Michael Glenn This is probably really late but you have to take the entire bumper off and it definitely looks unfinished without the end caps

Elyaquidiaz: We apologize but we are not sure what bumper you are referring to. This video shows how to remove a factory front bumper. We do have other videos that show different after market front bumpers being installed. We can not confirm if a factory front bumper from a 2017 Ford Raptor will fit a 2016 Ford F150 XLT. Sorry.

Technically the bumper will "fit" meaning the bolts will line up and attach.. but the XLT doesn't have the wide body fenders and flares like the Raptor. If you took this bumper and put it on your XLT, it would stick out about 4" on each side.
