I love this every time I see the video. I just wish my hands didn't shake. I would like to make this ring. Thanks again for sharing this video Peter Keep.
Wow. That's absolutely exquisite Peter 👌. Stunning!! I would love to see in person how this is done, but I will check out the lesson on your site anyway. Thank u for sharing
Fantastic work! I wish I could afford your program. Being a freshly minted senior citizen now living on a fixed retirement income, I guess I'll watch from afar.
jinbachian tavit yes I am lifting the grains with a lozenge graver. The stones were first friction fit into the setting so they would hold in place whilst I perform the setting
Hi Peter - So, do you have any recommendations for beginners when it comes to microscopes? Any particular power? Working distance? Brands? Etc.? Thanks! -
Annealing for a longer period makes no difference to the malleability of the metal and with sterling silver prolonged annealing may cause firescale, you just need to apply a bit more pressure.
I agree with all the praise said in all the comments but feel tempted to ask, whether any of the gravers, you use are the ones, you make from old files etc. I cannot see clearly any file-remnants. I think, you use at least three diferent ones.
The number ten lens of a optivisor is not the magnification of the lens. The number ten is just the number given to that lens which is 2.5 time's magnification if my memory serves me right.
Why don’t you use dividers to Mark out your stones far more accurate and quicker and drill out your stones in one go , also if you cut up the metal before you put the stones in you get a far neater job , join my stone setters group you can get help and techniques there facebook.com/groups/136040313783066/
Haven't seen this way of setting befor. Have been in the jewellery industry for 15 years. From South Africa. Thanks for sharing!
I am mesmerized just watching this. So relaxing and exciting at the same time. I am a silversmith so this is in my blood. Thanks.
That’s really an exquisite design. I usually don’t like cluster or multi-row rings, but with the carving you’ve created a soothing flow. Very nice.

well done.are you pushing the beads with an engraver ? and if yes how come the stones are not popping out from the vibration while pushing the beads?

I think you need to try some out. I got an Amscope. Not the best so can't advise it
I'm having problems with moving the metal but, flush setting works fine for me. Does it mean I have to anneal the silver longer?

Jewellery Training Solutions ok, I’ll try.

I used my other gravers for this setting as the modified needle file graver is at the college I work at. It is still one of my favorite gravers.
Só estou aprendendo com você
