Very smart! That tape allows you to “unwrap” when you want to propagate your plant! No more trying to pull roots through a moss pole grid to take a cutting! Thank you!
They’re all my favorites too. I’d keep my one monstera, my Hoya multiflora )it’s in constant bloom), my peacock calathea, and my only philodendron tortum
I’ve been thinking of getting clear pots as long as I can find a saucer for it to drain into. Thats the only thing I worry about, the draining of the water from the pot. I don’t use pin but my own mix of coco coir, cocoa husk, leca, earthworm castings, large number four perlite, orchid bark if I have it and some else that I can’t remember right now. Very chunky and airy.
I haven’t come over to the pon side yet. It would be a big undertaking to start it up. All new containers, the pon, and the restarting in water for the water roots to get ready for pon.
I’m at 59% humidity in my house. I used to run two humidifiers but when I started seeing mold I stopped cold turkey. During the summer it stayed at 45%. Higher in the winter cause of the rain we get here in the Pacific Northwest.
I appreciate the details in this video, I see I have to adapt the way I propagate and water. Esp the transition point from water -> pon/perlite -> final medium (eg soil). Thanks🙏 Jing
In Oregon we don’t use plastic take out containers. They are usually paper containers. No good to use for prop containers. I do have some Starbucks cups, though for water prop b
I ❤ your videos. Especially when you just say whatever pops into your head. Lol 😂 Ask….AskS 😂😂😂 Please tell me what those clear sheets are on the moss pole? I do not see the sheets in the description. I may be missing it. Thank you. Go 🇨🇦!
Hahaha sometimes I want to delete those random thoughts... But I'm glad you enjoyed it! I added the clear cover to the description, but here's the link (amzn.to/3YI2Zl6)
I do! But i would say it's not doing the best. It grew a couple new leaves but I think I don't water it often enough and some new leaves had crisped up before unfurling...
What a unique way to make moss poles, seems a better way to go than zip ties and wire grids, thanks for sharing, Jing!
Glad you liked it! I've found it so much easier to work with.

You’re welcome! I’ve been using this method for a few years now 😊
You’re saying it perfectly. A lot of people say “axe” instead of “asks”.

I am excited for this video! And Thanks for my Sarawak begonia .. she’s still alive 🎉thank you for the clear explanation about the air pocket..
I'm so glad to hear it's doing well! 🎉 Glad you found the video useful
Yes, I love peeling off the sheaths, too. Such a satisfying sound.
This has been a really interesting video. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Love Hugo's tape❤
Sounds like a unique job.
Gorgeous backdrop!!
Thank you ✨

O definitely have much more success with perlite in between the substrate move. Let me know if it works our for you too ✨
Hi, I loved this video. Chock full of valuable information. Thank you for sharing.
So glad you found it helpful! 😊

I use cinnamon on propagations as well💖
If it works us, then that's the right way 💕
Ask. Yes, you pronounced it right. You're doing great with your English, I know it's a frustrating language. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the encouragement! So hard to say "asked' for me 😱
Good afternoon Jing😊

I couldn’t see them either.

I bought some azamax but never used it. I can’t remember what I bought it for. 🤷♀️
Audio is great. Can hear you just fine.
Yay USA lol. Always fun. Love the pink or blood squamicole, hmm not sure how to spell it 😅. So dark n moody.
I can't get enough of the dark and moody foliage too! 🖤
Pretty nifty!!😊
I’ve heard that safers end all soap is being discontinued.
Oh no! I really like them 🥲
Where do you get that tape from? 😊
It's from Amazon! Linked in the description 👌
Thank you 😊
Will you have Hoyas for sake. This video went up on a Monday. Is your live sale tomorrow or next week?
It's tomorrow! It will start at 3pm PST on my Instagram account. Will have some Hoyas!
Is the Hugo’s tape sticky or does it just cling to itself like Saran Wrap?
It clings to itself like cling wrap. No adhesive
Ladybugs are deadly to aphids. Favorite food
Who of the three of you had the tofu anthurium first (you, Alice, or Charmaine)?
I imported it and sold one to Charmaine
Do you still have your elaphoglossum metallicum? Any updates?
I do! But i would say it's not doing the best. It grew a couple new leaves but I think I don't water it often enough and some new leaves had crisped up before unfurling...
@planthappens I'm glad it's growing!
Do you know what time?
I hear a lot about anthuriums a lot
You are making moss poles the old way that Charmaine used to
That's because we came up with this pole together 😂
I don’t think Charmaine does as much stem cleaning as she used to.
Are anthuriums aroids
Yes they are ✨
