Hi Jake, just had a massive binge watch of your adventures. Fab content as always. I’ve so got allotment envy as done my back in and can’t do anything. Haven’t sown anything yet. Hopefully I can manage something this weekend. Keep the fab content coming. So nice to have my pots and petals fix. Take care and happy gardening x
BELINDA 😆 I was getting worried! Thought I hadn't heard from you in a while! Lovely to hear from you 😊 Oh dear! Make sure you rest up so you can get back out there soon! Ah, it's so nice to hear from you again. I hope you've been keeping well and enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend 😊💚🌱
Snow! I must admit, I think Wales had some snow yesterday! But they do say that we are more likely to get snow around Easter than Christmas, we have Dickens to thank for a white Christmas! Hope you're managing to get out in the garden now!! 🌱😊💚
Ahh tulips 😢😢 maybe next year. Mic 🎤 sound great 👍. It’s absolutely pouring here so not a lot outside work getting done. Nothing says spring like the smell of fresh cut lawn. Yes sadly too much rain and snow rotted so much here too. That flower corner should look amazing Jake. Have a wonderful weekend, Ali 🌦️☔️🇨🇦
There is always next year Ali! I did go in a little hard with them this year, but they're so colourful and bright!! Oh no, snow still! Has it passed now? Hopefully not too long now and we will have some warmer weather to enjoy! Good things come to those who wait right? Hope you're keeping well and enjoying Easter 😊💚🌱
Wondering if the bamboo is clump forming. If not, the running roots will take over your area, and your neighbor's. I love your videos, and look forward to the weekends when you post!
Hey Susan. I done a bit of research beforehand and they are clump forming. The neighbours are a good 2 feet lower than my side, so it would have to go crazy to start on their side and we have a foot between the plots. But if it does go a little wild, I'll just have to dig them up and have lots of new bamboo canes 😅 Hope you've managed to get out in the garden between the hail, rain and wind! 🌱💚😊
Great video Jake and the Mic is fab. It’s a beautiful day here today in Yorkshire so I’ll be down at the plot most of the day hopefully prepping my beds. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Deb
Hey Deb 👋🏽 and thank you! Oooo, I'm glad you're getting some sunshine! Tody has been pretty nice and I managed to get some filming down between the rain and the wind 😅 Hope you're enjoying the Bank Holiday and getting out in the garden! 😊💚🌱
Hahaha 😂😂😂 I'm glad I'm not the only filthy minded person out there!! What a name for a rose! 😂😂😂 Hope you're keeping well and lovely to hear from you! 💚😊🌱
Your seating area is really coming on Jake, if you have any more room a honeysuckle would be a good choice as would cover the fencing really quickly and would smell amazing on a summer’s evening when you are chilling out plus the insects would love it as well. I’ve been on a bit of a garden centre spree this week. I was in there getting something for a work colleague’s retirement present and just couldn’t resist having a nose in the discount corner. Got lots of pots full of going over crocuses and mini irises for 50p which I will add to the snow drops I planted out last year. Also a huge planter of tulips which was reduced to £4.99 and I have no idea why as the tulips were still in bud, I guess they are just moving out all their early spring stock. I will enjoy seeing them flower and then plant them in the green once they have finishes and I can reuse the pot for my tomatoes or peppers later in the year. Also got some beautiful terracotta succulent planters that were half price so will be planting one up with Echeveria, Sempervivum and Sedum and the other with Kidney Vetch which is brilliant for butterflies. I planted my onion sets in module trays last week (Sturon and Caballo this year), I like them to root first as there are so many wood pigeons around that would just pull them out if I planted direct. Also have peas and sweet peas germinating well so it feels like everything is starting to get going at last. Hope the weather is better for you today
Hey Nicki 😊 and thank you! Ooooo, that's a good shout actually. I have one in the wildlife area that has taken a while to take off. I might need to build a little trellis for it to start up on! But ood shout! Sounds like you've been busy in the garden centres! I really must visit one soon as its been a while. I haven't heard of all those plants, so I'll do a bit of googling later to see what they are! I'm always game for plants for butterflies! Sounds like the plot is coming on a treat as well! Would love to see what it looks like! I love sweet peas, but I can never get them going very well ☹️ I had some one year and the smell is something else! Maybe I need to try them again, but I might have missed the boat! Hope you are keeping well and enjoying the Bank Holiday if you're lucky enough to be off work! Take care 😊💚🌱
Take care en veel tuinplezier 😊💚🌱
Great video. I am growing pink panther this year, for tdhe first time, they were recommended to me. I love the tulips you have on your plot. Especially the deep burgundy and the pale pink ones. Do you know their varieties please? I have made a private area in my plot with a row of buddleia, grown from cuttings. Lovely to sit theer in the summer with the sweet fragrance from the blooms and watching the butterflies, bees and insects feeding from it. My twisted hazel in my garden is over 12ft high and at least 10feet across. I have several cornus in my garden. I have just pruned mine back to get some lovely flame coloured stems( it is called midwinter fire. Cuttings can be easily struck from the prunings so a whole hedge can be made easily if wanted. Love Golden showers- beautiful yellow fragrant blooms. A strong climber. Heard you great- no problems! Happy gardening
Oooo, we'll have to see how we both get on! It's a first for the both of us! I love tulips, they're just full of colour this time of year, very flashy! If you look back to my videos at the beginning of autumn, you'll find a video where I run through my varieties because I have quite a few! Oooo, you're garden sounds lovely! Gives me some hope for mine! I'm hoping to grow the Hazel around the shed... if that's even possible 😅 and I didn't realise the Golden Showers is fragrant so I'll look forward to that! Lovely to hear from you as always! Take care and I hope you're enjoying the garden 😊💚🌱
@@pots-and-petals thank you. I will try and find your tulip planting video so I can make a note of their names and order some bulbs this Autumn. Cheers :-)
@@pots-and-petals I've lookd at 3 videos but sadly can't find the one where you give the names of all the tulip bulbs.I watched the bulb lasagne one and you gave a few names of some bulbs but not the ones I saw today. In that video you said you gave out the names, a couple of videos back from that,. I looked back through but couldn't see any with tulips or bulbs in the titles :-( No worries.
I'm so sorry, I've just made it my mission to have a look through the archive. The only really pale pink tulip I had was called First Class and the burgundy one I'm pretty sure is the Alison Bradley! I hope this helps! 💚😊🌱

What mower are you using? Looks great.
Hey! It's a cheap Argos special from a few years back. Does the job perfectly! But I think I might treat myself to a new one soon 💚😊🌱
