Little bits of exaggeration aside, I love how this series portrays Anakin and Padme's relationship. It's handled soooo much better than in the prequel films. You can tell there is actual chemistry between them and a longing to be together that they are constantly struggling to keep at bay. Is good stuff.

Gennedy really is a master at visual storytelling, from the council members to the streets of Coruscant. That last bit with Anakin and Padme was so poetic, as with both the hologram and Anakin's robotic hand it shows just how unattainable their desired relationship is.
Wasn't this show the reason (at least indirectly) why the original series got cancelled back in 2003? Not that it matter anymore, but I was wondering why.
As a kid i wasn't all into these scenes, but as an adult i appreciate the character and world building so much more. I would love the Old Republic to be animated and told in this style.

These scenes hit all the right spots for me. So satisfying to see with music changes as well. Obi wans calm proud face as anakin gets knighted was a perfect touch.
I love this series more than 3D clone wars because they really managed to squeeze the expressions out of character that otherwise couldn’t. 3D really keeps that limitation from live action but here it’s believable
What a fantastic opening. It really shows how Anakin looked up to Qui Gon, and it’s really upsetting that he never got to spend meaningful time with him.

Not wrong at all. We know how obsessive and possessive Anakin's love for Padme becomes due to his fear of loss, and here when he wraps his hand around the hologram as if to hold her and keep her, she slips through his fingers. I don't know for sure if that's what the creators intended here, but if so it makes total sense. Nice catch! :)

5:44 I love this scene because Anakin is late and then goes for a low blow on Obi Wan by saying that he's "no Qui-Gon Jinn" which shows Anakin's emotional instability and then he immediately becomes knighted after this tense moment that Obi Wan deescalates. It shows us that Anakin is unfit to be a Jedi right now.

I love this series more than 3D clone wars because they really managed to squeeze the expressions out of character that otherwise couldn’t. 3D really keeps that limitation from live action but here it’s believable

Not wrong at all. We know how obsessive and possessive Anakin's love for Padme becomes due to his fear of loss, and here when he wraps his hand around the hologram as if to hold her and keep her, she slips through his fingers. I don't know for sure if that's what the creators intended here, but if so it makes total sense. Nice catch! :)

5:44 I love this scene because Anakin is late and then goes for a low blow on Obi Wan by saying that he's "no Qui-Gon Jinn" which shows Anakin's emotional instability and then he immediately becomes knighted after this tense moment that Obi Wan deescalates. It shows us that Anakin is unfit to be a Jedi right now.

It really puts the duel of thr fates into perspective bc even tho Obi wan avenged qui gon by defeating maul the damage it did to anakin a growth was catastrophic as anakin needed a father figure and he looked to obi wan as such but obi wan saw him as a brother which shows the disconnect. He really did need qui gon to be the Jedi he was meant to be.
I miss the real Star Wars and the complex and human relationships that defined the story much deeper than space battles without substance :/
