Lennie Gallant performance at the Blue Skies Music Festival - August 5, 2023

Prince Edward Island's Lennie Gallant is welcomed back to Blue Skies after a long absence (his first and last appearance at Blue Skies was way back in 1995). Lennie's had a busy career since we last saw him. Over the past 35 years, he's released 14 albums of original songs (11 in English and 3 in French) that have won a host of awards and nominations from the JUNOs and les Prix Eloizes. Besides a Canadian Folk Artist of The Year Award, Lennie has racked up 19 East Coast Music Awards, including the ECMA Entertainer of the Year several times over. Lennie’s live double album of songs about his native PEI, "Searching For Abegweit", won him an ECMA, and ran for over 190 sold-out shows as a multimedia production all over Eastern Canada.
In this performance from the summer of 2023, Lennie is backed by Patricia Richard and pianist Julien Robichaud. The performance features a number of Lennie's songs, including “Peter’s Dream”, which was voted one of the Top Ten East Coast Songs of all Time and was recently inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
A recipient of the Order of Canada, Lennie is touring constantly and has performed all over Canada, in the US and Europe, for the troops in Afghanistan, and at the Vancouver Winter Olympics.
