Great video. I love the constant emphasis on you, you, you, I see so many times when people in the creative industry, not just photography, base everything on what other people are doing. A lot of animals require a very controlled/studio environment, but to me, that for dogs is boring, I want to be in the forest, fields, beach, anywhere but a 20x20 room, and I will photograph anything, fur, fin, feather, scales, 8 legs, I don't care, that's my niche
Sounds like you are off to a strong start! I agree. It’s easy to feel pressured especially when first starting to do what everyone else is doing, but truth be told, I didn’t like studio when I tried it. I love dogs outside in the sunshine doing what they do best! That’s what you’ll become known for and clients will pay good money for. Besides it lends to so much more variety. I have friends who do studio and love it. They love the repetitiveness of it. It just goes to show if you follow your heart and your gut, that’s what will help you stand out!
Great video Jo. I'm not 100% sure your mic that you were holding is actually whats being recorded???? Sounds a little bit distant with some 'echo' in the room, (I say that very lightly), but to me its like it is only the camera mic that is recording. I would have thought with you holding mic close (and I can see that it is on), that sound might have been just crystal clear. I could well be wrong in all this... but just my observations. Thanks for the great vids, I enjoy them !!
Hi! I totally get it... I did do some test takes without it and it's definitely the mic I'm holding that's recording. Our house is pretty minimalist, so I need figure out how to better soundproof so there isn't as much echo. I appreciate the feedback and for you watching! I'll continue to get better with the audio, I promise. LOL Warmest, Joanne
@@JoanneWetzel All good. I mean it all sounds good, don't get me wrong at all. I just would have thought it to be a tad more 'crisp'. It's def a minor minor thing on the content you are doing. Great job.
Very valuable information! Thank you!
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching! Best, Joanne
