If you want to do this professionally, highly recommend using Lightroom and Photoshop for editing. They aren't the end all be all, but what a lot of photographers use especially if you want to outsource editing later on. In terms of camera, it really doesn't matter what you use, it's the understanding of your manual settings that matter! Some cameras and lenses are better for capturing action photography and dog sports, but you won't start there. Learn your equipment as best you can and then do your research and upgrade once you've been doing this for a bit! Hope that helps. Best, Joanne
