Hi, Soya Sauce is actually used quite often in our cuisine, and you will see it being used in many hotels and restaurants in Sri Lanka specialising in local food. My grandmother always added a sugary touch at the end. That’s our twist! ;) It’s frankly amazing! ♥️
@@CeylonLover I remember buying locally brewed soy sauce in Colombo when we lived there in the 70s and early 80s. It was made by Lankan-Chinese. Colombo 10 I think. My mom used a lot of soy sauce in her cooking.
@@Gordi_B interesting. True- Locally brewed would have been delicious. The right amount brings in an umami taste, one of the five basic tastes. Perfects for curries, meats and broths!

You need to have the Qty of the items.
They are there. You need to watch until the end and you will see it listed.
With all the ingredients which is so aromatic don’t need jaggery n soy sauce. It’s your grandma version not authentic.
