Great video guys! I’m looking at installing the pro cut bumper on my 2023 Raptor R. Spoke with ADD yesterday, they are confirming if any mods need to be made, apparently they got a R in to their shop yesterday, waiting to hear back from them… I pick mine up in two weeks and am looking forward to the next build!
Great Quality and Content in This Video!
Looks awesome and functional! Can't wait to install mine. 👍
Love how informative and no nonsense you guys are. Can this bumper work with the full Cobb Stage 3 package you offer? Use Cobb intercooler vs SVC one.
Great video. Quality info. Very clear and informative.
Which Baja design lights do you have on the bumper?
What is the diamater of the front main tube please?
Great video, very informative. That is a very aggressive looking bumper, I just love that look. Only thing I’m wondering is why the bumper doesn’t come out flush to the fender flares. It looks like it’s about an inch short width wise
GS300 Rich good question.
I personally don’t notice it. I think that when ADD built it, they thought of a lot of things. When upgrading to larger tires and mid travel, the front end will be moving a lot. Leaving room for articulation so nothing rubs is very important. I’m working on a mid travel with HM Racing that’s coming at 92” wide and could use the room with 37’s.
A lot of the luxury prerunners don’t have a full length bumper, it’s minimal and covers about 2/3 of the facia. Trust me, you won’t care once you have it on your truck.
Offroad Alliance thank you for the reply. Makes complete sense. I wasn’t knocking the look, was curious as to the reason behind it
How much was the total cost?
Why the change to the ADD intercooler?
JonD985 the ADD OC, by AFE, was designed to fit with this bumper. The piping is great and hardware is top notch. Slightly smaller, in a good way. With frame cut bumpers, the air flow as you drive and the faster you drive, will pull away from the grill and goes underneath the truck due due to the new aero created with the frame cut bumper. This is also why you must keep the shroud.
The larger IC could have an adverse reaction since it covers more of the surface of the radiator and cause rise in coolant temps.
You can mitigate such issues with the larger one, but you won’t encounter them as much with the ADD one.
@@OffroadAlliance very good explanation..I'm just getting into understanding the gen 2 & mods..I'm new to this. I think ADD builds a bolt on bumper like yours, what would be the pros & cons of a frame cut vs. a bolt on bumper?
@@JonD985 Great Question!
@@JonD985 Great question! So, with the Pro Bolton, you retain the frame horns. A little more "cushion" but less approach angle. The Bolt on does not require you to relocate or upgrade the IC, which good and bad since the IC is the weakest link on the truck when it comes to performance and heat soak. with the Frame cut (mine) you have the most aggressive approach angle, aggressive look and full function of the truck. Ford sells those frame horns at the front parts counter because they know people will be modifying their trucks. You are welcome to contact me directly if you have further questions and I will be happy to assist you.
@@OffroadAlliance Definitely will have to do that.
Wiring the lights video please!
xmldigitz1 writing is super super simple with our custom harness. You cannot mess it up. All color coded and plugs right in.
@@OffroadAlliance do you have a link to that wiring harness please?
you forgot to mention that this will not fit with the stock intercooler!!!!!
I am really pissed off. I failed to consider... I bought a used raptor,, it had an ADD Pro bumper. I hate it.. I planned to replace with another ... rouge throttle ... bought that too... but. I can’t because the moron before me was a total idiot and put this on... there is no going back without huge expense ... don’t do it... not this one
You can buy brand frame horns from ford, they can be welded on and will bring the truck back to stock.
You still have the bumper? I’ll buy it off you….
