Well they have over 140 million fans all over the world. They have so many fans that 99% of the fans when they play abroad are not from England itself. In Australia 95% were not from the UK.

Us going on about Hillsborough isn't just about Hillsborough mate. It's more then that. It's about the power's that be, getting away with treating us so called common people like crap. We're only standing up for what's right. As for Heysal. That was a tragedy and we were rightly punished. Loss of life is always horrific. But answer me this. You're in the crowd with your kid and parts of the crumbling stadium are being thrown from the opposing fans in you and your kids direction. Would you do nothing or try stopping it. The game should never have been played there. Stadium was falling apart. Now I'm not excusing what happened. But I for one would not stand there and watch my kids be hit with rocks. And if you think any differently then you're no man or father. So before you comment again against us. You should have the facts first. I hope maybe now you might think about us slightly better. We ain't bad people. Yeah we can be a bit cocky or mouthy sometimes but that's who we are and we are only usually just having a laugh. But everyone is welcome here. YNWA
@adamsmallwood9541 As a neutral football fan southerner, I 1000% agree m8. There were multiple factors at play in Sheffield, #1 police conduct. #2 Stewards conduct.. #3 Home fans conduct.!! I have stood and sang YNWA most match day’s for over 60 years. Every time I sing seems to be more emotional, maybe because I am now in my 70s. Liverpool Football Club has been a constant throughout my life. Thanks for sampling what this song means to so many YNWA.
i went to my first liverpool game in 1979 as a teenager in the KOP and we sang this song week in week out, we didn't finish with "alone ", we would chant WALK ON WALK ON WALK ON after the song had finished.

Back in the 70s Liverpool were untouchable with players like Kevin Keegan, Phil Neal, Steve Highway, Kenny Dalglish and Ray Clements. They were unbeatable for many years.
Thanks guys. I’m a Liverpool lad born n bred on The Kop. A little special bit of info. There were over 95,000 fans at that game and Steve Gerrard, was so touched he turned to fellow scouser, Jamie Carrager and said ‘this is the loudest we ever has this!’ He said it gave him goosebumps! I hope one day, you get the opportunity to visit Anfield when the Kop roars…there’s no stadium on Earth that can emulate Anfield on a European night! Watch us on LFC fans in Madrid singing Virgil’s song! And that’s 5 hours before the game, Virgil Van Dyke’s family told him and he didn’t believe them so he put on a disguise and went to see for himself… Thank you YNWA ❤
This song was by Gerry and the Pacemakers a 60s band from Liverpool, and has been sang by the fans for decades. Check out the Hillsborough disaster that cost 97 fans life's in the FA cup final, that really sticks extra emotion into the song. The Captain in this clip is Steven Gerrard, a Liverpoodlian lad who came through the academy to one day lead his team and his country. Many times he could have taken big money to join other teams(millions of pounds), but was a very rare 1 club man.
Lead his country terribly you mean, very rarely played well for England and a big reason why we lost to Uruguay, when he fell over, just like he did for Liverpool, who he never won a Premier league title with. Big money transfer, Liverpool are a massive club, didn't need to leave, only for more trophies.
Can i suggest a reaction please. The liverpool player they showed at the end is steven gerrard one of liverpools best ever captains. The video the end steven gerrard is even more moving than this as it shows the ups and downs of his career. Its a must watch slainte from ireland 🇮🇪

The song is taken from the musical "Carousel" - but not that many people have heard of it. The most famous version of the song was recorded by "Gerry and the Pacemakers in the 1960's: they were a band associated most famously with the "Merseybeat" - the Beatles being another famous contributing band from Merseyside.
Loving your channel. I always feeling that the folks in Australia, many came from the UK and still have family back home and so have great nostalgia for football clubs such as Liverpool. A Liverpool fan for 35 years at the time - since I was a small kid; I flew over from Perth for this match and was sitting halfway up the Olympic stand. The entire stadium was red, except for a tiny group of Melbourne Victory fans in one corner. Stevie G scored and Suarez played half a game too. Still have the YNWA recorded too.
Diehard Aussie LFC fan. I was there, and it was truly moving. About Halfway thru I stopped singing coz I was overcome with emotion. I just took it all in… when I got back to Sydney a couple of days later I actually struggled to recount it to ppl I knew without tearing up.
