1979. My buddy had the album Narita we used to play it in his car. Good memories.
big Man it's not about hair???? if you weren't a fan or were around the time these guys contributed to music !! oh that's it !!! it's bout the best heavy rock music you will ever hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly, hair had alot to do with it back in the 80s. There were a few that said the heck with it and just shaved their heads - Rob Halford and Wolf Hoffman from Accept for example. They weren't glam though. Riot in the late 80s went Glam.
No. Riot werr still releasing awsome speed metal songs in the 90s with Dimeo but focused more on mid-paced heavy metal tracks with some original power metal melodies.
the transition to Forrester saw a completely different sound emerge in one year. if you didn't care for Forrester, and I didn't, it was over before it truly got it's chance to shine and be recognized.

He was a great guitarist and songwriter but man those wigs are so freaking lame. Gene Simmons, MAB, YJM, JLT etc WTF is it with these people? If you're going bald just shave it off. Nature didn't intend all men to have a head of hair. You are metal in your heart!
people say under rated not appreciated ... sorry but RIOT here in CANADA was HUGE ... and a big influence on me for sure ...as big as MAIDEN ... PRIEST ... SAXON ... MOTORHEAD.... RIOT will always be a part of the big original metal bands too me

Guy was a better singer, But Rhett wasn't too bad. I didn't care for anything after that though
@Greg Gentile Born in America is ok... but I definitely prefer the stuff with Guy. Fire Down Under is one of my all time favorites...
Guy Speranza era sim grande vocal.🎤🎶🎼🎵🎸
Hi, I'd like to use this in a Riot tribute film, credit to PhotogV?
Can you use my real name ?
yes, tell me how to credit@@PhotogV

Mark was a great guitarist and songwriter, but that toupee/wig is so lame. He was going bald in his 20's - he should've just shaved his head.
