I had the same unit given to me recently so any pattern failures for this model that you tell us about will be greatly appreciated. The one I got was missing a gas cap, had a piece of duct tape over a totally destroyed primer bulb and obvious failed fuel lines. I figured it would be some easy fixes and was impressed with the build quality. That said, I don’t want to put time and money into it unless I learn how to assess whatever else might be necessary before I really get into it. Being able to dig into it a bit to assess the other major systems before trying to get the engine firing would ease my mind. Thanks for this video!
Awesome video my brother, I was running the weed eater and it started to stop, so I shut it off. However I took the head off, and some ball bearing came out of the head...what should do???
Don’t think that will work needs to be the same size. I asked another member to see if it was viable to change, they said they cost about $28 cost of part.
Hey, I have the opposite problem 😅, the head don't want to stop spinning, and I already replaced the clutch, I clean the carburetor I clean everything on it, and nothing works, so if you have any idea I would really appreciate it.

Do you think that heat treating the ends to harden them , would help . Or just Couse problems .
Seen less problems with splined drives shafts versus the 1/4 square flex cable and solid drive shaft set ups.
Informative video. Thanks
All the ones I’ve ran across were missing the trimmer shields and had damaged clutch springs. Overloading??
It's a problem! I've replaced I bet 20 this pass year.
Just out of curiosity, how much roughly does the shaft cost for a Stihl?
Thanks Michael
@@rickthelian2215 there about $28.00
@@turner7979 worth just replacing if it one was damaged.
Thanks Michael
Thank you
Could you cut the drive shaft end off, grind a new square, cut the drive shaft housing shorter? Or would that not work?

Definitely appreciate the video
I've had 5 motors with extenders and my latest one I bought I think just did this after a year. I haven't opened it up yet but it's not spinning.
A Steel Stihl shaft - LOL

Air leak on the intake
I have the exact same one Stihl 110r. How can I tell which shaft I got?
At 3:44 you can see the two screws he loosened to remove the trimmer head. Then just listen to what he’s saying.
