I remember throwing my friend for the first time during a spar. He was like “Wow that gave me a new perspective on the world.” I was like “Yeah what was that?” He responded with “Upside down.”

We teach the kids in our club to use Ogoshi as a quick reaction to an over-the-back grip. If they get your back, shoot your hips in, follow in with your backstep, and throw. Often it is done Kenkayotsu. We, for whatever reason, have a good number of lefties in the club, so we all are in opposite stance about a third of the time.

if you do it like that without kuzushi you will get countered very easy
Edit: I mean that you (as someone who's trying to learn) have to unbalance first before doing the Ogoshi, wich is the base for all techiques
