If there is truly a heaven I pray to meet Natalie Wood she was not only beautiful she was such a sweet person I still cry for her I hope she did not suffer Jii St John can't hold a candle to her or Carry her boots. I don't know how they live. With. There sell. Love you Natalie and I will always as long as I live I have a granddaughte. Named after you. Love you Sally
Wish me a rainbow and wish me a star All this you can give me wherever you are And dreams for my pillow and stars for my eyes And a masquerade ball where our love wins first prize Wish me red roses and yellow balloons and black sequins whirling to gay dancing tunes I want all these treasures - the most you can give So wish me rainbow as long as I live All my tomorrows depend on your love So wish me a rainbow above
Saw this movie back in the late 60's in the Philippines and could not forget it. Thank God just saw it again on Turner TV. Memorable movie and great acting by Natalie Wood and simple but sweet melodic music "Wish me a Rainbow". One of my favorite movies.
My mother sung this song to my daughter and nieces when they were little. I became a grandmother last week and my grandson loves me to sing this to him and "Sunshine On My Shoulders". Of course, its along with the recordings because I can't carry a tune. He doesn't care though.
I just saw this movie for the first time the other day. This has to be the saddest little girl I have seen for a long time in the movies. She lost her sister, now wears her tattered clothes and worn jewelry and is developing a bleak outlook--a callousness. She will pine for something better just like her sister. Living in the old abandoned house....what struck me is the genius of this song and the presentation of this character. She is slowly becoming a woman, a young teen, and her voice is not perfect pitch and rings with both maturity beyond her years as well as child-like at the same time. She has little chance at life, and such is the tragedy.
I love this movie. Watched it a thousand times. This is how I got to love natalie wood and all her movies.
My favorite version of this song. Mary B. Knocks it out of the park!!! Simple yet flawless!
A BITTERSWEET.. MEMORY..

Gracias, acabo de ver "Propiedad Condenada" y ha sido una grata sorpresa ver esta canción aquí.
Ho iniziato a cantarla due giorni fa, è spuntata dal nulla nella mia memoria…e ora l’ho trovata. Bellissima versione struggente

I think this movie and "To Kill A Mockingbird" were Mary Badham's only movies. She's from Birmingham, Alabama.
