Finding the cause is just part of the diagnosis process, with a little experience as well. You need to split the board to check components, in the process you can visually see the pads are missing 😃
Hey, I have a question. Wouldn't the missing bonding pads that are made with copper wire also bei recreated while reballing? Just for my understanding purpose..
generally not reliably, you can see in the video how the via that connects to the pad (where you solder the new jumper to) isn't center. The solder will form into a flat oval shape, this may make contact with the pad, however the bonding surface area is very small and is likely to crack in the future.

You know, REWA is more experienced than Apple's own technicians who can only play lego :p (yes, lightning port is broken but apple need us to change the whole board)
Assuming you've already disconnected all other attachments: 1.) Inspect the board for abnormalities. (Corrosion, missing or damaged components, bending of the board itself) 2.) If okay, connect the device to the computer to see if it is detected. 3.) If it detects, attempt to restore. 4.) If no, disconnect all connectors. 5.) Attempt to boot the device with the DC supply. 6A.) If it is drawing normal supply voltage, then power off, reattach one disconnected flex cable, then attempt to boot. Repeating this process until you come across the flex that is causing the device not to boot. 6B.) If the voltage stays at 43Ma, then the next step is to separate the board layers. 7.) After separation, attempt to boot the phone board. 8A.) If the boot current is normal, then your issue is with the RF board. 8B.) If the Phone board still does not boot then you'll need to begin a standard "No Power" board troubleshoot. Which is Power, Clock, Reset and Enable signals. ypyconnect the phone board to one by one. Boot then the issue lay with on of the connectoris mp

It would not last so long. The bond is too weak
