I remember throwing my friend for the first time during a spar. He was like “Wow that gave me a new perspective on the world.” I was like “Yeah what was that?” He responded with “Upside down.”

Wow...fun...interesting story
Everyone started to clap slowly?
@@RjM777what do you mean by that??
@@beanhopprYT that how all the very real stories end
As a beginner i have great success with this throw!
We teach the kids in our club to use Ogoshi as a quick reaction to an over-the-back grip. If they get your back, shoot your hips in, follow in with your backstep, and throw. Often it is done Kenkayotsu. We, for whatever reason, have a good number of lefties in the club, so we all are in opposite stance about a third of the time.
I have missed two weeks of class due to other training and have been watching your videos the whole time! Thank you
Love the move, super good way to make it better!!!
Great stuff!
Great instruction - I have been trying this in my randori.
Super great channel!

The last time I wore my purple bjj belt to a judo class they all laughed at me and commented wtf is that belt? 😅
I wear my white belt now as I am a white belt in judo...
damn brutal
Wait what? Why did you do that?
@@AniWho268 Was a new gym. I told the sensei I do bjj and I'm a purple belt. His like cool, ok you can wear that. Oh ok? So I did. Fuck did I walk into that one.

if you do it like that without kuzushi you will get countered very easy
Edit: I mean that you (as someone who's trying to learn) have to unbalance first before doing the Ogoshi, wich is the base for all techiques
I don't really have a dog in this fight, but you're telling an olympic gold medalist this.
@@josephlane1614That accolade may be exaggerated but I agree with your sentiment.
The guy is a red belt
@@rigobertogervacio223 comon sense is more important than belts
He might be good at judo himself but he didn't mention anything about kuzushi
@Mixmod Bakhtin he isn't teaching the basics of o goshi. He teaching the foot movement to make it faster.
